blackice214 John Legere is going to be the CEO still in the merged company. Sprints CEO Marcelo Claure is only going to get a seat on the board of directors.
Adam Tajyar Yea I think Marcelo is not going to be on the board he said he's moving on too different ventures , but he still ownes alot of bright star stores
He's charming and smart, a dangerous combo, but is this deal really good for US consumers in the long run? To be determined. Vonnie's questions are on point! Truly excellent journalism!
D Ciii Yes it's good for the United States of America. It's good for consumers as well as it being so much different than any other carrier/business that's out right now. I'm for this merger to come about.
As a previous Sprint Customer i can assure these merger will screw up T-Mobile customers. When i was a sprint customer i had nothing but lies from their employees and most were extremely rude and in one occasion i was told to leave the store and had to call the police on them, as for service their data is horrible i went back to sprint asking for help multiples times and they always gave the same excuse (we are updating our towers) and i told them this is been happening for two years and still no good service ??? That was the reason why i got kick out of one of their stores because new potential customer were walking out the door when they heard about these issues. Their phone reception if you work near a military base is also non existence. that is the reason why i drop SPRINT and move to T-Mobile but if these merger becomes a reality i am dumping T-mobile And i highly suggested you do the same if you are a T-Mobile customer. Why do you thing their commercial on you tube comment are blocked They know thousands of sprint customer will post negative comments because of their poor service and rude employees.
Two of the companies i have completely different opinions of. With Tmobile now and love their customer service and the way they do business. Was with Sprint for a year almost, had to pay to get out of the contract and run from them... The worst customer service I had a displeasure to deal with. I hope they get NOTHING from Sprint besides some technological aspects if useful. In summary, Fuck Sprint!
Then get some more towers in marshfield Fair Grove Missouri. I have to do yoga in just the right spot to get service from Metro. After this I will become shareholder. For now though you still get my vote. Cmon.....
If sprint really does go away after the merger? The new T-Mobile should atleast still keep the sprint logo as a turbocharger. Also since boost also have that logo as well... That let people know that sprint is migrated as part of the new T-Mobile. It's just be fair. Also be cooler like nobody has ever done that with their company's logo except for sprint towards boost logo...
NEITHER company has 40 Billion dollars... The "investment" of $40B, more than half of it comes from the $26B in buying Sprint as it is... leaving next to nothing to invest 5G with. Lets be honest, mMW spectrum will cost a lot to deploy, but if Sprint cant even get 2.5Ghz spectrum done right in the last 10 years they been trying with WiMAX and LTE, then I doubt TMobile will have capability to do it either.
$26.5 Billion !!!!!! THAT kind of Money, would wipe out Hunger & Poverty In this World. Children R Dying for something to EAT!!!! Not Dying for a Phone & Service from T-MOBILE..... The POOR have Helped U become a Billionaire......
Who are these “others” he is talking about. Charter? Comcast? These are the most hated companies in America. The guy is having another go at making this deal happen... because it’s a heck of a deal for shareholders. And in the short term this will move wireless forward in the us. But in the medium to long term, this is straight industry consolidation... how does this create substantive competition? Answer: it doesn’t. 5g has some latency benefit, but it’s a loooong time until we really start seeing it deployed broadly. Remember it’s got to be backwards comparable for “rural areas” and areas where coverage problems exist, and att is already rolling it out this year in 12 cities, so it’s happening already. Do we really need to move to three major carriers just to speed up 5g deployment? No, not really. And if you want to really understand this video, understand this is part of a full court press on regulators to approve the deal, and includes a website called allfor5g.com that the companies are promotion via Google AdWords for all kinds of deal terms (including many of the 5g terms tied to the deal and mentioned in the video). So don’t buy for an instant that what your watching here isn’t a very carefully orchestrated interview pushing forward some very clear marketing points to regulators in an effort to get this deal approved. The substance is less important. I’m all for deals that create better markets, but consumers need choices in wireless and if there is one clear trend in internet and wireless in the is right now, it’s decreasing choices and increasing prices. It’s not time for another major consolidation deal. There hasn’t been a startup in the wireless carrier industry for decades (sure, people who work on the existing networks like cricket, but no new att, Verizon or T-Mobile folks), because it’s almost impossible to start one today. With a clearly anticompetitive market for consumers, the people who stand to benefit from this deal are shareholders, not customers. I am a private citizen, and simply concerned with this deal. Do love the ceo of T-Mobile however, have to say. He’s doing a hell of a job for shareholders.
happyhappyjoyjoy9999 Oh shut the hell up Dude. That's T-Mobile-MetroPCS new website for what will be prepared for the New-Tmobile branding you dumb ass. Yes actually this Merger needs to happen and Yes we do need to move down to 3 Powerful carriers. T-Mobile-MetroPCS will have it's other Sister carrier MetroPCS to help out within the prepaid department. So why cry so much? 3 Is Better than a carrier than is going to shrinkle with customers suffering on a day to day bases.
He looks like he took a few puffs before this interview....... I have t mobile, good to know we have a confident ceo..... not saying were the best but we're trying here
That's a pound of Bologna how can Sprint support 5G when they cantb even bcome up with their basic 4G. What they are doing is trying to out number Verizon
BLKMAGG09 sprint and T-Mobile use different wavelengths on the spectrum, one is cdma and the other is gsm. Think of spectrum as a highway in which each lane is a different wavelength, TV signals, radio, and phone companies all use the spectrum, T-Mobile essentially wants to merge the Tmoblie (gsm) and Sprint (cdma) lanes and create one giant lane that could potentially, re-route different services such as cell phone use, internet, text, etc. They could isolate the items that don’t use much bandwidth and open the bandwidth to the wireless broadband and since that lane is so big they could isolate parts of the wireless broadband to be used for the internet of things- such as self driving cars, smart homes, security channels etc
AT&T and Verizon still are and will continue to be better. Yes there are some instances where T-Mobile might have better speed or coverage. The vast majority of time I find AT&T and Verizon have better signal. Speed is irrelevant if there is no signal you can have a Mercedes-Benz, Lincoln Continental, Jaguar or any other luxury car what good is the car if have 5 flat tires. The point is yes T-Mobile now has more Spectrum but until they can get better coverage and better building penetration. The new T Mobile can work on 5G but it's not like AT&T and Verizon just going sit there and not build 5g service themselves. As with my past experiences and history I'll stick with Verizon or AT&T.
Don't worry... T-Mobile will get there. And by the way, I travel all the time and I can use my phone world wide at not extra charge, ALL UNLIMITED. And where I live I get up to 90 mbps conection, enough to watch 4K movies while working if I want to. So for me, it works better than Verizon which I used to have. With verizon I used to pay $95 a month with 2gb data. T-Mobile I pay less and is UNLIMITED... I got fucked by Verizon for far too long, they never gave me an inch until after a switched to T-Mobile.
Mr. Carroll Ware No Longer Going To Feed The Trolls You’re right about this. I love my Verizon. Verizon Fios already has 5G network. Speed is good but without a signal in case of emergency, what good is it? I’ve had Sprint before and went back to Verizon. I’ve never had T-mobile but have heard of little or no signal. I can’t deal with that.
The reason T Mobile has bad signal is that in the PAST they did not have low frequency spectrum like Verizon and ATT do. They won an auction for LOWER spectrum than even the big two have and therefore better coverage. The phones that can utilize that frequency are not widely available yet IE no IPhone. Once those launch this fall the coverage issue will start to go away
Think simply, Tmobile already is better than At&t in some states. Having a lot larger spectrum(and even more currently existing towers) and given the past, they could have the largest network in a matter of months.
Rather it be this CEO and not sprints
blackice214 John Legere is going to be the CEO still in the merged company. Sprints CEO Marcelo Claure is only going to get a seat on the board of directors.
Adam Tajyar I think you mean mayoshi son , Marcelo is going to Uber
blackice214 just cause hes going to uber doesn't mean that he can't hold a board position also
Adam Tajyar Yea I think Marcelo is not going to be on the board he said he's moving on too different ventures , but he still ownes alot of bright star stores
blackice214 No you are wrong. He owns uber, but he is still going to be on board of directors within the New T-Mobile.
John is really smart. The guy knows his stuff and actually has a strategy.
I’d like to have a few beers with this guy and talk business
OffendedDefender 😆 well drank up 🍺🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻
J Brown I’d ask him how he feels about dumb and dumber aka AT&T and Verizon
I gotta say, I like this guy.
He's charming and smart, a dangerous combo, but is this deal really good for US consumers in the long run? To be determined.

