- Planeta Motorbike Expedition in Nice: Exploring Treasures of the French Riviera
Leaving Saint-Tropez behind, we arrive in vibrant Nice, capital of the French Riviera. After checking in at the hotel and accommodating our luggage, it was time to explore the city on our motorcycles.
1. Cathedrale Saint-Nicolas:
Our first stop was the Cathédrale Saint-Nicolas, a jewel of neo-Byzantine architecture that stands out in the urban landscape. We admire the grandeur of its golden bulbous domes, horseshoe-shaped arches and intricate decorative details. Upon entering, we are immersed in an environment rich in golden mosaics, sacred Russian icons and an impressive chandelier.
2. Musée Massena:
We then delve into the region's military and artistic history at the Musée Massena. The 17th century neoclassical palace, which was the residence of the Count of Massena, fascinated us with its imposing architecture. Inside, we explore the military life of Marshal André Massena, one of the most renowned French generals of the Napoleonic era. Uniforms, weapons, paintings, documents and other artifacts transported us to the past, narrating the epic battles and conquests of the famous general.
3. Place Massena:
We head to Place Massena, the beating heart of the city. This monumental square, adorned with statues and ornate fountains, invited us to a moment of rest and contemplation. We watched people come and go, admiring the architecture of the surrounding buildings and the vibrant atmosphere of the place.
4. Place Rossetti:
Place Rossetti, known as the "Sun Square", welcomed us with a charming and welcoming atmosphere. The flower-filled streets, inviting cafes and restaurants and the irresistible aroma of local cuisine won us over. We enjoyed a delicious lunch outdoors, enjoying the lively atmosphere of the square and the view of the Mediterranean Sea.
5. Place Garibaldi:
Finally, we visited Place Garibaldi, a historic square surrounded by red columns and arches. The statue of General Giuseppe Garibaldi, a hero of Italian unification, dominates the square, reminding us of the importance of local history and culture. We walk through the narrow streets around the square, discovering artisan shops, boutiques and charming cafes that reveal the authentic soul of Nice.
Nice presented us with an unforgettable day, full of history, art, culture and natural beauty. At each stop, our motorbikes took us to a new discovery, revealing the charms of the French Riviera.

Faz parecer que não há planejamento, já que não há um roteiro engessado com antecedência. Mas esse é o planejamento dos apps, vai "recalculando a rota" a todo instante 😅😅
