Woohoo, congratz getting a PS5, I was lucky to get mine 2 months after launch and loved it, I wasn't a fan of the style either, but once I put the midnight black plates on and stood it vertical.....omg, loved it
same! I can never go back to PS4 with 30fps games yuck. The good graphics and frames made me get used to it I can't go back to PS4 games unfortunately lol
I absolutely love my PS5 but that's hilarious that you taped an external to the side 😅honestly I would reinvest in a Seagate Fire Cuda SSD that's the one I use and it's blazingly fast and saves a lot of games
Got this thing two years ago - played Spiderman and some PS4-Games. Been waiting for any interesting game since - didn't come so it's just used as a 4k-Bluray-Player.
The stand works for the horizonal placement, that's how you stop it from wobbling. The box includes a little drawing of how to place it ^^ That's how I was able to place mine. Much love!
Using the stand in the horizontal position is terrible... it doesn't stay on well and easily becomes unstable. There are vastly superior aftermarket horizontal stands for the PS5 available on Amazon and elsewhere that are just worlds better.
I've had my ps5 for a year, certain things can improve but what console is perfect anyway? All I honestly care about are the games! Features, controllers, services etc, ok cool great but it's all about games for any console period! Nice review!

I have a PS4 Pro with a 2TB SSD. Still performs very well and is sufficient for my needs right now. Will upgrade once they release an updated model which will hopefully be black, smaller and more compact. Don’t see this happening for a while yet though considering Sony is trying to sell all those colourful faceplates…
Hey ircha if your still having issues with the PS5 base i did too on the bottom of the console there’s a little black cover the size of a penny that you must remove to screw in the bolt that is located inside the base it’s self i hope you this comment reaches you Irene 💗
@Ircha Gaming, congrats and welcome to the PS5 family! I love my PS5. Not liking the design of the console but what it can do is amazing! I'm 67 hours into Horizon FW and still not close to the end. I also have alot of backlog games and just bought Tiny Tina on PS5. Enjoy. I was lucky enough to get a Sony invite to buy a PS5 a few months ago.
I was thinking about doing an unboxing video wow you're in for fabulous console the hard ware line from the controllers to the colors " I wish they would add yellow" the Design of the ps5 is something out of Starwars the virtual psv2 head set is out of thus world...you're going to amazed with the ray tracing and performance...
After not being able to get a hold of a ps5, got a very powerful gaming laptop with an RTX3080 as well as a Switch and an Odin Pro handheld along with a Game Pass sub. At this point, if I even get a ps5, going to wait for the mid cycle revision. I'm not as attached to Sony's IPs these days. Not into GOW and I got GT7 on the PS4 Pro, probably the last Gran Turismo game I'll ever buy. Everything else I'm into these days is available through Microsoft, Nintendo or Steam.
I live in China ands there is no shortage of PS5 or any other consoles at all. Feel like living in a different world. Happy for you. And you made me thinking if finishing horizon zero dawn

So as long as you have the physical game copies you can play your ps4 games on ps5? I do have the digital games backed up on a Seagate hard drive which it looks like you do as well. I just discovered your channel in the past week and I'm loving it.
@@ircha I got lucky and won a ps5 on eBay. (Only $600 usd for blue ray edition so not too horribly priced.) My poor ps4 deserves a retirement. Thanks for the review and reply. It helped me make my final decision.
Great review! I feel you when you said you envy ppl enjoying said games but you try so hard without getting that enjoyement. That's so frustrating! I still don't have a ps5. Money wise i don't see myself let go 600-700€ so i'm gonna hold on to my ps4 and xbox serie S, along with my switch. Oh talkin about the switch, you should take a look at "fishing paradiso" really cute game with funny characters and little stories. Your main objective is obviously fishing but that's quite easy and mindless. Good mindless game! (Wink to one of your recent video 😅)

