Shouldve put a pipe that's slightly smaleer inside and weld it then slide the other end onto it and weld so that the smaller pipe on the inside is taking most if the support

Tell ur buddy that it's more and likely oil leaking down the valley to the back of the engine which looks like it's a rear main seal. It's more and likely his hpop- high pressure oils pump or his turbo pedestal oil seals are bad. Have him look on top of his motor behind and below his fuel bowl and he might see alot of oils there. If it isn't then his hpop is ok. Have him look further back and see if it's the turbo pedestal.

I went from a 6.0L to a 7.3L and wished I didn't. The 7.3L is sluggish and gets horrible fuel mileage. I would take that 6.0L over a 7.3L any day. Good luck!!
