Time to link my new MEGA65 to my Mac and take advantage of all the wonderful MEGA65 tools available on the desktop and in terminal. In this video, I'll give you all the steps to connect your MEGA65 to your Mac, but you can modify these instructions for Linux and Windows.

Nothing in the works to use the Ethernet port in the mega65 to communicate to the mac?
It is. The serial connection tools were the priority for technical reasons. As more volunteers come on board to assist with development, those tools will be released faster. I'm hopeful M65Connect will also use that port in the near future.

Is it possible to programm the FPGA with the Adapter?
Nope. That's one of the limitations, but check out this post: c65gs.blogspot.com/2022/06/using-te0004-jtag-adapter-in-place-of.html?m=1
Rather than cd to the bin directory where the command line tools are, just add them to you path. Also might be nice to alias (or symlink) the commands without the osx part.
I actually cut a part of the video out that discussed this because it started getting out of the scope of the video. Glad you added it here.

Perhaps I should also start exploring this option....hmmmm. Or, wait for the ethernet connection....
This is easy and inexpensive and is a good stopgap measure until we get Ethernet connectivity. I recommend it now. It's sooo handy.
