Was wondering why I haven't seen a new upload in a few days! You were chillin with grant! 😎 something tells me you knew what was going to Happen already... being the master of mercury and everything....
Cello Coder mercury to Cody is like my son's favorite train toy to him. Cody is like nervously watching while other kids are playing his toy and make sure they don't break it.
Yea that was funny, maybe someday tho... I used to think transparent aluminum was just a funny star trek idea. But now that's a thing. But it'd probably have to be some exotic alloy. (assuming the aluminum is at a normal temperature of course)
You mean 48 comments that wonder what would happen if you put mercury in liquid nitrogen? At least all these kids are interested in science. Its pretty cool if you think about it.
+Andy Jones In this case, it's actually a pretty interesting question. Mercury is the only metal that's a liquid at room temperature, but how low is its melting point, really? I think seeing mercury freeze sounds like an interesting experiment.
Cody why did you look so sad after loosing the sucking contest? If there was one contest your whole life that you should not mind loosing then this has to be it. Love you man and love your channel.
Hi my names ben and I’m depressed, watching your videos keeps me going and gives me something to look forward to at the end of the day,I’m not asking you to but I would enjoy if you made some sort of fun weapon and thanks for making my life a bit happier
Update on Cody for those rewatching. He's currently in Nevada on his own property building a long term chicken hole; first night he was almost ambushed by coyotes.
You should solidify some gas, maybe Xenon since it's freezing point is relatively high, and then energize it to see what happens. Most gasses can light up when energized, but I want to see if they still will in solid form.
Shane Westy there's a german channel kind of dedicated to gallium. I'll suggest it, and tell you, if he does it. Guess there won't happen too much tho, since it's density probably denies a great reaction. Too heavy to actually "overcook"
Love seeing both of y'all making videos together. Also love how Cody has that awkward antisocial mad scientist like socializing skills, I think he's been spending a little too much alone time in his lab with his science experiments he occupies himself way too well 😂 People like him though are probably the smartest people I have ever met though because they spend all there time learning instead of socializing. In return they have terrible social skills but are smart af because they occupy themselves by constantly fulfilling there own curiosity. If you think about it, there is literally not a single thing Cody doesn't know how to do but it all came at a price that ended up being totally worth it.
Hey grant, you have a lot of knowledge about how to survive on your own in creative and scientific ways. You should do a video where you see if you could survive in the woods for a day with all your skills it'd be so cool!
I love watching a multi millionaire UA-camr with Cody. Cody *cough* is better *cough* demonstrates without the flash of UA-cam trendy algorithms and in a more coherent and scientific idea.
Very cool. I used to mess around with mercury in high school. I fun liquid to be sure if done safely. Here is a suggestion for you Grant. Can you reactivate charcoal using your foundry?
normalguy821 well yes... but if you control for temperature volume and a singular molecule type then it would be interesting to see sugar or fiber at .01 ATM or less. I mean that alone would be the same thing as increasing the temperature 100 fold.
normalguy821 Melting (and phase change in general) is a physical reaction, not a chemical reaction. You are not breaking any bonds. The individual molecules stay the same - you're simply increasing the distance between them. Wood, however, is not made of individual molecules. It is a polymer, which means the molecules are bonded to each other. If you add a lot of heat, they won't undergo a physical phase change, they will simply chemically react into a new compound.
so i have a question from one of your prev vids, can you cast something effectively using your solar death beam and thermite??because that would be awesome!
I like Cody's videos, especially his mining/refining videos, watched many of them over the past couple years, and left many comments. I think he replied back once, unlike you, and many other large channels that always took the time to reply back to me. I myself reply to countless people on a daily basis. I removed all my mercury fillings 17 years ago. Mercury has no place in the human body. Every time you chew, small amounts of Mercury vapor is given off from a silver amalgam. Excellent video!
+electronicsNmore Not sure how to take your comment or what exactly you're saying. I see all of your comments and I reply or give you a thumbs up as often as I can.
I had a lot of fun and hope to work with you again soon!
You both keep doing what you do best ;)
Was wondering why I haven't seen a new upload in a few days! You were chillin with grant! 😎 something tells me you knew what was going to Happen already... being the master of mercury and everything....
cody looks like a nurse 😂😂
Cody is my dogs name
Rest in peace man. My childhood wouldve been incomplete without you. You'll always be king on my heart!
How did he die

