Nothing short of disturbing the peace! I hate that shit.
What a great message. I'm hoping the silver lining to all this is that people wake up to the empty promises of religion and dogma.
This is such an optimistic and yet unrealistic view. It's not the first nor it will be the last time when this mental disease (religion) prevails, against growing up and stop believing in fairy tales
It won't work, sorry to say this but it just does not work.
At the start when the virus was only in Wuhan many Muslims could confidently say without a doubt it was a curse for the Chinese.
As the Kabah got closed their opinion changed.
Seeing it happen to other Muslim countries made the whole story changed.
A very small number will. The rest will keep clinging to their delusions.
But isn't the atheist worldview an empty worldview which contradicts itself
@@troig43 Because the definition of atheism is a rejection that there is a God. So unless you have the christian worldview you cannot account for things such as morality
And the depressing thing about this is the fact that after this is over everybody will just forget about all the incompetence of religion
tbf everyone will forget once its over
Yeah I expect to hear something like this:
"Well all those parishes that got infected weren't part of MY denomination, that's why they got sick. They didn't truly understand God!"
@Michael Oh yeah I read that one too. Scary, given that grandparents are in the demographic that is most at risk.
I couldn't tell you how many times this channel has helped me to calmly, kindly, and articulately explain to family members and acquaintances how they're wrong.
Thanks for this. I really hope one positive that might come from this pandemic is a new spotlight on religion, pseudoscience and even far right "post-truth" politics. The damage being done by all three is incalculable.
Let's not forget about the far lefts' bullshit like fat acceptance, and defending China.
concerning alternative medicine and anti vaxx, left people are in lead - but i agree that all the conspiracy bs seems to be right wing.
Would be nice, but it likely won't. Or people just won't care. There may be some outrage for a blip of time before people sink back into complacency and let tyrannical religion maintain control
You hateful bigots blame religion for the flaws of hierarchy.
This should be played every 30 minutes on every channel and radio station worldwide.
Every time I start to have faith in people, I remember not to underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.

I love this video. Then again, most of your videos are excellent. Keep it up!
Beit Shemesh is a small thing here in Israel. The ultra orthodox city of Bney Brak is basically under a military quarantine because of a group that's not only refusing to stop even the smallest religious activity but also actually attack medical staff arriving to the area to perform covid-19 tests!
It's a small group but because the city is so packed with large families in very small homes, this small group has a huge and terrible impact
"The pope, the world's most useless geriatric billionaire"
That ought to become the new standard dictionary definition.
To be honest, among all the expected mumbo jumbo about God, Pope Francis is one of the few religious leaders to say once in a while "respect the restrictions and pray at home instead of in the churches". Then his bishops retract it five minutes later, but power infight in the catholic hierarchy is old as dirt so it's unclear how much is just tactic and how much is contrasting opinions.
Fantastic video! Great combination of facts and humour!
This guys videos should air everyday on news channels right after every official covid19 briefing.
The mormons never come to my house, maybe it's my doormat that says, "come back with a warrant."
I would love to have a doormat like that but I have a feeling they would do that to spite me.

New to your channel. Well said brother
Well said! We living in a dark time at the moment, but the sun will rise again. I shudder to think what damage will be done by the religious in the coming weeks. I can hope only at least one person sees this video and wakes up. Stay safe everyone.

Greetings from Central Europe. You are the orally right. In my little country people voted for fascists, so now they are in the government. Fortunately not in charge of managing the country, but still have strong influence on people (a lot of young people as well). One of their leading politiacian reacted on church being closed: "we should have masses, just do it more often with less people present. These are times to strengthen not just our scientific real bodies, but our spirits as well, so I call upon our bishops: This is the time to let the Holy Virgin Mary embrace a whole our country."....... I mean, this is really sick!!! (I am sorry for my imperfect English)
Watching your channel for some time already. I like your videos. Good luck and hopefully you will be able to help some blind people. (you helped me, partially, too)
Where do you live? I guess Hungary? I live in central Europe too (the Czech republic) and I gotta say, we lucked on this one. We started to have lockdown quite early, where you are only allowed to got to work, to shop groceries, going to the doctor, etc., as well as closing schools and non essential stores and services (tough most of the bigger store still function through e-shops). Wearing face masks (or other type of covering your mouthg and nose like scarf or bandana, tough face masks are preferable) outside of your house is MANDATORY for everyone. (And yes, I know face masks don´t protect you, but protects others if you have the virus and are asymptotic at the moment, and if all people are wearing them, it really helps to slow the spread.).
And you know what? It bloody works! We ARE flattening the curve. For more than week only 4,5-5% of all tested (little over 74 000 people at the moment from 10 million population) are positive for coronavirus. And that nuber doesn´t go up.

Adding to that, most important is the fact that noticeably none of these religious groups or individuals are being called into action against the virus....I think that's huge
I once called the roman cathlic relgion my salvation, till 13 when I was kicked out for being a trouble maker. in the many moons that have passed in the t time, I have found more answers in Science and History then in all the religion books I have read. None have given me insight to finding the answer in the many problems I have faces, or in the many tasks I was assigned to complete for the bigger project. I have come to the general belief that religion, not matter what one it is, a crutch for those who can not handle Science! When the world goes into a conundrum as we have now, running to the "good books" will fail once again. Peace
Great job! I worried when you released this as I was editing a video on the same subject. Was afraid mine would look amateur by comparison. While I lack your production skills, we use the same ideas and come to the same conclusion, but I take a softer approach. I we compliment each other rather than compete.

As usual God is a no show. God is either self quarantined inside the Bible or he’s social distancing himself from all mere earthlings! It’s been well over 2,000 years, I can’t wait any longer for him to return, even though I don’t believe he ever existed!🤦♀️
What did you expect from a 2,000 years old apocalyptic cult exactly? 🤔
The only surprising thing here is that Christianity managed to maintain the illusion that it was a legit religion for so long. I guess that's one thing it has in common with Islam.

The very concept of a 'spiritual advisor' for the government of the most powerful country in the world seems extremely odd to. And a bit frightening. Or very frightening actually.

Yes Mike Pence's solution to stopping the coronavirus pandemic is to pray to the invisible sky wizard. He'll use his magic wand to just wave it away and the virus will just disappear. Next he'll be telling us to sacrifice our best goats and sheeps.
They forget that the virus is indiscriminate. It is our duty to remind them.
Here in France, the contamination literally started with an evangelical rally. 🤦♂️
If only these fuckers remembered to cough in their elbows and wash their hands... Oh wait, Jesus was against hand washing, wasn't he?
I don't understand why people who claim to be religious would even feel grief when someone dies, because if you truly believed that death was just a gateway to heaven there would be no tragedy, just a temporary separation. So why the tears? The reason is that deep in their hearts they know that there is no heaven and that they are never going to see that person again.
When scientists find a cure, religion will credit it to their god.

Iran is not Islamic, they have 12 deities beside Allah, Muslims don't believe in that.

Anyone who goes to a church during a pandemic and contracts the virus should be denied ventilators and instructed to pray for a recovery as an example.
