Going postal refers to carriers and the workers of the mailroom. Not postal employees in general. My mom worked in workman's comp for the usps for 42 years. If she goes crazy, who could blame her. I'm her son. She had one boss that almost drove her to suicide or going postal. It was a black woman that seemed to always have to ask how to do certain things she should know being in her position. Get this, she was a convicted felon, no experience, no education to qualify. She just happened to be a relative of Obama. About 2013, Post Master General of the country became her only boss. She was never in management but when the usps finally broke out of the red for a few years before dropping, it was actually my mom that found thousands of people on workman's comp that were deceased and family were cashing the checks. If anyone had a right to go postal, she did.

I was going to check on how my vote was tallied but will not put person information online. By federal law interfering with the post is a felony. If you get mail that's not addressed to you you don't open it, you don't call them, you don't call the sender, you don't throw it out. You give it back to the post office (by the mail delivery person is fine) and tell them it was delivered to you in error. ANYTHING other than giving it back to the post office is technically "tampering with the US mail" and they take that very seriously.

I find it strange that he made arrangements to deliver it to the board of elections, then called USPS, only to tell them he made those arrangements, then delivered it to USPS.
Don't find that strange at all. He was alerting them that a rather alarming mistake had been made. Clearly the employees came and got in his face because a postal supervisor had already read them the riot act. And rightly so.

I work for the Post Office for a couple months and a guy came in during election time I was told and dropped off hundreds of thousands of ballots.

Most everyone has a cell phone he will video record the pickup and not when this"postal worker" who was in a unmarked suv and maybe I don't know if he had a badge on postal worker came initially to get it.

By federal law interfering with the post is a felony. If you get mail that's not addressed to you you don't open it, you don't call them, you don't call the sender, you don't throw it out. You give it back to the post office (by the mail delivery person is fine) and tell them it was delivered to you in error. ANYTHING other than giving it back to the post office is technically "tampering with the US mail" and they take that very seriously.
We get mail for our next door neighbor from time to time. I just go over there and give it to her.
@@jill7111That's fine, to hand it to them. What's not fine (but lots of people do) Is to put it in their mailbox. By law only the resident and an official Post Office employee during the course of their normal duties may put things in or take them out of a person's mailbox.

I've receive mail for other people every now and then but I don't make it a federal crime. All I do is just drop it in the mail drop box next to my house and that's all. NO BIG DEAL. This guy is just looking for attention.
Of course that's the right and easy thing to do--in most cases--but this is a damaged envelope with a mail-in ballot, during a time when faith in election integrity is at an all-time low... and for good reason. It's just too bad nothing came of it, i.e., postal service off the hook with a generic statement and back to business as usual.
