Competitive purples are supposed to be awesome, you can tell nothing from watching this, only when watching them against champion brown or blacks would you be able to tell whether they belong in higher belt divisions, also the fact one of them beat the other by a substantial margin indicates that one may belong higher the other may not.
If they are not capable of beating higher belts who compete in this tournament there is no reason why they should be higher belts, people can’t judge high level Jiu Jitsu athletes by their own standards just as a top player in a low division football team is in no position to compare himself to a top player in the premier league, it’s a different world
