this is so awesome, im moving soon and i wont have a ton of space in the bedroom so something like this would be perfect, this thing and a vr headset would be the dream
I just had a GT Lite Pro gifted as a birthday present, and I really wish id seen this review before attempting to put it together. Your video made it a much more simple process than the instruction booklet and my skillset made it! The locking mechanism with red latch that locks the seat in place is really tight on mine, so its hard to loosen and tighten for set up and pack down. Im hoping that regular use will loseen the mechanism up a little. Also, the use of a strap between the front and rear bars of the seat (along the floor) is genius. I've used black electrical tape for cable management rather than the supplied small Velcro straps, which was just personal preference. Overall, its a bit too early to say whether this is going to be a good rig or not, but as I'm a casual gamer on PC (Assetto Corsa) and PS5 (GT7 and EA WRC), so long as it sets up snd packs down between gaming sessions, I'll be happy. My first hour session agrees with your observations that the seat is comfortable to sit in and well ventilated. The padding is more than sufficient, so its an improvement on the kitchen chair I was using up to now... 😅 Overall, this was a really good review. Even though ive already purchased one and set it up, I still found it valuable to show how simple it should be to fold away and store. That was the key factor in why this rig was purchased in the first place.
My son has the GT Lite but this one seems nicer with the cushion seating. His folds up the same as well. Seams the assembly on the Pro is more easy cause I felt attacked assembling his seat😂 Great video!!!!!
@@TheBurleigh22 my son is 11 and he’ll be 5ft the next time he sneezes lol. He’s not really into the racing as much yet, I got it cause I thought I was doing something that was going to shock him. Now I’m introducing him to the VR world.
GT LITE PRO. Great review. Wasn’t sure about how the folding would go with the wheel etc still attached. I’ll probably get one now based on what you’ve shown.
So glad I came across this video. Your attention to detail is amazing and I'm very glad because I just came across one of these through Facebook marketplace for the wonderful price of $180 and for me that was very good considering the owner only had it one month. I'm hoping that I can break it down to store it as easy as you made it look. Once again thank you for such great content.
Very fair review. I've TWO of the GT Lite rigs, and using the storage strap to lock the vertical movement of the wheelbase (tying upper horizontal bar - wheelbase - to lower bar - front of chair) really, REALLY adds to stability. I'm thinking I may even manufacture a simple metal (not huge!) bar to completely stop vertical movement, as this seems to be the biggest issue with this rig, tho as you say, it is NOT a real issue when driving. I'd slip a sort of clamp at the front of the wheelbase plate and connect it to a rod or bar, and connect that to the bottom horizontal bar. I can't understand why NLR didn't think of this.
I'm actually thinking of getting the GT LITE PRO! I'm new to sim racing and finally got a Logitech G29 racing wheel and shifter for my PC and PS4. Great video 👍🏽
Me too, I have the g29 with the pedals and shifter, and no seat, it has been collecting dust, and I have psvr2 with gt7, and now WRC23 is coming out, I am pulling the trigger on this seat.
at about 5:50 minutes you had mentioned that the screws and washers included were too small for the mounting of the pedals. You kind of blew through this critical part of the review. What screws did you use to mount your pedals? Did you go out and buy longer M6 screws to go with the bolts and washers?
Hello I have a few questions! First I noticed on the left side of the rig that has the strengthening strap when I tighten it like you did, I have some strap left over. Is this normal? Also as far as the shifter plate goes, I just got a th8s but it only has a desk mount. Can a shifter be mounted to this by a clamp or just by a bolt? I'm new at this sim stuff, so I hope I'm asking the questions right.
Hi, I recently purchased an F-Gt lite iRacing edition and was wondering whether this is better to hold DD wheels and if the F-Gt lite is good enough for DD bases. I've been loving the rig so far, but I'm looking forward to upgrading my wheel and I'm wondering if I should return my current rig and get this one instead.
So they added 2 straps, and an extended plate and changed the seat and added $100 to the price? I think ill stick with the gt lite and buy the extended bracket even for a dd wheel since its construction is the same
Have you tried out the Playseat Challenge X? I just bought that one but it arrives tomorrow and after seeing this video I'm not sure which one to go with... I want a foldable one for space but I heard that the shift mounting plate is not adjustable on the Challenge X.
Nice video it's very detailed and we'll explained, I have a video request, well if you can make it, can you make a video showing how to do cable management in this cockpit and similar one? Thanks!
Great review as always! "GT Lite Pro". Also - question: considering that you've reviewed this AND the Logitech Playseat, do you think the Playseat (Trophy) is worth the extra premium? Both don't have real racecar seats so I'm leaning towards the GT Lite Pro. I'm also getting the Logitech G Pro Wheels...
They're both good seats but you get a bit morr value for money with this one as the frame is slightly more ridge with a normal positionfor the shifter, but the Playseat is best if you're limited for space as once folded it takes up a minimum amount of space.
@geekstreet i've got a logitech challenge X and want to mount a Logitech Pro wheel on it. With your experience how do you think they will work well together, is that to much powe (Nm) for a folding seat?
This seems better than having to use twist ties to run a Playseat Challenge with load cells and a DD. But the PSC looks like it’s more compact when folded.
I am very interested in this but I am seeing some reviews trickle in about the stitches coming out of the chair bottom. Even for somebody that is 64kg. Have any experience with this? Otherwise, it looks like a banger of a setup for entry level. 'GT Lite Pro'
Does anyone know what next operations return policy is, I ordered the gt-lite just about two to three months ago with no knowledge of this coming out I would definitely pay the extra money if I could exchange my gt-lite
I was wondering if u can't send me an Logitech g920 plz I really want one I would really appreciate it plz I really want one but my parents can't afford to buy me one
Great to see a GT Lite Pro review that shows the folding process and gives an idea of the space it uses. Thanks!
You're welcome!

