    Great review, I had a pair of saloman X ultras that lasted years, the uppers were fine with no sign of much wear, no breaks or breaches in the goretex. Had to ditch them only because the soles were wearing down and wouldn't grip anymore

    Hello trekitt team,
    thank you for your videos which are always well done and informative!
    Could it be that you changed your audio setup? To me the sound of the last four sounds quieter and more subdued. The last video with clearer audio (for me) was the video on the Beta LT a month ago (did not change my setup).
    Nice greetings from Germany and stay healthy ✌

      Good morrow Bogomier, we have been experimenting with some new lavalier microphones and sorry that the sound has been disrupted. Thanks for watching. Paul.

    Hey guys. Thanks for your videos. They are very useful! Usually you do a "hem-lift check", but just forgot it this time i guess. Do you know how much travel there is on this jacket when reaching overhead? Thanks:)

      I'm afraid I don't and we no longer stock the men's jacket so I can't check. Sorry.

    hi great vid, was wondering about the windproofness of the jacket as im considering one as a pack filler for when required and as an evening camp jacket

    • @trekitt
      @trekitt  2 роки тому +1

      The fabric itself is very wind resistant, but the stitching will allow a little air through. The V Series would be more suitable thanks to its windproof lining: www.trekitt.co.uk/clothing/jackets/haglofs-mens-v-series-mimic-hood-true-black__40204?currency=GBP&chosenAttribute=604796-2C5-M

    Hi,
    i need winter jacket for walking in temperature from 0°C to - 5 °C with layering system under it. LIM mimic hood is warm enough in this temperature range or better will be haglofs spire mimic jacket or haglofs sarna mimic. Im really confused. Thank you for response and have a nice day. Suzie

      Personally I would be happiest in this jacket between those temperatures whilst walking. This does depend on how fast you're walking, the elevation of your route and how warm you are as a person generally though, but this will be in the right ballpark.

    Hello Trekitt team, in terms of warmth is enough for an hiking session at 5°?

    • @trekitt
      @trekitt  2 роки тому

      It depends how fast you're moving, the altitude, which layers you're wearing underneath, how warm you are as a person, etc. For me it would be more than warm enough, even when stood still, but everyone is different. Harry

    What would the equivalent in down fill be 700 ? 800 ?

    • @trekitt
      @trekitt  2 роки тому +1

      I couldn't say for sure, but I'd estimate between 600 and 700. Harry

    Hi. How does this jacket compare to the Patagonia Nano Puff jacket in terms of warmth and weather resistance?

    • @trekitt
      @trekitt  3 роки тому

      Hi, I've never used a Nano Puff jacket, but judging by the specs I'd say that the Haglofs produces about the sae amount of warmth, but that warmth is generated far more quickly and is more evenly distributed throughout the jacket (no cold spots). The insulation in the Mimic is about as good as you can get for synthetics nowadays! Thanks for watching. Paul.

      Haven't tried the nano puff but I bought a Haglofs v series mimic in preference to the Macropuff. The haglofs fit me better, was a bit warmer, blocked wind better and was lighter. My friend had the Macropuff and he agrees the Haglofs is better. I liked the design of the Patagonia but ultimately it was more expensive for less. Haglofs makes a bunch of down and down alternative jackets with the Lim being the lightest, or so I think the v series is also ultra lightweight. They're all pretty good, surprisingly warm for such a thin jacket.

    Does this compare til the atom lt?

    • @trekitt
      @trekitt  2 роки тому

      Yup. Atom is more weather-resistant and L.I.M is more breathable, though. Harry
