The Vermillions are definitely best royal family. We first meet Fuegoleon and Leopold at the ceremony/reception where Asta and Noelle get mocked by the nobles ( particularly the older siblings from hell, Nebra and Solid, and Nozel doesn’t come off much better). I assumed at first glance that Fuegoleon and Leopold were the same as the other nobles, and the shock that they weren’t made the seem that much more awesome. Even Kirsch has natural leadership abilities and supports his underlings from the beginning… until he finds out one of them is a peasant, of course, but even his prejudice has a different character than the stuck up Silvas; he is simply repulsed by them, he doesn’t get off on putting them down. Plus, he learns his lesson and repents. He’s actually one of the most interesting characters, I think. He may be vain, but he’s not mean.
Pblo ch16 for me it was the horrible pacing and asta screaming 15 minutes an episode as well as inconsistent animation but it has gotten way better since the beginning
I mean... the first chunk of episodes were pretty shit. Flashbacks upon flashbacks, flashbacks of what happened immediately before the commercial break,filler moments with characters literally just looking at each other to fill up time, all the other crap they did to pad out the really well paced story, the ridiculous amount of screaming... There was a lot to hate. I'm happy I stuck it out but it used to take me like 10 minutes to watch an episode after skipping the recap, intro, outro, and abundant flashbacks. Thankfully it's gotten waaaaay better. And reading the manga made me love it, infinitely better than the anime.

Without reading the manga I always suspected that the Golden dawn's captain was Licht. Since he never showed up during that first battle they had in the city.
Acier Silva had Steel Magic not Mercury Magic. She stated that Nozel was the only one of her children to inherit part of her steel affinity while her other children used the same type of magic her husband used which was pure water magic.
