isnt a binomial just an expression with exactly 2 TERMS, not necessarily variables? for example, x + 3x is a binomial, but it only has 1 variable. EDIT: x + 3*
Don't know if you still want to know the answer but, as far as I'm corcerned, your definition of binomial is correct. The example you gave though could be simplified to 4x so it'd count as a monomial. An example of a binomial of the same variable could be 2x+2x². Hope it helped :)
