Personally, I do agree with the Rolling Stone ranking. 'Gee' for me will always be the most iconic kpop song. It was the first kpop song to go viral on youtube and viral internationally and it's such a catchy and memorable song. I bet there are people who barely even know what kpop is who have probably heard and can remember the chorus. All that said, ITNW is also very iconic for many many reasons and one of my favorite kpop songs of all time too.
For me,SNSD Queens of vocals and the best korean girls gruop,SNSD vocals are so amazing, will always have the best vocal line in the kpop industryThese girls can sing! So much talent. Few current groups can come close. I am so happy to last year their comeback. Sing, Girls Generation, sing😍 BTW:Because of my previous request, some of the live stages in this collection of videos you've already watched, for example,'Taeyeon Rock Stage' 'Baby Baby Ballad Ver' 'Into the New World' Some of the live stages in the video ,In future, I will request your reaction Also all the songs in this video are described in the original video release link Thanks for your reaction💗 Also I know there are many wonderful stages in this video, but the time is too short, so that people not satisfying enough to watch😅
Seohyun is lead vocal and also the harmonizer of the group, ❤❤ and yes, she is my bias but in her early days she is stable in singing like Taeyeon but she is having problems with breathing control but after few years and especially after she joined musicals, she got a TON better, like skyrocket better! she is not breathy anymore and I must say she is on Jessica's level now or even a bit more.
Glad to see that you're enjoying Soshi Tamtam 🤣. Into The New World (ITNW) only received moderate success and wasn't an immediate viral song like Gee, Genie, The Boys etc... However because of ITNW's message, SNSD's excellent live performance and game/variety show always using it then ITNW became like the 2nd unofficial national anthem of S.Korea. Don't worry, ITNW is also listed as no. 33 in Top100 Kpop Songs according to Rolling Stone. Their live concert performance is definitely better than the MV.
I think Gee was the first Kpop song that went viral both in South Korea and in the international scene. This was when youtube was relatively new. Some would say they were the gateway to kpop for some foreign fans.
Into The New World just had a moderate success and that honestly did not propel SNSD to the mainstream unlike Gee. Gee really broke records and fought against the male-dominant charts during that time period. Gee, arguably, is the song that really put SNSD to the top and opened doors for other girl groups to do the same and crawl their way to the top despite the industry being dominated my male artists and groups. This is the reason as to why I definitely agree that Gee is the most iconic kpop song of all time. This is most probably the first song that introduced the kpop industry to the majority (not all) of audience that were once not familiar with this genre. I just think I Got A Boy should have been included in that list alongside Gee and Into The New World. Knowing the significant influence of this song to A LOOOOOT of kpop songs nowadays. Fave song? I think it's. One Last Time from their Holiday Night album. :)
as a long time Sone, and probably many Sones will agree... EVERYONE IN SNSD WILL BE YOUR BIAS😂. OR MAYBE THERE IS ONE THEN EVERYONE IS BIAS WRECKERS.... GOOD LUCK😅
that Dancing Queen Live Taeyeon High note is LITERALLY BETTER than the studio ver. if you compare HAHHA that sketchbook is popular for having 10000% LIVE Performances not until that group i don't wanna mention started lipsyncing (allegedly) maybe because of transitioning of generation?? IDK coz 2nd gen are famous for LIVE performances and their training are HARDER and LONGER than current groups the gov't even have to meddle to training methods of companys that's why it's kinda easier now compare before but the hard trainings reflects with what 2nd gen shows they can sing better and perform LIVE they aren't afraid to SING (no shade) coz that's the fruit of their hard work and trainings why wouldn't they show it off tho
It feels like companies are going with harder choreographies and are focusing more on the performances recently. I don't blame them because it seems newer kpop fans like hard choreos and girl crush concepts. Even in survival shows, people (especially kfans) are voting for dancers and all-rounders over main vocalists
19:30 alone deserves a full reaction please! thats THE video that make Taeyeon my ult of ult in kpop! if im not mistaken, that is Taeyeon's first solo stage in GG 1st concert tour and i think many said even from back then she already exudes a lot of charisma and meant to be on stage.
So when Rolling Stone picked the list...I think they ranked the top 10 at least prioritized/ranked it based on reception in Korea. Now I would say...this list is confusing since I don't see Gangnam style in there when KPOP was blown up out of proportion. I think they chose Gee since it caused quite a stir for a year as well as cultural reset... (1) skinny jean reset ....I MEAN COLOR SKINNY JEANS SORRY (2) it was popular with ppl in their 40s and 50s when kpop was for teenagers (based on a poll) (3) first major kpop song that reached outside of korea before Gangnam Style Yeah, I believe ITNW deserves a running for #1, but I guess we should keep it within the fandom house.
Ohhh Gangnam style is not there?! I didn't notice. It's weird because everyone knows that song. Like I heard it many time when I didn't know what kpop is lol... even my parents know that song and they don't know kpop
SNSD vocal line is legendary. The fact that SM could get all of them into the same group is a miracle

Yea the annoying part here is when I'm enjoying a stage and then they move to the next one haha

She's the youngest so I imagine she had more potential than the others to improve and learn throughout their career
Glad to see that you're enjoying Soshi Tamtam 🤣.

Appreciate the info, I wasn't a kpop fan back then so I wouldn't know how big Gee was... thanks!
as a long time Sone, and probably many Sones will agree...
EVERYONE IN SNSD WILL BE YOUR BIAS😂. OR MAYBE THERE IS ONE THEN EVERYONE IS BIAS WRECKERS....
GOOD LUCK😅
even Yoona says SNSD songs are really hard to sing😅.
Lmao you quoting her from Running Man

Ohhh my Queen!

@@OGzReacts whops rephrase. Gangnam Style was in #23 but it doesn’t make sense how it’s so far up there when should be at least top 10 I think.
@@OGzReactsLike Gangnam Style, so is Gee. People who aren't even a K-pop fan, know these two legendary songs even by the choreo.
sunny just left SM on August 8. now there are only four remaining members in the Oh! GG subunit. they are like aespa now. lol just kidding.
Sunny left SM not GG. She remain the member of both SNSD & Oh!GG.
