I respect you opinion, but as someone who doesn’t have a proper Kafka DoT Team or a built break team, it was a nightmare because they made it so DoT reliant. For the second half I had to run Black Swan with Acheron and my Black Swan was at level 50 unbuilt because I never used her nor die I farm relics for her. I had to level her up just for this and give her random pieces to make it work. For the first half I had to run sustainless DHIL to barely get 60k for three stars. I do think the PF is reliant on DoT very much, even too much. My sustainless DHIL got 20k and Black Swan Acheron 40k. And no I do not have particular Eidolons for Black Swan, Acheron nor do I have Eidolons on my supports except if they are 4 stars.
I do agree that the HP inflation is annoying, the only thing I meant to say is that this PF is buffing DoT too much that even a Sampo alone is better than a DHIL team because the action advance is just that strong for DoT.
I know it’s a joke by now but I have a fully built mid yuan and a fully built sparkle and it just doesn’t do any damage. Idk if I’m missing something?? I don’t really want to pull for Sunday just for my yuan to do anything that’s just dumb. I shouldn’t have to pull for a character to make an already 5* character good. I just looked at my yuan with all the sparkle buffs and other teammates and it’s up to 350% crit damage. The lightning lord hits for 100-120k fully stacked… at 10… like I just don’t understand? How tf am I supposed to deal with the insane hp scaling if my fully built characters. Can’t even come clear to clear like anything? I just don’t get it. if you want to have an easier time, you should consider pulling meta units. My Jingyuan is actually stronger than Acheron bc I have his best supports (while I don’t have jiaoqiu) and have decent speed on Tingyun (173 on sacerdos), doing about 250k single target or 500kish aoe with lightning lord. 150k on ult is pretty ok in my opinion for a 1.0 unit, (edit) but i have to preface by saying this is with E2S1 Robin (she is pretty much necessary for him) Acheron has higher damage per screenshot numbers (500-800k) but her teammates don’t do any damage in my case If you want to continue playing Jingyuan I highly recommend to have Huohuo or Aventurine and at least an E1 Robin as she’s universal pretty much everywhere Also make have you farmed the duke set and banana planar? the new summon set and the sacerdos support set is hugely important for his damage I don’t fault you for wanting to give up on Jingyuan but as a f2p I’ve been able to clear most moc 12 with him in 1-3 cycles so I’m fully invested in pulling Sunday and his signature
I also hate this pure fiction but overall I don’t mind the hp inflation at the moment. With that said, I do like your suggestions to increase difficulty they sound much more fun and interesting. I’ve played other turn based games where just a speed increase to the enemy gave much more difficulty than a hp increase and would love to see stuff like this in star rail.
I believe you are smart, so I would think that you thought of this as well: Adding gimmicks to enemies is a good idea. But just like characters, the value of an enemy's gimmick is tied to its ability to stay on the field. So what if an enemy has a billion gimmicks, if it gets defeated or broken very quickly, those billion gimmicks don't matter. The reason why AS feels fun for the boss fights is because you can't reasonably defeat the boss directly, meaning you are forced to play into their gimmicks. You realise that taking into account the damage reduc, the boss in AS has much, much higher HP than any enemy has ever had. It is only because of that would their gimmicks be shown to full potential. So yes, HP inflation exists, but it is not necessarily a problem, especially given that your solution to said problem is not an actual solution in practise.
@@YuriAstika I feel it would be fun if the fights weren't turn restricted when adding gimmicks. Gimmicks without a timer will be much more memorable and fun to tackle compared to running on a clock. AS does not feel fun if you do not have a top tier 2.x DPS and support unit and are on the clock. Also, as a Feixiao enthusiast (E0S1), she's been ignoring all the buffs/debuffs in AS so far which is hilarious but also boring. I compared HSR with FGO because gimmicks in FGO CQs and certain boss fights are fun to tackle because I'm not restricted by a timer. Yes, people who spend and buff their characters (more eidolons/noble phantasms) will be able to easily clear it and ignore the buffs/debuffs but adding gimmicks and removing HP inflation gives people who want to play with their favourites a chance to come up with a strat that includes their favs. That's just me though. I totally understand your PoV but for me, I don't find HP inflation to be the solution and would like an alternative solution to adding difficulty which I feel could be adding unique gimmicks like reduced resistance when toughness bars are up but when enemies are in broken state, their resistance increases. Something like that, without a turn timer
@shivendoesstuff I understand your point. (Also, before I continue, just to be clear, I have not played FGO at all, so I don't completely understand the comparison, sorry.) When it comes to combat without a timer or turn limit, the game turns from a strategy filled playstyle to a "who can survive the longest" playstyle. In other words, because you don't need to defeat the enemy in a specfic number of turns, there is no necessary value to getting damage dealers because as long you survive, you will defeat the boss eventually. So without a timer, the most optimal playstyle for a player is to just put 2 Preservation and 2 Abundance units in the team and let it run full Auto. As you can tell, that makes any sort of gimmicks what so ever even less memorable. And if you suggest to either ban survivability units, given the structure of HSR where you will take damage, that in of itself is a timer. Take (the pre Divergent Universe) Simulated Universe for example. Those fights do not have time limits and bosses are given more gimmicks to their kit. However, the gameplay doesn't become any more or less fun and/or memorable. And in actuality, those battles do have inbuilt time limits because the enemies just deal more damage as more turns go by, meaning you have to defeat it early anyways. The reason why having time limit is fun is because it makes it so that you have to be able to balance your damage ability while simultaneously ensure survivability. That's why it's fun, but that in of itself has its own issues as we all know. In all honesty, the HP inflation makes the game actually fun, because it takes longer to kill, and so it becomes an actual challenge. And if you don't recall, back when MoC 12 was added in 1.6, it was an actual challenge, because not only did the HP and DEF of the enemies drastically increase, their ATK does as well. The turn limit didn't change, meaning it was an actually difficult time back then, and I don't know about you, but to me, it was a fun challenge.
