It's totally bogus. I know Burma and all of a sudden, this guy came out from nowhere promising he would bring UN soldiers to Burma under Responsibility 2 Protect. Meanwhile I would like to take an exception to refute many things that Ms. Christine Schraner Burgener said. Many educated Burmese politicians knew Burmese protesters will not take up arms and the military definitely doesn't expect the armed resistance from the demonstrators. Only the ethnic minority rebels in coalescing with Dr. Sasa are planning to take this opportunity to ambush the army. I am not a supporter of the army and I left the country to the West many decades ago because I did not like the military dictatorship. What happened this time is totally different from previous troubles. The reigning political party, National League for Democracy, became dictatorial and suppressed the freedom of the people since they came to power in 2016. The people have supported the NLD before in order to show their displeasure against the army. Since the NLD has gained the power the people became disappointed with the party. The whole country and also NLD knows that. So the are afraid they won’t be able to form a government after 2020 elections and they systematically stole millions of votes in the November election. All political parties except NLD asked the army for help and the army investigated the voting. The army found that 140 million votes were printed but only about 120 million votes are to be used in the elections. The Election Commission distributed 8,000 votes to a voting station with about 1,000 voters. Thousands of triple and double voters were found and many dead people had also voted. Some Burmese who came back from their works in neighboring countries like Thailand found their votes being already cast and they were not allowed to vote. In one village more than 200 voters were over 100 years old. Thousands of people have the same fathers or mothers and from an address where there is no house and nothing, 60 people came out to vote. In many places hundreds or thousands more votes were cast than there were people. The number of suspected votes are more than 10 million. Unlike the voting irrigularities complained by former President Trump, the army and politicals parties have hard proof of voting theft. When the army asked the Election Commission appointed by President Win Myint of the NLD party, it refused to explain. Win Myint did not allow the remaining term of the existing parliament to convene for three months and unilaterally called the new parliament. So the army stopped the new parliament and arrested Win Myint and NLD Party head Aung San Suu Kyi. There may be thousands of demonstrators, mostly young people who are angry that they were restricted to come out due to Covid 19 for nearly a year, there are also millions upon millions of people who want to straighten out the theft of votes. The young or unemployed people who support or are recruited by NLD daily threaten or harass others who deny to come out to protest. They try to shame or attack who go to work. People like Ms. Schrane Burgener are biased in favor of NLD without learning the true nature of the trouble. The army has denied ever giving the police order to shoot at the protesters with live ammunition. In one occasion they exhumed the body of a young girl to investigate the bullet and declared that the bullet did come from the police. Also in the very first fatal shooting the army said the bullet seemed to come from other source than the police. Those who speak Burmese can clearly understand how the demonstrators cursed police, threw stones and ginglees, sharpened iron spokes. In some instances, police were so overwhelmed by the stones and various objects that they shot back with rubber bullets. In many occasions, they used tear gas, stun grenades, flash bangs and water cannons.