Thanks for making this video! It's crazy to think that after all this time, we still can't just walk into a store and buy a PS5. Crucially, I've seen XBOX Series X and S in stock at retailers at least three different times since release, and I've never seen PS5s on a store shelf. I was fortunate enough to get one this January during a Walmart+ online promo here in the States. They sold out in less than two minutes! If PS4's weren't bringing stupid money at the time, I wouldn't have gone to the trouble of getting a PS5 because of the high cost and the low number of PS5-specific games. I sold my PS4 1TB Slim for $350 US, and the PS5 was $499. IDK if the market is still that hot for used PS4s, but you might want to think about selling it rather than packing it away. (I had no idea until I was chatting with some folks on a random UA-cam livestream.) Just a thought. Also, I've just got to say that I think you are 100% correct when you say that Horizon: Forbidden West is basically the same game as Horizon: Zero Dawn. I don't think I've ever experienced a sequel video game that felt so much like DLC in my life. I'm a huge Horizon fan, but the sequel missed the mark for me in ways both known and indescribable. Have a good one!

Hi. I'm new to try e PS5 too. I bounced off those games too, found that Ghost of Tsushima was a banger on there if you'd not already played it on the 4.
I love my unlimited edition PS4 console. I wouldn’t trade it in for the world. I like PS5, don’t get me wrong but honestly the graphics are not that much mind blowing if you put them side by side. The performance as far as the loading time and the controllers are a nice touch, but still I feel like the controllers on my PS4 are still good aswell. I played the PS5 and honestly, the only reason I’m getting the console is for PSVR 2, and to experience the next level VR system and the games. Honestly the only reason for my update, but I love my ps4 console. It would literally have to be real people in the game for me to totally have my jaw dropping for me to be wanting to convert over. I’m just keeping it real.
It's expensive because it actually has modern technology. Also it's big because without a huge heat sink and a cooler it would be very loud. This is also why those designs will not work very well. Maybe in the future we will see something more sleek, but it might take some time. Just check how to use the stand and it will not wobble anymore lol :D. I did like Forbidden West but there were definitely some problems. That mass effect like "conversation roll" is just not working anymore and all the stuff you also noticed.

