The concept behind that question goes waaay deeper than just the process of learning an instrument. That's more about a state of being, and it's something everyone is always working on.
first, i usually fight that feeling and just learn everyday. you won't realize that you're already good at that instrument. this doesn't only work for instruments, i did it for a game and it works too. second, no one is perfect, there will always be someone better than you. you just have to take it as a motivation

In terms of gaming, have you ever thought of setting a timer for how long you play, I know it sounds weird but it actually works you can limit your time if you want. Also wouldn't it be cool if you actually got to meet Sadie Sink, like what if she found your never ending story drum cover and was like hey I want to meet this girl.
