Would like to hear your opinion after latest earnings disappointment...
I get the impression it’s over sold. But I’m concerned about investing due to competition. I’ll think about this one.
its going back up now 60 is support lol
Any concerns bout the new Fednow rendering Paypal obsolete ?
In the UK plenty of other platforms offer international money transfers and much cheaper than PayPal… PayPal fees are ridiculous and unless they lower them more and more people will shift away… PayPal used to be a wise investment 5-10 years ago, now it’s a whole harder since competition has got a lot more stiffer in every aspect of their business as a parent company
Mo was onto something when he mentioned paypal being different from apple pay right? Like a lot of payment processing happens on paypal, where as the others are more for (just) sending money? I think that is what he was getting at, which seems like a reasonable argument.
Would love to hear an analysis of revolve.

Amazing video, A friend of mine referred me to a financial adviser sometime ago and we got to talking about investment and money. I started investing with $120k and in the first 2 months , my portfolio was reading $274,800. Crazy right!, I decided to reinvest my profit and gets more interesting. For over a year we have been working together making consistent profit just bought my second home 2 weeks ago and care for my family.
Hi. I’ve been forced to find additional sources of income as I got retrenched. I barely have time to continue trading and watch my investments since I had my second daughter. Do you think I should take a break for a while from the market and focus on other things or return whenever I have free time or is it a continuous process? Thanks.

Apple Pay is becoming more common on online transactions, and they make it even easier than PayPal so that worries me as an investor in PayPal. However, not everyone has an I phone.

11:30 Yeah, PayPal is never going to drop to 31$. At least not within the next 30 years.
It should be noted that Paypal's CEO - Dan Schulman purchased $ 2 million worth
of Paypal stock, at $ 72.00 per stock, in February of 2023. If you look at his buy and
sells of this stock over the last 5years, he's always been right and made money. I
think he has a good idea on the health of this business, as he's running the show. I
would say from most evaluations I've seen lately, it's around $ 90.00. I bought into
Paypal today, and at these prices, it's very hard to go wrong for a big established
company. By the way Daniel Schulman ( CEO) retires at the end of this year, so they
want to bring in some new person, who's creative, and can turn this business stronger.

Pypl is looking like easy money. Def dislocated from its fair value. But long term……., I use Appl pay for digital transactions…no fees and super convenient, particularly if your in the Appl ecosystem. I can see Appl dominating the space further down the road(they can w/ their capital), especially w/ the interest you receive on Appl pay cash back.

How is pay pal growing company if less and less people use it. I personaly use it and love it but I was always ordering stuff from Ebay so it was the only way, since nowdays they do not have a moat and shrinking I am bit concerned to buy more even at this prices but I will probabbly DCA into it just to lower my average price cause I still believe that it is under valued bellow 70 for sure ...
Because the TAM is growing. As Asia, Latin America, and Africa become more wealthy there will be more transactions, both online and physical. So Paypals market share will decrease while revenue can still increase.
YoY growth of new accounts is slowing, but its not declining.
Could be the same account that they have are growing companies , they make more money for the transfers they do , also PayPal just got a bigger cut on each transfer of money .AP
@Everything Money there's only so much profit a company like PayPal can squeeze out of each account, eventually they'll need new accounts to continue growing.

I think what Mo was trying to say is that PayPal is their own payment processor whereas Apple Pay isn’t.. Not sure if this is accurate but that’s what I think he was eluding to.
Exactly. Paypal is the #1 payment processor in the world by far with over 22 billion transactions last year.

@@thekingdemetri actually, i think Visa is the number one payment processor...
@@jankay8569 Visa isn't a payment processor. For example if you own an online store and you accept payments through PayPal, PayPal charges a fee and then releases the funds to your account. They're #1 in the world at payment processing. Visa is a completely different type of business.

You didn’t say Apple Pay!
is it a growing company though? How competitive are their fees compared to others in their sector?
profitable company
Seems like the bears are crowding PayPal because they're running out of stocks to short🤣
Haha .AP
Interested in discussing bear arguments. Like, is the drop or leveling in number of subscribers a big deal? Paypal says no, because their focus is increasing revenue per customer instead of number of accounts. What other bear cases are there? Why would you avoid buying PYPL? Thanks for any input.

