AMA FAMA 2024 EP04 Beverly Mhlabane

We spoke to Beverly Mhabane from Zapa Farms, an egg producer from Gauteng. Bev was an engineer and her farming journey started because she was tired of paying too much for eggs, so she got herself ten chickens in her backyard and they produced eggs for her and her family. Little did she know that a few years later she would be running a farm with more than ten thousand layer chickens and she will be supplying a few businesses with eggs.

I'm layer farmer at small scale also,I knew of the outbreak but I never experienced it,very thankful for the information though I knew of bio security but I wasn't strictly, after this watching this episode I will do better for sure.
To the young people, I farm at home ,let's start from home, as business grow we'll look for better place.
