Just bought a couple of these switches, a single and a double. As Pat said, very easy install as long as you don't use the instructions that come in the box. 1 - Just remove your old toggle switch. 2 - Find out which wire is your positive supply. The other wire will go to your lights. 3 - Attach positive supply wire from old switch to in+ on dimmer. 4 - Attach the out+ to the other wire from your old switch going to your lights. 5 - Bundle all the in- and out- to your RV ground. You're done. I actually used my original switches in series with these so I could completely turn them off when not on shore power.
I hope this video helped out. I do this stuff for free at the moment. I don't get any revenue from UA-cam or any kick back from Amazon for the links. I am strictly an amateur at this stuff. Best of luck with your installation. Pat
Great video. I've been wanting to install a 12v dimmer switch for some time now. Thanks. Could you also take a look at our latest video, as we'd love to hear what you think as well.
@@EverythingRVbyPat No problem. I don't feel like opening everything up to hook up a meter either. Getting lazy in my old age. I'll post if I ever get an answer from Facon or RecPro.
I just don't know. I offer only marginal advice. I would say you might want to play a bit with it. try wiring it one way and then the other. When you find the one that works go with it. Worst case you might have to replace a fuse at the fuse box if you wire it incorrectly. It is so frustrating that wiring is all done in white wire. Difficult to advise you without actually seeing it for myself. Best of luck to you. Pat

Hi did you perform that installation in a Grand Desing RV ???
No. My RV is an Open Range Light 319 RLS 5th wheel.
@@EverythingRVbyPat Thank you !
draw on batteries when not plugged in to shore power?
I don’t know? I didn’t test it. I really need a meter but I don’t have one. I’ll see what I can do to get an accurate measurement.
@@EverythingRVbyPat Did you ever find out what the standby current is? I sent them an email but never got a reply.
@@Tom-In-Ga I apologize. I do not know.

My light switch has no negative wire coming out of wall. Only 2 neutrals, wire tied, and a positive in and out of switch. Any advice?