- decline in active accounts
- margin compressions
- Moat deterioration
- Apple expanding into financial services

In my opinion PayPal's golden years are over, they had the payment monopoly when buying online was a risky thing, but this situation has changed. Increasing competence and a more secure enviroment will harm PayPal for sure.

I’m compiling and picking stocks that I’d love to hold on to for a few years before retirement, do you think these stocks would do better over the years? I’d love to retire with at least $2million savings. Now you gotta rely on a pretty good diversification if you must stay green. Currently up 21% and being cautious. Still better deal than letting it sit in savings or checking earning near 5% interest.
Well up at 21% in this present market is impressive. I was wondering if investing in a cumulative ETF during this next decade is a sound investment. Or is it better to invest in a distributing ETF (even considering taxes)?
ETFs are cool. My portfolio is very much diversified so it's not like i have a particular fund i invest in. You should probably copy a licensed person more so one with experience of the past bear markets. I copy a chartered financial analyst Camille Anne Hector Been quite consistent. My portfolio returned $250k in Q4
With only 350k what do expect people to do ? 10 shares of one of those stocks will not get u anywhere. 3 shares of Vanguard ETF give me a break . Forget the past of 10x stocks ! Those free money days are over ! With 350k just buy a ETF like DIVO with a 5% monthly dividend and add what u can each month.
I am envious I've been in the red for too long even before the dip but would like to ask are you giving her your money or the money stays in your account?
I have complete conttol of my account. That's the ideal for copy trading. My account only mirrors her trades in real time.

It’s both terrifying and a once in a decade opportunity if this hits the low to mid 30’s. Of you would have projected this any other time in history, I would have blocked your channel thinking your projected assumption was ridiculous.
We’re already in the very early innings of a recession. They are just waiting to formally announce it and when that announcement comes the market is going to correct in a big way!
No doubt in my mind we will see this somewhere in the 40’s at the very least. Let’s see where Mr. Market takes us in the coming months.
I think with Paypal the risk is that they are losing market share, slowing growth and uncertainity leadership/management. They currently dont have a CFO who has left, ceo is finshing up at the end of the year.
They are trying to navigate a very challenging period without internal stability.
All these people waiting for 20-30-40 will miss it just like they did Meta. How’s the saying go? Be greedy when others are fearful, but don’t be stupid.

I've heard so many UA-camrs over the last few years insist that PYPL was a great deep value buy at those prices, only for it to continue to fall. I just don't buy the bullish PYPL story, there's simply way more competition in the space then there used to be, and that's not changing. And based solely on what I read on social media a lot of people have had bad experiences with Paypal that got them screwed out of their money in one way or another, which only makes the competition issue worse.
You do realise people don’t talk when their experience is good?
Then they were trying to pump it , cause it has not been in deep value .AP

As opposed to Warren Buffet's times, today price is much more representative of the current situation. Whenever you see something cheap, there must be lots of knowledgeable people cautious of the risks ahead. So you never buy great businesses cheap. You are never the smartest in the market. I'd buy a small position only and wait and see. Risks = lower multiples. I don't think there are obvious buys today. If it was obvious it wouldn't be cheap.
Paypal is a prime example of the opposite though. Two years ago people were bidding up PYPL multiples to over 50x forward earnings. What was "obvious" back then but not now?. In fact Paypal stock is back to 2017 levels but back then it was trading at a 30 fwd. multiple. The earnings in the future (our present) materialised but now people don't want it.
I don't own it as I don't understand the business and don't hold US equities but I can see the appeal. I can also see it being competed against going forward.
The perfect example I can thing of right now that proves prices are not good indicators of current circumstances is Mcdonalds. Despite government bonds being at 15 year high yields, MCD is banging in all time highs. It pays out most of its cash as a dividend so should be priced as such. The dividend yield of 2% is the lowest its been going back to at least 2008. Its lower than 10yr government bonds, corporate bonds and savings accounts, Which makes absolutely no sense whatso ever.
@@SRParsonage what I mean is today low multiples reflect risks ahead or uncertainty. Otherwise it wouldn't trade for such a low multiple. Same levels today but low multiples means people think it may not grow as much. Take the example of Meta. It's always about how many times you wanna pay for it. Back two years ago money was cheap and everyone wanted to play this game in the pandemic as if making money was that easy. Today information is available everywhere and prices are quite reflective of something, especially when they are low. When they are high it's hype. Obvious is the opposite of risks.
