You know I would love to have something like this for my handicap girlfriend but instead of left hand have it right hand dominant it would be great for accessibility
@@AidenBlack33366 I've never made a right hand version. I could be wrong, but I think it could be as simple as mirroring all the 3D models. If you're interested send me an email and we go over the details. Email address is in the video description
I recently got a Tartarus, I like it but wish it had more thumb buttons.
Space, Ctrl and Alt and a Hypershift key
The button above the dpad/analog stick is great for the space for jumping while moving but I can imagine some games that use Ctrl for crouching or other actions
or even just another set of keys beneath the bottom row so I could pinky Ctrl if it was a toggle thing.
This pad (Tartarus) is frustrating cause it's just on the edge of being perfect for what I want xD I'm curious if you've tried 25 main keys instead of 20 or how you map that nub above the analog stick
Was exploring options to build my own or customize the current one. You Tuffpad's are pretty cool.
@@vatolsk hey! Yeah Tartarus is close to being perfect. It's certainly comfortable. I just wish it had a few more keys and an actual analog stick instead of the dpad.
I tend to bind ancillary actions to the 5 way switch above the stick. Like emotes.

Hey! Currently I have no plans to publicly release the 3D models for this device.
I'm not sure how this popped on my feed. I quit gaming a few years back and never liked the WASD movement, I always used a Saitek Cyborg Command unit for FPS style games, they broke all the time, the joystick always went back. I still have one I got off ebay as a backup, so this is really cool to see
Hah, who knows why YT decided to bring you here. I'm a nobody with a nothing channel who sucks at content creation. Shrug.
This stuff I make is SUPER niche. But there does seem to be a select small group of gamers who prefer mouse look with a thumbstick for movement. I was skeptical it would even feel good. Now I have a hard time going back to a traditional keyboard.
@@tuffrabit 100% i'm one of those people, I loved the thumb stick for sure with a keypad. Sadly I never play anything anymore. I really think it all came from growing up playing console with dual stick and the single stick plus mouse is kind of the best of both worlds. On a wasd format its difficult to get side movement that you can get from a joystick that has 360 degrees of direction vs forward backwards, left/right
The last time I saw the Tuffpad, the feet were raisins.
All these years later though, you're remarkably close to a finished product. Just comes down some ergonomic spit & polish.

Gotta agree, this looks really good. Was excited to see this update after one of the inputs on my Tartarus d-pad ended up breaking again.
Is there any sort of storefront / other avenue of purchase for these pads, or are they not quite up for general acquisition yet?
