I heard Rachel Catherine phrase it really well. She said something like a book being labeled as a filler book is not an excuse for a missing plot/storyline/bad writing/missing character development etc (whatever was missing in Reckless).
you opinion on reckless is completely valid! i'm sorry you got a lot of hate for it, i did too when i mentioned why i disliked it online :( unfortunately it seems like a lot of book girlies now can't grasp that we all have different opinions of books even if you're very respectfully stating why you disliked it. if everyone had the same opinions on what we read reading wouldn't be as fun! and i agree that there shouldn't be a filler book, it should have just been a duology lol

I don't understand why people get so mad for not liking the same books they do. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Sometimes I'm surprised by people not liking a book I loved, but then I am so curious as to why they didn't like it. I did not love Reckless either after having such high expectations for it bc I loved Powerless. The Powerful novella was better then Reckless but it was still a romance book and so was Reckless like yes where was the fantasy?? I think it could have been another novella and not the whole second book in the series. Or she could have combined Powerful's story with Reckless and that would have been a lot more interesting. And wow that is so freaking awesome that you wrote the Heir of Broken Fate series bc I just saw Emmy Rosam read the second book on her channel and had no idea you wrote them wow!! Also I didn't love The Ballad Of Never After like everyone else did but I LOVED A Curse of True Love it was a 6 star read for me idk if it's just me but Ballad Of Never After felt like filler in the middle of it to me.