I hope he keep all the brand and give out different plan on each
Give em hell John!
"what a great problem to have"
And here we are in 2019.
Food for thought.... THE NAME SHOULD BE " T-MOBILE SPRINT INTO THE FUTURE "
Then get some more towers in marshfield Fair Grove Missouri. I have to do yoga in just the right spot to get service from Metro. After this I will become shareholder. For now though you still get my vote. Cmon.....
After T-Mobile you'll have a great career as WWE CEO

“Higher prices and crappy service..it’s a great thing”
I been with t mobile for like a year now cool speed. They gotten alot better I was with them 6 years ago bad carrier back then came a long way.

I have no home internet but I use very little data. Since the 7th I have used 0.6 GB since the 7th
I think you need to keep LTE save the 40 billion
$26.5 Billion !!!!!! THAT kind of Money, would wipe out Hunger & Poverty In this World. Children R Dying for something to EAT!!!! Not Dying for a Phone & Service from T-MOBILE..... The POOR have Helped U become a Billionaire......
AT&T customer service sucks n I’ve been with AT&T for 9 yrs now
Go watch his 'Slow Cooker' vids on Facebook on Sundays.
Att and Verizon are fuck! This guy is going to make them crumble
key word _jobs_ is why this gets approved
very smart person
If AT&T n Verizon team up that’s it
Impressive.
Verizon and AT&T are rip offs or bad deals. Love Metro by T-Mobile.

he mentioned that on the interview, he says its great for consumers because it will force them to get 5G.
So much for divest no spectrum 🤪🤪🤪