I hate the design as well. But I realized when you change out the side panels for black ones that it wasn’t the design I hated but the color. It looks so much better when you switch out the panels for a different color.
I agree the design doesn't make sense, and I also don't like the white and I don't like that game covers have white on them. Much prefer the PS4 design and game covers design. My fav thing about the PS5 is the recording and how I can easily look at something I just did (and easily delete it too). Genshin Impact on the PS5 is pretty satisfying. Though I don't play it anymore because I don't have enough primogems and will NOT spend money. I kind of miss Fischl. My poor characters... I leave them behind. Goodbye Genshin.
Had mine for about a year now, and its next to the tv in vertical mode, because it's too clunky to put anywhere else. I still get confused about the direction the disc goes in, and the design is kinda ugly with the white plates. The same goes for the controller and it already has stick drift. Those are the things I don't like, all else is amazing and I love the feel and details like the x o triangle square pattern on the plates and controller texture. Performance is great, no more long loading times and Ive had only like 5 game crashes so far
I got mine day one... and I haven't been all that thrilled with it. Most of my time last year was PS4 games (mostly FFXV and 13 Sentinels). I'm pretty sure if it was my ONLY platform, I'd probably be happier with it. I agree that it's ugly. And I have a lot of other (negative) stuff to say, but I'll just leave it at that. But I'll also add that I don't like the direction PlayStation itself is going.
I still can't believe Sony went with such a ridiculous design for the PS5. It's almost as if they were still living in 2006. It's huge and it looks like they went with the first choice of mockups.
I did not know the PS5 was that huge! I don't like the design either. It's funny how the digital only version of the PS5 looks exactly the same as the cd version of PS5. The Xbox series S on the other hand, is smaller and thinner than the XBox series X.
Yeah the caves did suck in Horizon. Sometimes I just had to use UA-cam to get out. But otherwise I really loved the game. Congrats on Ps5. I do agree with your take on it.🤠💕
The climbing is a massive disappointment in Forbidden West ngl /: thing is once you’ve played Assassins Creed and experienced that type of climbing and everything else after that in other games is a let down 🤷🏻♂️ just straight up annoys tf out of me looking and hunting for walls I’m a load to climb up 🤬 naaa I’m okay,
Not buying a PS5 till the optimize the older games. PS+ playing older games is buggy, crashy. Xbox Backward compatible games as optimized and upgraded visuals for free, with Auto HDR and Dolby vision. When they do fix that, my wife will cry when I say I want a PS5 as well lol. I will only be using PS5 for Exclusives as GP and 3rd games is just too much of a good deal.
Anyone know how it works if you have PS4 and you have the disc, you get a PS5 digital and transfer your games over do they still ask for the game disc, or does Playstation give you a digital key for the games you transferred, I get the feeling none of the games will work, these things never work out well.
i love how a lot of other people are praising Sony for the design, i don't want a console that wobbles. that is stupid, i don't buy a modern console for it to be a centre piece or a piece of art, i buy them to play games. as for the controller. they literally double downed on that stupid over sized select button that everyone hated on the ps4. why i don't want fucking touch controls on my feckin console. i don't like gaming on a phone for that reason.
It's just too expensive right now, plus because of sales my ps4 game backlog is insane LOL I'll probably get it when it becomes retail friendly, but there's no way I'm paying more than £300 max, so if it never comes down to that, well, I have literally years of PS4 games to play.
The stand is less complicated than it seems but it does require a screwdriver. You can use it to make the system stand vertical or horizontal. Weirdly, in horizontal mode the stand fits into that slanted spot where you taped your hard-drive so it'll be stable when you lay it down. So far I like the system. The way it runs and the speed feel great, really responsive. Personally love the controller as well. Probably my second favorite controller at this point. One thing I really DON'T like though, is the system interface. The menu's are really convoluted. Recently got a series X in addition to the PS5 and I think I like the simplistic design of the Series X more and the packaging for the console is second-to-none.
Have to disagree with you on the menu interface and UI's between the Playstation & Xbox consoles. I like the Playstation's WAY better !! The menu system on the Xbox is confusing and convoluted to me. Most of the time I can't find what I'm looking for on Xbox where the PS is simple to understand & navigate. I do like my Xbox alot don't get me wrong, but the menu system could use an overhaul.
@@TheActs2021I've had it for a year maybe and still struggle to do simple things like leave a voice chat party. And closing a game is like a 5 button process. I'm sure I'll eventually get used to it but it's not doing it for me yet.
I got one nearly a year ago and its a good console experience with the fast loading and improved performance, also the increased immersion from the DualSense and 3D audio. Astro's Playroom was surprisingly fun
I like the design of the series X so much more. I can't wait for the ps5 slim. It's gotta be better, because it can't get worse. Also assassin's Creed origins just went to game pass so imma try it.

@@jessepike3565 I own a PC and then realized I didn't need the Series X, that's why the Series X has a dust cover, it's basically never on. The games that are available for the Xbox are also available for the PC. Well, having is better than needing 😁
I went from PS4 Pro to PS5 and it just doesnt feel like a big jump. Also for those people that havent gotten a PS5 yet. Dont. There arent many games that are PS5 only. I have had this PS5 for about a year and I can say, I play mostly PS4 games on it. Theres just nothing out right now that makes it a must have.
I actually think it’s extremely SHOCKING that Ps5 has been out for 2 years , most can’t even get 1 yet and even more shocking, there’s no games. Like 2 years and hardly anything. It’s a complete joke.

