I need to find a switch that lets me hook my work laptop and person laptop to my dual monitors. I bought a splitter but it doesn't support multiple monitors.
This unit does not support 2.5 GBS on a MacBook Pro M3. Supposedly a design issue in the product (according to the marketing/customer service function). There appears to be no actual technical support. The issue is likely an out of date driver, but there is no energy to fix the issue.
This looks like really great device. It only has two problems. To much of the USB ports are at the front. Most USB connections are permanent connected. This I don‘t want to have at the front messing up my desk. Second problem is that it only supports Mac. I have a company’s Windows Notebook as well . The greatest dock isn‘t helpful, if dosen‘t Support the hardware. What I would like to know: These two TB4 links - is each of the TB4 links connected to special IOs? Meaning: Can I connect the Mac with only one single TB-Port cable and can I then still use all ports on the dock - maybe not with full speed?
Thanks for this video! Do you have to use the provided double USB C cable or will it work with one USB C cable too? I want only to connect one display and need a Ethernet port. Thanks in advance and best regards!
I really want to like this unit but the dock is unreliable. With the M3 Max I tried some gaming and the dock would lose connectivity with my monitor and sometimes lose Ethernet comms as well. Not reliable under load.... Too bad... it checked off all my boxes.... returned it.
I gave it one more try, purchased another one in case I had a defective unit. New one didn't have the Ethernet issues but still had the video connectivity issues. Then I had read someone's comment on another review that they had the same issue and if they plug in the MagSafe as well it resolved the issue for the M3 Max 16" MacBook. So.... keeping this 2nd dock it's just too bad I need to plug in the MagSafe as well. Otherwise it works great and solves my needs.
@@SumolX it makes sense... if you have 16" MPB Max it takes 130w charge. This Dock only outputs 96w to laptop. So it makes sense under load it would have an issue like this with the larger MPB Max models because they are more power hungry. Hopefully they come out with a 200w version so this problem is mitigated out the box.
I like this dock/hub it runs warm as two of the 4 port models (because it is)
Have you tried it with an Ipad pro with desktop mode?

But can the duel thunderbolt cable connect to a MacMini?
Can it be made to work with an M4 Mac Mini? (Given the dual USB plug won't fit)...
Hdmi 2.1 ports?
Nice one!
I have a macbook pro Mid 2014 running Big Sur. Do you have a dock recommendation for this mac?
Sold!!
