History in Pi Minutes is a series where I look at some popular topics in Disney or Theme Park History and cover them in a bite size format.

Halloween Horror Nights is considered to be perhaps the greatest and most elaborate theme park holiday celebration in the world. In 2017 a bunch of foam jack o lanterns were carved. In 2021 they were reused for the entrance to an original Haunted House called Wicked Growth about the evil Pumpkin Lord who gains power from people celebrating Halloween
What started as just a simple tweet became a sensation. Lil’ Boo took the internet by storm with theme park fans embracing the anxious looking little pumpkin! Universal even had to move Lil’ Boo further out of reach to make sure he wouldn’t be injured by fans trying to get close for a photo or anything.
Universal noticed the popularity and made sure to put Lil’ Boo front and center right at the entrance to Universal Studios for 2022.
Back in 2017, Emory Alvarado was an artist working for Universal carving foam pumpkins while watching scary movies. In 2021, Emory was working as a freelance artist and saw her artwork become famous!
She has since began expanding on it’s lore.
We now have two versions of this character that are both developing over time and becoming more and more beloved. With Universal’s serving as a symbol for Halloween Horror Nights and Emory’s going on chilling adventures.
Lil’ Boo and Li’l Boo
Beyond Easter Eggs, it's time for some sort of system to exist to properly give recognition to the artisans creating these amazing experiences. And the response to Lil Boo and Emory Alvarado is a great step in the right direction.

No matter where the apostrophe is they're still adorable!
It's interesting what you said about credits because I went to an immersive experience called 'Wake The Tiger' a few weeks ago, and at the end before exiting was a wall with the names of the entire design team! Was a really cool way to integrate credits into a physical environment and honour the artists who had brought it to life

@mini_mew775 if they do it similar to last year, he should be visible to day guests too even if you don't have a HHN ticket. Which is good for me because I startle WAY too easily for that event haha
