ab soul and kendrick are so close in comparison sometimes... i feel like they are the two who could sit in a room and record a classic album with eachother in one day. some of their songs have sounded so similar to me that it literally looked like soul wrote it for kendrick or vice versa
Kendrick is also the only guy who's been on a track with Ab Soul and held his own. Ab-Soul coached Kendrick on lyricism back when he was still K-Dot. He gave him a lot of his own techniques lol. In my honest opinion, Ab-Soul is a far better writer than Kendrick. His genius covers a lot of material, he has a good amount of universal knowledge. I mean Kendrick raps about Compton and it's dope, Ab-Soul raps about the apocalypse, other dimensions, and other abstract material. You be the judge.