Growing up with mostly Playstation I really love the controller positions of the Analog sticks. I actually am the opposite and dislike it in the Xbox position lol. My hands are just so used to them both in the middle. I honestly wish face buttons and shoulder buttons were universal though and that all consoles used the same ones lol. To this day X will always be the bottom button for me. I hate it when I switch to Nintendo then X is top face button, then Xbox and it's left face button lol. AAH. Also, I know I am kinda the minority here, but I actually love the design of the PS5 (just not the size). The size is ridiculous lol. If they slimmed it down it would be great and made it all black with a subtle little blue line of light like they already have. You can as you say buy the new plates though but there should be an option by default to have it all in black. As most TV's are black and other consoles so this thing will just be a massive eye sore!
@@MrJHarley17 haha yup. After 10 years I am finally a bit more familiar with the xbox controller but I still don't know nintendo ones lol. I try to ignore learning them now on purpose though. I just mentally convert it on the spot in my head haha. Once I know what a button in a game corresponds to on the position of a PS controller I am just like right ok "top face button i.e Triangle" lol. I think of everything in PS buttons. I know most people these days are probably thinking that way of the xbox controller instead but as PS came out first and then all rpgs were always on PS, I never really got used to xbox until much later in life and if I had my way everything would be universal to the PS buttons lol
I must be in the minority bc I love the PS5’s design. I think it looks modern & artistic, like what would happen if Picasso had designed a console lol. I’m not one to customize electronics usually, but Sony’s new faceplates are awesome too. Maybe the other colors would help you like it more? I have Sony’s black faceplates & Dbrand’s light-covering vinyls in pink. Looks sick. Can’t wait for Sony’s pink ones too.
I've had mine since launch. It's been almost 2 years since it launched and I couldn't recommend someone to buy it right now unless they are rich. There's just not enough exclusive experiences
I'd recommend it based on the fact that theres lots of PS4 games now that are upgraded on PS5 on top of the PS5 exclusives the console has. Basically whatever they're playing on PS4 we're playing the better version of it.
Until recently I've never considered the ps5, just cause of the lack of games. Only ones I want that are currently out is demons souls and returnal. But after thar plays of play and those games they showed, I'm actively looking for one now

@@PrisonMike117 idk the game developers community all agree that ps5 is the easiest console of the 3 to develop for….and development time for games have been gr8tly reduced bcuz ps5 development kits are top-of-the-line…..so a game that wud normally take 5 years wud only take 2 to 2 1/2 years to make…..no cap….look it up on the internet Thats why i believe the aforementioned games in my earlier post will come out those times….and i also believe metal gear solid 1 remake , star wars knights of the old republic remake, ghost of tsushima 2, socom US navy seals 2, psvr 2 exclusives, last of us part 1 remake, & hogwarts legacy will also be coming out in the coming years….

I managed to get one in June, I asked the shop when they will get more in and he said we have some in but that they wont put them on the shelves or on their website as scalpers keep getting them and only tell people they have them when they ask. To be honest I don't think its a massive improvement on the PS4 if I am honest, but I finally got one :).
I got my PS5 last week too (i have all the major consoles now: XSX, NS and now PS5, its kinda for my work) and I do agree with many points that you're making. The first thing that hits you is just how YUGE ps5 is! The stand is difficult too. I have my console horizontally and I had to adjust the stand many times before i got it right and playstation was standing firmly. The controller feels nice to me - vibration is great and definitely best of all the controllers i have and haptic triggers are at least an interesting gimmick. That being said I really do love my XSX and if i was to choose between the two I'd go with XSX.
The haptic trigger and overal feel of the dual sense is great, but the battery performance is kinda sad, and my version 1 has stick drift.. Newer versions wouldn't have this problem, there's a video on how to recognise the bar code for the newer model or just get the latest fancy color.
I got my PS5 disc version on launch day! I got lucky and received the email from Sony to buy directly from them. I actually like the design of the PS5. Maybe that's cause I saw the dev kits first and didn't like the design. So when they revealed the PS5 design, I was just glad it wasn't the same as the PS5 dev kit.
In Horizon it's time to admit you aren't any good at it: you've been stuck at 13 hours for 2 months. You don't have to do the Cauldrons (the climbing puzzles unless you want machine overrides). And you're probably not using your focus to show you everthing. 115 hours in so far. 15/10
U can tell these ppl that make videos are usually not true gamers & make sensationalist videos for views…..they have more time trying to edit their youtube video than trying to familiarize themselves with the game they are reviewing on youtube….no one takes the time to truly immerse themselves in games anymore….every game now is a speedrun or a critique….no one plays games to jus play games anymore…..i bet today’s gamers dont even know the name of videogame composers…..like, are gamers hardcore anymore!? While I am a big fan of the Horizon series, I agree 100000% that the climbing is "clunky" and I think it's the game engine they are using. Great to hear finally got the PS5 and I am with you on the....waiting for a PS5 Slim please, Sony!

