EP 7 Kokernag, Daksum, Sinthan Top, Achabal | Offbeat Kashmir, Season -2

- We started this Offbeat kashmir tour in the last week of June-23, journey was started from Gulmarg ,then we proceeded towards Gurez valley and then reached Kokernag and Sinthan top.
If you want to plan this journey you can club it with your Pahalgam tour, but for this you need to start your day early from Srinagar and you may have to extend the tour by one day.
This Video was shot on 30th June 2023.
Below are the activities / key destinations we visited during the road journey from Kokernag to Achabal.
We started our day from Kokernag, our stay was at Kokernag JKTDC Cottage, location of the cottage was within the Garden.
Kokernag Spring - Entry fee Rs 24, Timing 8am to 5 pm, There are different channels from the Spring water flowing in the garden that makes it so beautiful, staying here at Kokernag would be best option.
Room rent was Rs 2700 for 2 cottages which was very reasonable, though the upkeep of this place was not upto the mark.
Daksum - Then proceeded towards Daksum which is small town, while traveling we noticed the Brengi river was flowing on the side of the road, we stop by Daksum spring, view was magnificent, this was about 30 km before sinthan top. If one wants to see the source of this spring can trek, would require 1 day to reach there with the help of local person, since we had limited time, we had maggie from the local shop near the spring.
Sinthan Top - Our travel date was 30th june, we never expected that we will get snow that 3 to 4 feet, It is about 130 km from Srinagar, when we reached there the weather was chilly & foggy, we barely see the view, still we enjoyed a lot. Sinthan Top is located at 12500 ft.
Achabal - It is located in anantnag district of kashmir, There is also a spring, water is flowing through 3 channels surrounded by a garden built by noor jahan.
After that we proceeded to Srinagar ended our day.
This was last episode of Kashmir season 2 series on Visa2explore. Next day we recorded our day from Srinagar to Delhi, which will come on our another channel “Harish Bali Travels” next series will be coming on Ladakh.

I totally agree what U said about that #India is so very beautiful that if it were a clean land then there will be no need of visiting abroad n our tourist influx will increase massively. Kashmir season 2 is far better series than season 1 in my opinion. The places covered are more beautiful and pristine. Many off beat places are covered in this series which are less known to the tourists. Overall this series is very much enjoyable indeed.
