Sergio Torrens thanks sergio!
That snare tho
Loving the snare sound!!! Any samples? Or all natural?! And if so what snare and mic you using?
thank you! all natural. just an sm 57 on the snare
snare is a pearl 8x14 modern utility with pure sound super 30. the other key is a 5mil snare side head.
@@austincox1709 oh alright, bc I saw your Never Lost cover and loved that sound as well, and the mic looked like a beta 52a
@@thebrayns that one was a beta 57a!
Sounds huge my man! Quick question, is that the DW design series kit? I have one and thought it looked familiar
it sure is. love it
What cymbals are you using?
do by chance have a mic under your snare drum or just for the batter head?
nope, just top mic and lots of high end eq.
Hey man question! Do you post your covers on IG?
yeah some! @austincox_music
@@austincox1709 sick! I’ll check it out!
Would you say that your snare mic does a good job at eliminating bleed from the hi hat?
it does okay if you position it. it’s also hard cause the acoustics in my room aren’t the best
@@austincox1709 yeah I figured haha. The reason I ask is bc I got an SM57 for our drummer since the mic we had was dookie, and me being our producer/keys player, I want to implement new things to get the best sound, and it definitely helped alot and got a good sound. But I feel like its super hard to get a loud, phat, punchy, and clear sound without also getting the hi hat bleed into your skull
@@thebrayns yeah, it’s difficult. i’ve found it best at around 45° directly under the hi hat.