Got 2 Day 1 for me and my son ,due to lack of PS5 only use of power games he traded it for a tattoo sleeve and I have reboxed it waiting for PSVR2 to come out. I've been playing my switch and Xbox Series X the whole time

I hate the design of the disc version too but if you had good taste you would have mentioned the digital one is actually the best looking console of this generation, plus you want the controller sticks to also be unsymmetrical like Xbox, why, if your thumbs are in the same place in both hands 😝 you bought the ugly unsymmetrical ps5 plus want the controller to be ugly too just bad taste no offense.
The only good thing about the PS5 is the controller which of course you can use it on any other consoles and PC which makes it not exclusive to the PS5 I already tried plus premium for free it’s not as great as game pass
Xbox is the way the this generation. In fact, I barley turn on my Switch anymore and when I do I just can’t deal with the 30 fps and turn it back off. The PS5 is just too big and bulky for my desk and lacks in other areas, so the Series X has become my primary console.
Why is people saying PS5 is a ugly system i disagree it find it not ugly yes it big of course Xbox series S look sharp same with X but overall Xbox is better on sells than PS5 maybe PS should get more system produce there lacking..xbox is doing good in Japan and gamepass is huge dale better than PS now..

I really appreciate that you don’t play the console wars game. As someone who has an Xbox series S and X, a PS4 (with a plan to buy a PS5) and two Nintendo Switches, I love all of the platforms. I hope they all win.
Don’t bother charging the controller as soon as you get the low battery warning. It lasts for hours after this. Just wait until it fully dies. The game that you’re playing will normally pause (unless you’re playing dark souls or Elden ring etc) when it dies so there’s no need to worry about that

I’m loving Horizon FW but yeah it has such a slow start. I like the writing of the tutorial as to why it’s happening, but that starting area & the original area before you get past the gate into the actual Forbidden West is definitely not as good as ZD or the rest of FW. There is an option under visual I believe to always highlight the grips on the walls as to what’s climbable. Hope that helps, congrats on finally getting the system.

I've had my ps5 for a year, certain things can improve but what console is perfect anyway? All I honestly care about are the games! Features, controllers, services etc, ok cool great but it's all about games for any console period! Nice review!

I have a PS4 Pro with a 2TB SSD. Still performs very well and is sufficient for my needs right now. Will upgrade once they release an updated model which will hopefully be black, smaller and more compact. Don’t see this happening for a while yet though considering Sony is trying to sell all those colourful faceplates…

Hey ircha if your still having issues with the PS5 base i did too on the bottom of the console there’s a little black cover the size of a penny that you must remove to screw in the bolt that is located inside the base it’s self i hope you this comment reaches you Irene 💗
I saved up months in advance to get a ps5. Pre-ordered it back in September 2020. And it arrived on Christmas eve that year.

I also have alot of backlog games and just bought Tiny Tina on PS5. Enjoy. I was lucky enough to get a Sony invite to buy a PS5 a few months ago.
You should be able to put the stand to lay it flat down and be steady. Hope that helps.

After not being able to get a hold of a ps5, got a very powerful gaming laptop with an RTX3080 as well as a Switch and an Odin Pro handheld along with a Game Pass sub.
At this point, if I even get a ps5, going to wait for the mid cycle revision. I'm not as attached to Sony's IPs these days. Not into GOW and I got GT7 on the PS4 Pro, probably the last Gran Turismo game I'll ever buy.
Everything else I'm into these days is available through Microsoft, Nintendo or Steam.

