Hi af16! Thank you so very much for watching. I am happy that you found the tutorial helpful. Thank you for taking the time to leave such a lovely comment. All the best to you!🧶🧶🌻
Even if I wasn't a hardcore loomer, I would watch your channel!! I just love you, your energy and your enthusiasm. Great key information about using two stitches to prevent hat brim rolling. I will, indeed, run with it🏃♀️ Thank you for sharing your terrific and fun videos with us. You never disappoint!
I remember those brims always uncovered my ears. lol, Just love your videos just so down to earth and you have such a good sense of humor. And love the hats. Hey, remember back in the day that sweater vest with the square designs in the middle look like potholders. yep, my grandmother made me one. Good seeing you again....
Hey Sandra! I hope all is well with you. Oh my goodness, I do remember those sweater vests!! My mom made me a whole poncho that looked like it was made of potholders.😂. I appreciate you, Sandra.🌸🧶🌸🌸
Hi J B! Thank you so very much for watching and for being on the channel. I am happy that you found the video helpful. Thank you so much for the lovely comment. It means a lot to me. All the best to you!🌻🧶🌻
You are killing it my friend! I just love your zest for life. Even though I don’t knit, I appreciate your support you have been showing my channel and think you are amazing❤️❤️❤️
Omg!! You're hilarious!! Just found your channel and I've gotten into loom knitting. Did anyone ever tell you you look like whitney houston??? You remind me of her. You're beautiful!! Thanks for the tips too.
Hi Kris! Thank you for the beautiful comment. When I was younger, people would ask to take a picture with me because they were going to tell their friends that they met Whitney Houston 🤗. Thank you for being on the channel. I wish you lots of only good things!!🌻🌻🧶🌻🌻
Wambui, I realized I was doing a few things wrong making my hats after watching your videos closer. I am so happy with a hat I just finished. I was using very light yarn that would have been too loosely knitted for a hat so what I did was doubled it. Just like you make a rimmed hat I just knitted twice as long of the hat I wanted and then double it. I am really please the way it turned out. This is getting to be so much fun. Thank you for all your help. Still waiting on how to loom knit a dish cloth......
Hi Janet! I am glad you are having fun and enjoying your loom knitting. Congratulations on making your thicker hat! I just started making a sample dishcloth yesterday. I am having an issue with finding the time to make as many videos as I would like. I am working on solving the time challenge. Enjoy your day.Thank YOU! 👌🌻🌻🧶
Thank you, Renae! Yes, you have suggested a very good way to start a hat so that it does not roll. 🧶🧶🧶🌻🧶🧶🌻 - Thank you for the necklace compliment. $5 jewelry sets: tinyurl.com/ro56fo9
@@WambuiMadeIt Thank you! I found it last night and already made a hat with a knit and purl bottom so it doesn’t roll. I used what I call regular yarn but I’m thinking it would look even better with a bulky yarn. I honestly do not mean to plug myself, but I have an Etsy shop where I sell loom knit hats and scarves.
I LOVE your videos! I ha e. Ever been able to use looms before. You are sp patient and kind. Do you have any videos for using a sock loom? I would be so grateful. If you do, tell me how to find it. If not, would you consider making one? Thank you so much! Have a blessed day!
Thank you sooo much for your beautiful comment. I got slowed down by some medical issues. I have not done socks but have request and plans to do both socks and fingerless gloves. As I start to feel better, I plan to do more videos.
Phillip Curtis Phillip Curtis great request. Off the cuff - you want to used a strong cotton or a durable yarn that is not acrylic. Acrylic melts when heated (ask me how I know this 😅). You would then follow the instructions from the video “how to knit a flat scarf on a round loom”. Of course, instead of knitting a full scarf, you would just size it to the size that you want your potholder to be. I think there may be yarns specifically for potholders. I will let you know. I hope this helps. I will add it the the list of things to make a video about. Enjoy your day!
Whenever I've tried to get begin a starter project I've been disheartened by the way my knitting rolls in on itself and I just end up putting it aside. I was always led to believe that I wasn't being consistent with the tension of my stitches. This video has just given me new hope 🧡
GIRL, you are so beautiful ! I couldn't help but just stare at your beautiful eyes, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who has noticed how beautiful you are......... I know .... im off the subject, lol ! I loomed a hat, but it's rolling up .... I was hoping maybe I could add a crochet at the bottom to keep it from rolling. I'm not sure how to do it or even if it could be done.
Thank you so much!! Switching to crochet will work or for the last few inches of the hat, start adding some purl stitches along with the regular loom knit stitches. Switch it up to perhaps two purls and two knits. Happy New Year!🧶🌻🧶
Hi Judy! First of all, thank you so very much for being on the channel. These hooks are from a company called KB Knittingboard. The hooks are call KB Ergonomic hooks. You can either purchase them at their web site, at Joannes, or from Amazon: amzn.to/36kleok They really do make a difference. All the best to you!🌻🧶🧶
Hi Cory! Thank you for watching. I casted on using the regular loom knit stitch. I started by first wrapping each peg the first time - and then wrapping the same pegs a second time. After I lifted the bottom row over the top, I considered that my first row. I then purled the second row and then alternated after that with a row of loom knit and then purl. For an even ‘cleaner’ look, you can do a chain stitch cast on. The tutorial for that is here: How To Do A Loom Knitting Chain Stitch Cast On ua-cam.com/video/7cgH3Ly0qjI/v-deo.html 🌻🧶🧶
@@WambuiMadeIt thanks so much! So just to clarify, did you use the double e Wrap Stitch all the way around or did you wrap each peg once all the way around and then wrap them a second time and then lift the bottom over the top?
