- I had been waiting for this trip to Pattaya for a few years. Whenever I looked at the flights and saw how many hours were involved I never could book the flight. The thought of 14 hours or more on one flight was too much for me. Well, a lot of my friends got tired of the problems in Colombia and took off to Thailand to check it out. I finally decided to just dig deep and go for it. I finally made it after 2 nights layovers in Detroit and again in S. Korea.

Wow! What a nightmare of a flying experience! Your posts are informative but frightening. I thought I'd be retiring to Cartagena but I'm not liking anything about the real estate situation there. Thailand is my second choice and real estate looks more regulated and affordable there (more bang for the buck). Like you said in your Cartagena posts, it's not easy.
If you land in a country without already having a connection you have to follow the rules of the country as if you were visiting and staying in that country.

When i travel abroad id take the $10 taxi over a shuttle bus 110 times out of 100.
So what was the difference that they approved it the second time? So will they compensate you for their error?
They never told me why the photo was rejected the first time. And I had to pay twice. $8 each time