Thanks for making this video! It's crazy to think that after all this time, we still can't just walk into a store and buy a PS5. Crucially, I've seen XBOX Series X and S in stock at retailers at least three different times since release, and I've never seen PS5s on a store shelf. I was fortunate enough to get one this January during a Walmart+ online promo here in the States. They sold out in less than two minutes! If PS4's weren't bringing stupid money at the time, I wouldn't have gone to the trouble of getting a PS5 because of the high cost and the low number of PS5-specific games. I sold my PS4 1TB Slim for $350 US, and the PS5 was $499. IDK if the market is still that hot for used PS4s, but you might want to think about selling it rather than packing it away. (I had no idea until I was chatting with some folks on a random UA-cam livestream.) Just a thought. Also, I've just got to say that I think you are 100% correct when you say that Horizon: Forbidden West is basically the same game as Horizon: Zero Dawn. I don't think I've ever experienced a sequel video game that felt so much like DLC in my life. I'm a huge Horizon fan, but the sequel missed the mark for me in ways both known and indescribable. Whats with the stand... Sony even released a tutorial how to use it even before the PS5 got released. And its pretty nicely done to use in both ways.
I love my unlimited edition PS4 console. I wouldn’t trade it in for the world. I like PS5, don’t get me wrong but honestly the graphics are not that much mind blowing if you put them side by side. The performance as far as the loading time and the controllers are a nice touch, but still I feel like the controllers on my PS4 are still good aswell. I played the PS5 and honestly, the only reason I’m getting the console is for PSVR 2, and to experience the next level VR system and the games. Honestly the only reason for my update, but I love my ps4 console. It would literally have to be real people in the game for me to totally have my jaw dropping for me to be wanting to convert over. I’m just keeping it real.

In November of 2020, I traded a brand new Nvidia 3080 for a ps5 bundle. Forbidding west is my fave.
It's expensive because it actually has modern technology. Also it's big because without a huge heat sink and a cooler it would be very loud. This is also why those designs will not work very well. Maybe in the future we will see something more sleek, but it might take some time. Just check how to use the stand and it will not wobble anymore lol :D. I did like Forbidden West but there were definitely some problems. That mass effect like "conversation roll" is just not working anymore and all the stuff you also noticed.

I hate the design as well. But I realized when you change out the side panels for black ones that it wasn’t the design I hated but the color. It looks so much better when you switch out the panels for a different color.

I agree the design doesn't make sense, and I also don't like the white and I don't like that game covers have white on them. Much prefer the PS4 design and game covers design.
My fav thing about the PS5 is the recording and how I can easily look at something I just did (and easily delete it too).
Genshin Impact on the PS5 is pretty satisfying. Though I don't play it anymore because I don't have enough primogems and will NOT spend money. I kind of miss Fischl. My poor characters... I leave them behind. Goodbye Genshin.
Had mine for about a year now, and its next to the tv in vertical mode, because it's too clunky to put anywhere else. I still get confused about the direction the disc goes in, and the design is kinda ugly with the white plates. The same goes for the controller and it already has stick drift. Those are the things I don't like, all else is amazing and I love the feel and details like the x o triangle square pattern on the plates and controller texture. Performance is great, no more long loading times and Ive had only like 5 game crashes so far
I got mine day one... and I haven't been all that thrilled with it. Most of my time last year was PS4 games (mostly FFXV and 13 Sentinels).
I'm pretty sure if it was my ONLY platform, I'd probably be happier with it. I agree that it's ugly. And I have a lot of other (negative) stuff to say, but I'll just leave it at that. But I'll also add that I don't like the direction PlayStation itself is going.

I still can't believe Sony went with such a ridiculous design for the PS5. It's almost as if they were still living in 2006. It's huge and it looks like they went with the first choice of mockups.
I did not know the PS5 was that huge! I don't like the design either. It's funny how the digital only version of the PS5 looks exactly the same as the cd version of PS5. The Xbox series S on the other hand, is smaller and thinner than the XBox series X.

Not buying a PS5 till the optimize the older games. PS+ playing older games is buggy, crashy. Xbox Backward compatible games as optimized and upgraded visuals for free, with Auto HDR and Dolby vision. When they do fix that, my wife will cry when I say I want a PS5 as well lol. I will only be using PS5 for Exclusives as GP and 3rd games is just too much of a good deal.

