One thing I know cause I was around that dj QUIK is far from a buster ...and he can play basketball too
Quik seems like he's multi talented. Drawing, break dancing etc lol
I noticed the removal of that outro due to the fact that it was played on the radio in the fall of 1996. If I'm not mistaken, that version of Toss It Up was officially released as part of the single. So, it's not as if this was an edit that was done for that Greatest Hits release. There's also a version that does include that outro as well.
Toss it Up initially had the No Diggity beat it was an unfinished track maybe for All Eyez On Me but Dre took the beat with him when he left Death Row so they altered the beat and added the second verse dissing Dre.
@@themadrapper101 No, that's not true.
@@sms130official Listen to the original version of Toss it up is produced by Dr. Dre and is a early version of No Diggity beat
@@sms130official Look it up 2Pac Toss it Up OG Produced by Dr. Dre
@@themadrapper101 That's not true. Even the original version of Toss It Up was basically done on purpose in response to No Diggity. Dr. Dre didn't produced the original version of 2Pac's (Makaveli's) Toss It Up. An original version produced by Dr. Dre don't exist because him & 2Pac never worked on it to begin with. That's been addressed and pretty much confirmed by several people. Production wise and the inclusion of that sample, Toss It Up was in part done out of spite as a diss towards Dr. Dre and Blackstreet over No Diggity.
Another great video bomb 1st family
No disrespect to Reg, but it seems that even as a cop, you were with dumb sh!t, but it's understandable, because the hood can take you under. Ref: ( Comptons Most Wanted) Music to drive by😉

Did you'll ever notice that the beat playing in the background on the intro of "Bomb First" while the reporter is talking is the same beat for "Life of An Outlaw" just pitched up an octave?
Questions for Reg. Was Kelly Jamerson who pulled quiks hair? Is that why he caught the majority of the beat down or was he just wrong place wrong time
Much luv n respect Reggie always keeping it real. 💯
There’s a video of Heron being interviewed by a Fox News reporter and it talks about the incident Jameson family blamed suge for what happened.
Where?
@@samj458 yh ok, under what title?
Heron was talking about he never had a real job until Suge put him on and that he was in and out of jail. He was speaking up for Suge. The dude who got stumped out parents was on the NEWS in the same segment as Heron blaming Suge for the murder. Whole time it was Tree Top Pirus not MOB Pirus
I'm almost the same age as Regg and would love just to sit down for hours and hear these stories.
These interviews are amazing. I am finally finding out why I hated the east coast so much. Turns out it’s all over pu$$ie 😾

I would say "To Live & Die in L.A. is the best single by far Pac is at the apex of his artistry on this song No negative energy just making good music and who could forgot the INFAMOUS ROLL CALL Neckbone Tre Heron Buntry too Big Rock got knocked but this one's for you.

Kurupt is a 60 right? Not sure why they’d have issues with Daz and Kurupt over it anyways, unless they felt that it was supposed to be team Crip but Quik was a label mate not just a Piru.
I agree. I don't believe everything that he says.
@@jseward228 yea this pig talks to much. There is always 3 stories to a story. He pushing tons of stories and they blowing up which I ain’t hating but it’s all for the bag. He probably has mad medical bills that needs to be payed off so what other way to get the bag. He can’t work with his health deteriorating his ass.
#1 Quik wasn’t signed to DR so he’s not a label mate. Suge just managed him and he made beats for DR artist. #2 yes Kurupt is a Rollin 60 Crip! Big U used to manage Kurupt. What Reg mean Rollin 60z was on Kurupt and Daz basically as a “why the fuck y’all hanging with them” and this just happened. Not trying to bang on them
@@thesupervisor3270 He was as close to a label mate as you can be, so as I said a label mate, subsidiary, affiliate, business partner. My whole point is it was business, that’s why Daz and Kurupt were hanging around Quik.
kurupt isn’t a real 60, it’s not like kurupt was ever on the front lines for the 60s. He’s an honorary member at best. But we all know , 60s don’t have a problem with killing their own (nipsey).
Reggie memory good as hell he be remembering whole names
I would like to hear reggie's views and stories on eazy e
But Reggie wasn’t with Death Row till after Eazy passed away right? I dunno maybe my timing is off.
@@DeezWebbos1978 you're right but I'd be curious to know if he knew Eazy back in the day in Compton.
@@rafa7622 oh true. I would too. I’d also wanna ask Reggie if Eazy was alive when Dre left Death Row, would Suge and Reggie have been open to working with Eazy on some songs with Death Row artists. Like Eazy doing a song with Snoop or Pac?
I think I heard on another interview on Reggie Sr knowing E? Not sure tho.