Cody: "Don't drop the Mercury"
@@FrostMonolith I don’t get it.
As soon as you picked up the glass of mercury Cody just got super nervous lol
Laughed hard two years later
Mr Tyler Ray lol
Awesome test to have Cody involved
Specific Love Creations yo
This was fun to watch happen live, and again now as a video! Surprised you can’t hear me laughing in the background, great job guys!
+How To Make Everything Thats right! Was it that long ago that we filmed it? Wow! Haha
Please could you three collaborate on some project that would be awesome !
how to make everything i am a big fan i have a question will this comment pop up on the side of your computer screen ???
Bradley Irving they did
Do a video in codys mine! Like if you agree

Omfg that's so truuu
Slipping Bug lol
Actually shaggy was a scholar and very wealthy lol.
dkm lmao
Grant is so competitive he wasn't about to lose that contest
It really seemed like they hated each other.
lol how so?
giving that mercury the succ
The Nocturnal Alchemist I like your videos. Just subbed
The Nocturnal Alchemist klo
The King Of Random If you bust a hole into a can of flex seal liquid will it seal itself?
Probably
It would probably explode because the metal is much stronger
No.
A liquid aluminum thermometer..........Even Cody pretended to not hear that.
Yea that was funny, maybe someday tho... I used to think transparent aluminum was just a funny star trek idea. But now that's a thing. But it'd probably have to be some exotic alloy. (assuming the aluminum is at a normal temperature of course)
It's aluminium oxynitride (AlON) and it's ceramic
If you want to measure really high temperatures maybe a solution xD
I finally get to see Cody in HD.
eh seah la lmao
Can you do a video on trying to make liquid helium.
nearly impossible
helium had so low of a boiling point like under -218c so it is nearly impossible!
yeah it's boiling point is 4.222 K or -269 C . It's so near to absolute zero. So it's possible but extremely hard to make liquid He.
its actually pretty easy, you just let it decompress extremely quickly so it cools fast.
Making liquid helium is like trying to boil tungsten, possible but very difficult.
7:51 Real mercury and real inches - just the way he say's that make me smile.
I love how Cody is so professional about everything and grant is just standing there like “what”
Just from comments i can feel the iq difference...

its similar to gallium its not really that intresting
DiE-lan Cody did it in one of his videos
Make paper from actual wood from a tree, and a homemade graphite or lead pencil
"How to make everything" did that, i recommend you check his Videos out :)
RIP my man :c
We are just learning about atmospheric pressure, barometers, and inches of mercury in science right now and you demonstrated those well!
Cody why did you look so sad after loosing the sucking contest? If there was one contest your whole life that you should not mind loosing then this has to be it. Love you man and love your channel.
I am so glad i am watching this with headphones.
Itz_NotMick why
Itz_NotMick okay now I get it
. I regret
When you both collaborate, your episodes are getting so interesting!!! Pls do more videos with Cody’s lab..
I love the interesting way of explaining inches of Mercury. Thank you!
"Y-yeah, don't drop them." - Cody, 2017
Grant, If you froze mercury solid in the presence of a strong neodymium magnet, Would its magnetic properties change from its liquid state?
THANK YOU! I have a test on Gas Laws on Friday and this seriously helped me study!
wahhhh... fusion of tkor and Cody's lab!! wah love it much!!!
Does any one think cody looks like shaggy
Especially in that shirt
Tman Knoll.iknow you noticed that too😃
Uh oh scoob we’re getting chased
It's always guaranteed to be great video when you collaborate with Cody
Grant is awesome and one of my favorites but this time I'm putting by faith in cody
Grant please do more hacks and fun things so that the common people can actually do
you can buy mercury...
Cody looks like shaggy from Scooby Doo
I love these team ups!

I'm so glad Cody's lab got to meet this legend.
Love you Cody. You are amazing!
can you make a glow stick?
You should solidify some gas, maybe Xenon since it's freezing point is relatively high, and then energize it to see what happens. Most gasses can light up when energized, but I want to see if they still will in solid form.
What about co2, oh wait he buys dry ice on the regular.

when are we gonna see the flamethrower in action?
Can you try to make paper

Love the collaboration video!
Wow this is a great video. In fact this is my second favorite video on the channel The King of Random
What happens if you boil gallium!!
BraylonGaming wow amazing

Update: It starts boiling at 2403degrees celsius. Maybe it would react differently than I guessed
Shane Westy it melts
Medical blood pressures worldwide are millimetres of mercury. PSI is only used in the US