Anyone know how it works if you have PS4 and you have the disc, you get a PS5 digital and transfer your games over do they still ask for the game disc, or does Playstation give you a digital key for the games you transferred, I get the feeling none of the games will work, these things never work out well.

i love how a lot of other people are praising Sony for the design, i don't want a console that wobbles. that is stupid, i don't buy a modern console for it to be a centre piece or a piece of art, i buy them to play games. as for the controller. they literally double downed on that stupid over sized select button that everyone hated on the ps4. why i don't want fucking touch controls on my feckin console. i don't like gaming on a phone for that reason.
It's just too expensive right now, plus because of sales my ps4 game backlog is insane LOL I'll probably get it when it becomes retail friendly, but there's no way I'm paying more than £300 max, so if it never comes down to that, well, I have literally years of PS4 games to play.
Sony and Microsoft haven't caught on that a lot of gamers now are women and children whom would benefit from a smaller controller

The stand is less complicated than it seems but it does require a screwdriver. You can use it to make the system stand vertical or horizontal. Weirdly, in horizontal mode the stand fits into that slanted spot where you taped your hard-drive so it'll be stable when you lay it down.
So far I like the system. The way it runs and the speed feel great, really responsive. Personally love the controller as well. Probably my second favorite controller at this point. One thing I really DON'T like though, is the system interface. The menu's are really convoluted.
Recently got a series X in addition to the PS5 and I think I like the simplistic design of the Series X more and the packaging for the console is second-to-none.

Also the newer models has a thumbscrew for the stand instead so you don't need a screw driver with those models
Have to disagree with you on the menu interface and UI's between the Playstation & Xbox consoles. I like the Playstation's WAY better !! The menu system on the Xbox is confusing and convoluted to me. Most of the time I can't find what I'm looking for on Xbox where the PS is simple to understand & navigate. I do like my Xbox alot don't get me wrong, but the menu system could use an overhaul.

I got one nearly a year ago and its a good console experience with the fast loading and improved performance, also the increased immersion from the DualSense and 3D audio. Astro's Playroom was surprisingly fun
I like the design of the series X so much more. I can't wait for the ps5 slim. It's gotta be better, because it can't get worse. Also assassin's Creed origins just went to game pass so imma try it.
the internal design of the Series X is also very cool. The mini fridge design just reminds me of the SFFPCs I'm very fond of.

I went from PS4 Pro to PS5 and it just doesnt feel like a big jump. Also for those people that havent gotten a PS5 yet. Dont. There arent many games that are PS5 only. I have had this PS5 for about a year and I can say, I play mostly PS4 games on it. Theres just nothing out right now that makes it a must have.
I actually think it’s extremely SHOCKING that Ps5 has been out for 2 years , most can’t even get 1 yet and even more shocking, there’s no games. Like 2 years and hardly anything. It’s a complete joke.

Growing up with mostly Playstation I really love the controller positions of the Analog sticks. I actually am the opposite and dislike it in the Xbox position lol. My hands are just so used to them both in the middle. I honestly wish face buttons and shoulder buttons were universal though and that all consoles used the same ones lol. To this day X will always be the bottom button for me. I hate it when I switch to Nintendo then X is top face button, then Xbox and it's left face button lol. AAH.
Also, I know I am kinda the minority here, but I actually love the design of the PS5 (just not the size). The size is ridiculous lol. If they slimmed it down it would be great and made it all black with a subtle little blue line of light like they already have. You can as you say buy the new plates though but there should be an option by default to have it all in black. As most TV's are black and other consoles so this thing will just be a massive eye sore!

I just mentally convert it on the spot in my head haha. Once I know what a button in a game corresponds to on the position of a PS controller I am just like right ok "top face button i.e Triangle" lol. I think of everything in PS buttons. I know most people these days are probably thinking that way of the xbox controller instead but as PS came out first and then all rpgs were always on PS, I never really got used to xbox until much later in life and if I had my way everything would be universal to the PS buttons lol
I must be in the minority bc I love the PS5’s design. I think it looks modern & artistic, like what would happen if Picasso had designed a console lol. I’m not one to customize electronics usually, but Sony’s new faceplates are awesome too. Maybe the other colors would help you like it more? I have Sony’s black faceplates & Dbrand’s light-covering vinyls in pink. Looks sick. Can’t wait for Sony’s pink ones too.