Reggie been having some great interviews lately…
Did Quik squabble up though, Reggie? That's my question.
Pffft.. yea right
He set the entire thing off
I would believe he did …back in the day he did a show in my town and some crips started bullshittin…fight broke out, everybody got down, shots popped off and quiks boys was firing right back…that’s why Quik mentions San Antonio on Just Like Compton
Crips were out numbered that night. Deathrow party. Full of pirus

Great information. Rip Kelly jamerson
I have to admit; I Don't know because OVER 20+ years LATER; I have NEVER heard the greatest hits album. I figured because I had all of Tupac albums, there was no need to buy an album with songs I already had. I got that disappointment when I had bought Eazy-E's Eternal E. I will have to check it out one-day. ©2022
On the Death Row logo it looks like the guy on chair is making a sign with his hands.
What sign is it? I've seen different versions were the hands are doing different signs or in a different position.
Rest easy Pac 🙏🏾, 803
Kurupt from the 60's
Lies
Is there ANYTHING else Reggie can talk about? What else is he doing? Why are these stories relevant to how these bros are living now? Remember, because of THEM is why we even know Reggie...🤦🏾♂️
Sadly no one cares more than likely. People care about his connection to death row and him being a cop running w Shug. Interesting for sure but Reggie as a business man or making positive moves in his life no one cares
I was there the night of the El Rey Theatre incident and the fight or cremation is a better term, was DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF ME. Reggie has some slight details incorrect. His overall story is on the money.
Speak on it Art !
cremation?dead?
Was mc eiht there?
Kurupt from 60s.. This sound dumb af
Cremation? Lol wtf

🤔
Reggie got some good insights on the inner workings
Big ups to you for sticking to your guns and continue hanging w/your homies. Employers can’t do that
I always thought dat "Watch Ya Mouth" was da real version of Toss It Up
Reggie needs a PhD. He's a historian
As a side note I'd love to hear more info from those around about Eazy-E...West coast fans love him...his death coupled with Dre leaving, 2pac dying and Suge going to prison were HUGE factors in the West Coast losing power in the late 90s.
EAZY needs more talk n respect these days I feel.
it was basically the deaths of 2pac and biggie that scared the mainstream off and left a sour taste in peoples mouth when it comes to gangsta rap. they thought it was a friendly rivlary like 2 football teams, but when bodies started dropping they were shocked (even though that's exactly what they were rapping about all the time) and stopped fucking with gangsta rap
@@space_dogg true but New York rappers were also doing gangsta rap. But only the west coast got a bad rap for it. Look at 50 Cent
@@space_dogg eeh NY entered into their 2nd golden age in the late 90s after the deaths of pac and big. Eazy and pac dying a year and some change apart is definitely what put the west on ice in the rap game being that they were 2 of the biggest if not the biggest figures from that scene. Even to this day the west has had their moments but they never caught that same spark again.
@@jackjill8129 i think pac after his death made gangsta rap a worldwide hype slowly but surely, and ca. 2000 there came a big, worldwide gangsta rap fad that the snoops and dre's profited from. eminem blowing up dre had to do with it aswell. but 2000 was the second coming of gangsta rap. the documentary marks the end of thaz era in my opinion
@@space_dogg the Dre first chronic first album made g-rap worldwide from l. A, to Sweden, to France and Japon....
Bomb 1rst ask Reggie
1.) What role MC Hammer played at Deathrow? (Why no music from him?)
2.) Is George "G" Williams really out of jail?
3.) Were there any beefs or confrontation between Right Way security and Death Row security?
Was the song "dollars don't make sense"?
Reginald prolific right now
Reggie you got me on Toss It Up. Never knew the subtle differences
It is literally the radio/video version on the Greatest Hits album.
I notice that Reginald always air when the opposite get whooped up on. But not when they get their serving. Death Row was touchable....

2 live in die in L.A.: I mean I did, but I just thought it was the radio version unedited. lol...
Kurupt is from 60s so that had to put him in an awkward spot.
He left a year later. But did come back years later lol
Stop lying he not from their..wannabe azz nigga
@bomb1st ask Reggie if Dr. Dre is really gay or not. Jewell was supposed to put out a book that talked about it but she was threatened by Dre’s lawyers.
Reggie the story of cle bone getting bombed on Hawaii. Happened in the early 2000s after training day was already out. He got caught in a club bathroom or some shit by some Polynesians and smashed his face. It was talk amongst the bouncers around the island.
PLEASE... SPEAK ON THE DISTRIBUTION OF THE DEATH ROW PENDANTS.
I second that!! I’d love to hear how they came about? Who was the jeweler? How many variations are there? I know there’s ones where only the guy that n the chair has diamonds, then there’s ones where the whole think is diamonds, ones where Death Row Records are only diamonds, ones that are just solid gold no diamonds! What’s up with this Reggie??
Daz is still rocking his OG Death Row pendant, his has only the guy in the chair in diamonds, the Death Row Records is just solid gold!! His is the original!!
were any other off duty cops at the El Rey besides Reggie, specifically off duty LAPD?
I heard Bounty Hunters along with some Mob was whooping that man. I wonder how Keita Roc was still rocking with yall after that incident?
@@reggiewright was he added to smooth thing's out cause I'm sure tension was still somewhat high
I think Reggie wanted to be a gangster. But with pops being a Police Sergeant, it must have been difficult for him to be accepted by the gangsters. The role of Security was a lottery ticket. It also enabled him to participate in fuckery while the badge made him untouchable from the gangsters.

i have a question for reggie, but maybe greg kading could answer it better. frank lyga had a tape come out in 2014, where he said he blackmailed chief parks over the fact that kevin gaines was a "hit" along with other racist things. also, its been stated over 100 LAPD officers did security for death row at one point or another including frank lyga. also its stated that russel poole was friends with lyga and told him not to worry about the shooting. that being said, is it possible that poole covered for lyga and used the theory that kevin gaines was a "blood working for death row" even though that has never even been proven and lyga worked security too and that's why he kept going with the death row / lapd connection to cover his own ass? this is never mentioned by ANYONE that this entire theory started with the gaines shooting, which people were calling for it to be reopened after the 2014 leak of lyga came out.