I spend my whole days learning and sniffing my sphinky.
Concerned about the potential off gassing of that mercury in the tube.
Grant: *tossing bottle up and down*
"Woo!!"
Cody: *slighty petrified* "Yeah...don't drop it..."
Can you demonstrate magnus effect
Can you?
can you measure inches of mercury using 13 times the water?
Hey grant, you have a lot of knowledge about how to survive on your own in creative and scientific ways. You should do a video where you see if you could survive in the woods for a day with all your skills it'd be so cool!
YAY! Two of my favorite youtubers teamed together and I see them just now?? ^__^
They called it "quick silver" because when miners would blast open mines, they would see the mercury slip away quickly into the ground.
Hey can you try melting stones?
P.s Can you make a video on testing the flame thrower? Still waiting.
Im getting a Shaggy vybe from Cody. I hadnt watched it yet. Ill keep going.

I love this oh and if you can make a video of every thing that can react together....
I have Asked this for so long and Wikipedia didnt really help me.... Thank you so much
please make a nitrogen sprayer..🙏🙏
Take a can of compressed air and flip it upside down and shoot it it should throw out a liquid which is nitrogen
Colinfurze did it already. "DIY X-men Ice Man- Palm Mounted Liquid Nitrogen Blasters"
Hey you guys should do a farnsworth reactor fusor. That would be awesome to see.
Very cool. I used to mess around with mercury in high school. I fun liquid to be sure if done safely.
Here is a suggestion for you Grant. Can you reactivate charcoal using your foundry?
Can you freeze mercury with liquid nitrogen
DEVINPLAYS DEVINPLAYS yes
DEVINPLAYS DEVINPLAYS it also screams when you bend it kinda cool actually
RIP the legend
Could you make a video on combining various types of elements?!
Is that possible to build a air(soft) gun by using gas spring in piston mechanism?
Could you make a sulfur hexafloride infused drink the density should keep it in (that's what she's said) so do it
Calvin Narine Nice Idea!!
Make a giant vacuum chamber and drop a feather to see if it will drop with no air resistants.
It will. I think Cody already did a video like that.
There’s a video already out like that comparing a bowling ball and feathers they both drop the same
Gravity remains constant regardless of air pressure.
patw52pb1 I know I mean air resistants
NASA did a video on that. It was two astronauts on the moon comparing a bowling ball and a feather
Could you use an endothermic reaction to actually freeze liquids or condense gases? And exothermic reactions to melt solids and vaporize liquids?
Yeah! More Cody!! :)
My science teacher said that theoretically anything can melt at a certain temperature so can you make liquid wood?
normalguy821 well yes... but if you control for temperature volume and a singular molecule type then it would be interesting to see sugar or fiber at .01 ATM or less.
I mean that alone would be the same thing as increasing the temperature 100 fold.

that’s going to burn, and turn into something else that will melt, or explode into gas
What will happen if you put a firework under oblek?
CAN YOU PLEASE DO A VIDEO ABOUT LIQUIFIED SAND (The thing with air) !
so i have a question from one of your prev vids, can you cast something effectively using your solar death beam and thermite??because that would be awesome!
He will be missed. R.I.P
What about flame thrower?
Ronil thats what im waiting on
He already made one
Astro the Saiyan no. He said he'll be making a video to demo the power of the flame thrower.
YEAH GRANT WHAT ABOUT THAT FLAMETHROWER?!?!?!
you gyzz are really awesome..
Can you use an old microwave to do fun things with the bovine, like the Jacobs ladder and the Litchenberg figures in the wood
Can you still make that napalm bomb?
Yes
Try making a mercury thermometer
Cool collaboration
Never thought I'd see the day when someone would tease Cody for being "too professional!"
Can you make your own paper? 🤔👑
Declan Kelly yeah my mom made paper from scratch in elementary
AlecksDoesStuff really? That’s pretty cool

No, not you Grant, you're great, I was talking about Cody. :-)
The King of Random can you make something new in your next video instead of an expirement
+electronicsNmore oh got it. I see what you did now
The King of Random can your next video be something you could make at home that is not an expirement
Interested if you and Cody could test stability and or energy of nitroglycerin in a vacuumed container
Cody's channel is so much better
Can you make a solid brick of mercy
yes, at low enough temperatures where mercury will be a solid
But is it like ice and melt back into a liquid
thats how conditions of aggregation work, yes ... (unless you'll keep it below melting point ;D )
That sounds dramatic
Mercy is more of a concept than an actual physical object
3 pounds, the purest I've got. -Cody
Love ur vids
Grant , I love your videos and want to see you make
something cooler like maybe a thermometer 😃😜