I'd recommend it based on the fact that theres lots of PS4 games now that are upgraded on PS5 on top of the PS5 exclusives the console has. Basically whatever they're playing on PS4 we're playing the better version of it.
Until recently I've never considered the ps5, just cause of the lack of games. Only ones I want that are currently out is demons souls and returnal.
But after thar plays of play and those games they showed, I'm actively looking for one now

I managed to get one in June, I asked the shop when they will get more in and he said we have some in but that they wont put them on the shelves or on their website as scalpers keep getting them and only tell people they have them when they ask. To be honest I don't think its a massive improvement on the PS4 if I am honest, but I finally got one :).
I got my PS5 last week too (i have all the major consoles now: XSX, NS and now PS5, its kinda for my work) and I do agree with many points that you're making. The first thing that hits you is just how YUGE ps5 is! The stand is difficult too. I have my console horizontally and I had to adjust the stand many times before i got it right and playstation was standing firmly. The controller feels nice to me - vibration is great and definitely best of all the controllers i have and haptic triggers are at least an interesting gimmick. That being said I really do love my XSX and if i was to choose between the two I'd go with XSX.

The haptic trigger and overal feel of the dual sense is great, but the battery performance is kinda sad, and my version 1 has stick drift.. Newer versions wouldn't have this problem, there's a video on how to recognise the bar code for the newer model or just get the latest fancy color.

I actually like the design of the PS5. Maybe that's cause I saw the dev kits first and didn't like the design. So when they revealed the PS5 design, I was just glad it wasn't the same as the PS5 dev kit.

In Horizon it's time to admit you aren't any good at it: you've been stuck at 13 hours for 2 months. You don't have to do the Cauldrons (the climbing puzzles unless you want machine overrides). And you're probably not using your focus to show you everthing.

I hate the design of the disc version too but if you had good taste you would have mentioned the digital one is actually the best looking console of this generation, plus you want the controller sticks to also be unsymmetrical like Xbox, why, if your thumbs are in the same place in both hands 😝 you bought the ugly unsymmetrical ps5 plus want the controller to be ugly too just bad taste no offense.
The only good thing about the PS5 is the controller which of course you can use it on any other consoles and PC which makes it not exclusive to the PS5 I already tried plus premium for free it’s not as great as game pass

Xbox is the way the this generation. In fact, I barley turn on my Switch anymore and when I do I just can’t deal with the 30 fps and turn it back off. The PS5 is just too big and bulky for my desk and lacks in other areas, so the Series X has become my primary console.
Why is people saying PS5 is a ugly system i disagree it find it not ugly yes it big of course Xbox series S look sharp same with X but overall Xbox is better on sells than PS5 maybe PS should get more system produce there lacking..xbox is doing good in Japan and gamepass is huge dale better than PS now..
I like the PS5 even though it looks like a freaking Wi-Fi route. That is because I've owned Evey PlayStation console since the beginning starting with the PS1

I really appreciate that you don’t play the console wars game. As someone who has an Xbox series S and X, a PS4 (with a plan to buy a PS5) and two Nintendo Switches, I love all of the platforms. I hope they all win.
Don’t bother charging the controller as soon as you get the low battery warning. It lasts for hours after this. Just wait until it fully dies. The game that you’re playing will normally pause (unless you’re playing dark souls or Elden ring etc) when it dies so there’s no need to worry about that

I’m loving Horizon FW but yeah it has such a slow start. I like the writing of the tutorial as to why it’s happening, but that starting area & the original area before you get past the gate into the actual Forbidden West is definitely not as good as ZD or the rest of FW.
There is an option under visual I believe to always highlight the grips on the walls as to what’s climbable.