Tring to work if Fair Review is a good or bad thing 🤔😅 A single bar from the wheel to the pedals would completely stabilize it for sure.

Would you recommend this or the Playseat Challenge?
hi i just wanted to say i love your videos
Thank you so much ❤️
just ordered mine, can’t wait for it! making the upgrade from a racing stand, this should be enough for me. gt lite pro 👍🏼

Just a question: can you buy extra shifter holder
Great review really helped me out. Thank you.
I order this last night and a thrustmaster tsxw i can not wait to try it 😀

My main concern was, "Do I need to purchase additional hardware for the steering wheel, shifter, or pedals?", thank you for answering!

im putting this together right now and the washers are wayyyy too small for the pedal mounting...now i gotta go out and get bigger ones
can you help F-GT lite or GT lite Pro?? which to pick? what is the difference?
Is it able to go into a formula seating position?
No unfortunately not
Is it also a good Idea using it with a desk???. I mean the hight where you sit?
Thanks for the great video! I just ordered one of these today! I can't wait for it to arrive!!!
lovely review. straight to the point!
So with this cockpit it wouldnt be as recommended for a setup for PC with a monitor right? Cause there is no monitor mounting connection?
How do you screw the pedals to the pedal plate without the screw falling off all the time? Did you use bigger washers?
Great review as always..GT LITE PRO 👍

My desk is twice the height of that stand in the video. Can you possibly raise the chair sitting height? So your not so close to the floor

Is it possible to position it to make it like an actual car? Like adjust it so that its similar to a real car seat

If you're going to upgrade to a DD wheel I'd say yes return your current one as the straps at the front provide additional rigidity.
my right reclining knob won't budge at all. i assume this isn't normal? my product did come in with a damaged box
GT LITE PRO .... useful video thanks

does the flex for the g pro racing wheel really a big issue? am i missing out much by not getting a proper rig to support the G pro DD wheel?

hello mate, do you recommended this to all gamers? cheers
If your limited for space then definitely
I wonder and worries how handling force feed back on wheel. I play Gran Tourismo.
is this more stable than the f1 version?
I feel like if they added a support bar maybe two to addd stability for the wheel mount would be good. I’m sure they could make a mod or something.
That would definitely help
Excellent review

GT lite pro. I’m struggling to choose between this or the playseat trophy
If your limited for space go for this, otherwise i'd say go for the playseat
Can I position the shifter mount to the right side instead?
Yes
Can I build this so the door swings open the other way?
No unfortunately not
@@GeekStreet ah. Thanks for the answer.

The playseat takes up less space but this has a better build and a normal location for the shifter mount plus more adjustability.