"Adds billion gimmicks to an enemy, gets defeated in 0 cycle." "Immortal Comp problem." I can attest that FGO has also faced this problem, and they've addressed these problems multiple times already without or barely relying on giving the enemies a billion HP. So how does FGO prevent player from cheesing a node just by killing the enemy in 1 turn/cycle? They've added break bars, doesn't HSR have this tech already since 1.0? Why they doesn't implement this in much more creative way? Now going into the 2nd problem you mentioned, cheesing the gimmick by bringing tank and healer comp. Well, well, well, what do we have here, FGO has this thing that ignores defense buffs, applying healing cut, buff removals or block, Max HP reduction, etc. All this can be proc in many ways, by activating a break bar, turn/cycle based, number of action used, etc. There's literally many ways to implement a gimmick in a turn based game. I don't know why HP inflation is considered as an "increase in difficulty". While it kinda does, it should be just an artificial effect. You're worried that your units will clear everything in 0 cycle. While we're here bored to death by taking few extra cycles just to defeat enemies because devs can't think of anything to increase the difficulty of their game other than increase the HP.

Firefly makes the game pretty easy with her continuous breaks. Ruan Mei isn't necessary to Firefly teams like Harmony Trailblazer is. However, I'm hearing Harmony Trailblazer can be replaced with Fugue too. The endgame is very rough here. I chose Feixiao's LC over Lingsha and suffered the consequences because of how important they're making Lingsha for PF which I hate (My Feixiao deals a massive amount of dmg though and helped me clear MoC so perfectly balanced I guess?) If you're a light spender, you could try to get Fugue so you'll be future proof for Firefly teams and try to get Ruan Mei in a future re-run but if you're F2P like me, I'd definitely recommend pulling for Sunday and pairing him up with future DPS units who would probably revolve around the summon system. I have to say I respect your opinion but I totally disagree. Most of the buffs in pf as or moc work for multiple characters. This dot pf is just an exception and was always hard without dot chars. You said you have kafka and bs so at this point I think it is a skill issue(even tho this game has 0 skill needed basically) or build issues, 1 of 2. There are many that cleared it with e0s0 non dot characters. The powercreep in this game I feel is not that crazy. Yes they just increase hp of enemies which is sad and not that creative but apart from that the chars can keep up. Of course older chars from 10 patches ago need more investment to keep up but it was always like that. Overall the endgame is very easy in this game, basically free jades in my opinion(especially pure fiction).
@@KirigayaHayato not really an exception since I mention I had this problem in the last PF too because it was catered to Lingsha. I can easily clear 2nd half with my Acheron DoT team with an average score of 33-35k (so definitely not a skill issue. Also, I'm pure F2P and a casual so I don't stress over min-maxing relics although I do go for the closest to best pieces). The main issue which annoys me arises in the first half with the match up being Fire and Imaginary. Firefly without eidolons cannot keep up because she does not get enough turns before her enhanced state ends. I have Himeko who can carry me hard but it isn't enough because Himeko's Fua only happens on break, something Lingsha doesn't care about. Powercreep is inevitable in every gacha game. You're fooling yourself if you believe there's no powercreep. However, as I mention, other games utilise gimmicks rather than having a flat HP increase. It's only a Hoyoverse problem which is very, very annoying. The endgame is definitely not easy (nor should it be), but when majority of the players are cursing at every refresh instead of enjoying, then I feel there is something massively wrong with the system. Just imagine when summons become a thing and every new DPS deals massive dmg alongside their summons dealing massive dmg, meanwhile your Acheron wouldn't be able to get 50% of HP down on the new enemy. If the trend of power growth grows, I fear this day won't be far. I just want them to create modes that are fun to think over. As I mention, having modes where surviving is the key so you stall. Or modes where only DoT hurts enemies or only FuA will hurt enemies. I feel that would be much better than HP inflation and stupid buffs (half of the buffs have never been useful to anyone besides Firefly or FuA)
@@DarkAsDeath the irony of English language 😂 Honestly I don't mind people calling it that although it does sound annoying.
@@shivendoesstuff this guy is claiming it’s a “skill issue” in a game with almost no skill whatsoever
@@DarkAsDeath the irony of English language 😂
Honestly I don't mind people calling it that although it does sound annoying. I feel the major problem is the RNG in turn based games which can be much more harmful unlike WuWa or Genshin where you actually control the character and rotations (which actually require skill).
You are saying this game have such a term skill issue LMAO all of this game mechanics are based on RNG dunce
