The "positionning" part of this video was very insightful and helpful, not just for yordles, but in general. Would love to see more stuff like that for different comps as well. And it made me subscribe lol
Glad it was helpful! The positioning examples are always in every "why you're not winning games with" video. They are also helpful for me when I sit down and try to position optimally, improves my own game as well :)
yea, positioning helped me win against my brother while i had 6 gold yordles, 1 braum and 1 silver veigar (literally just swapped positions of some of my champs; also, when i did that, both me and my brother had low hp, my brother had lower hp than me.he said it's the last round. indeed, it was.and i won the game)
@@Maskoff758 Just subscribed! New TFT player here and started with Yordles. I thought players are matched randomly with other players? If that's the case, how do you position your units correctly when you don't know whom you're up against next? Great video btw, learnt a lot!
This dude is sick He actually put the description to every in game term so nobody can posibly get loose Men you’re the go to guy for learning this game
AMAZING GUIDE. literally just tried yordles for the first time and won. veigar is so broken. gonna be spamming this comp whenever i have the opportunity. its so fun
Wow your way of explaining positioning is god-tier, this topic has never been clearer than after this video for me, thanks a lot for the amazing content you put out constantly and i hope to see more soon (hopefully on a Katarina comp, which I like playing a lot)
Dropped a sub and rung the bell. There's a ton of complexity in TFT, which is one of the main reasons I've been loving it, but it can be hard for new players to grasp that complexity beyond simple rudimentary ideas (like two damage one healing item on a carry, the concept of front and back-line, or getting more synergies online with unit selection). But hearing not only the what of unconventional tactics (every yordle game I've played I run Veigar, plus my MTG playing instincts always really overlooks Metabolic accelerator) and specifics (like Blue Buff + Gunblade and specific level rolling instructions), but also an in-depth why (like with the positioning guide you went over) makes this video educational beyond simply a step-by-step on how to play Yordles. Awesome video, can't wait to watch more of your stuff :)
Quick notes for the video Heimer Carry, blue buff and hextech, rabadon or fists Tank items on Vex, bramble, warmongers, redemption, stone plate, dragons claw Augments: So small, calc loss, trade s, metab acc At least 40g at Krugs, while lvl 4 Don't win anything 3-1 Hyper roll to 35, find as many 1 cost units as possible Lvl 5 and 50 gold: slow roll until either Poppy or Ziggs 3 star, lvl up to 6 to put in all yordles Lvl 6 slow roll until both 3 star on 1 cost units, lvl up to 7 Lvl 7 place Janna (or Taric/Orianna until you find Janna) 3 star 3 Yordles is important! Stop slow rolling when 3-4 turns from full 3 star, lvl up to 8 Lvl 8 add Taric or Orianna, or Veigar for dmg
I was just in a fully contested game and following your guide made me just the better yordle player and I had much more gold and better bench control. The positioning portion helped me close out the game with a 1st place because of the tristana position pulling lux ults
I found the augment with 3 loaded dice pretty good for yordles if you put them on lulu early there can only appear yordles in the shop bc the first enchanter is taric so its pretty easy to get a lot of yordles early on
my guy thanks for showing me the way of yordles i actually just had a really lucky game where i got 2 poppy and ziggs plus heimer from 1-2 and the augs were great since i got enchanter giving +2 enchanters, trade sector for extra rolls, and this scholar trait giving 5ap perm for every round they survive so it helped cover that damage weakness as you mentioned with his items, but the cherry on top was items being so lucky shojin on janna gargoyle redemption vex the core heimer items, but the funniest was double archangel static shiv veigar it was so much fun!
Brand new to TFT. Made it right on through two gold in only 2 weeks of casual playing after refining some elements of this guide. Forced yordles every game. Figured I’ll learn everything I can about this build before learning the next. Thanks for the guide! Absolutely the way to go with yordles
Been running this got 1st place 4 times in a row. One time I even got a perfect run. Went from low silver to gold super fast. Gonna keep spamming it until it stops working. Amazing video my guy.
Really good guide! I have been a one trick yordle which got me to plat but ive been hard stuck for the past week or 2. Your video made so much sense and I feel like when you mentioned the roll down to 35 gold at stage 3-1 it sounded so good I wish I knew it earlier. Thank you so much ^-^ Also really well explained :D
if u get the Junkyard augment in this build (recieve component every 3 rounds with 2 scrap active) 10/10 would recommend early game with a trundle/zigs or ezrael/zigs on a little lose streak it will pay out specially late game when u get scrap from zigs and janna those extra items really come in handy for the Veigar at lvl 8
Finally! Someone who agrees Heimer carry is superior. I’m new so I was reading content and watching videos and on reddit and everyone was saying trist carry was better and i begrudgingly switched from Heimer carry to trist carry, but it feels so much worse and now I feel vindicated.
The problem is, yordles are too weak early game, and hitting Tristana 3* is easier , that's why you get more consistent results building Tristana carry , also If you re diamond+ you know how to transition to other comps if needed from there (Jhin+ori ), while heimenfinger carry is stronger u won't get consistent results. Any way, it all depends if you get AP or ad itemsat the beginning
Great guide! Played in a contested lobby, followed your guide and placed 1st :) Definitely a great comp if the items and Augments are favorable. Found your channel last set and am loving it still.
I really like this video series, it helps with things i didnt really see myself, also could you maybe add counters for specific comp in the video, would be really cool
Hmm, last time I checked they increased healing/shielding of entire team. But if it's true then you have more options at level 8, veigar/ori/barum should all be good.
im currently on diamond now, if someone want to climb i rarely see yordles there, pretty good guide bro my mind was stuck for days with this set but, i watch many of your videos and they helped a lot ! i have another mindset for the game now, my mind was still on previous set, tnx bro
Don't sleep on Ionic spark, I find its an exceptional item on vex with its MR reduction and damage, especially given how AP-heavy yordles tend to be. Great video as well, very informative. :)
The only problem is that you could do the claw which give better rm than the ionic spark, and you need the ap for heimy. But tbh I tried vex carry a little and this item is really good/insane in that case.
always got fucked with yordles this set, first game after watching this video I got third and only lost out to two high rollers, EVEN THOUGH I WAS FULL CONTESTED. The tips in these video helped greatly, many thanks! instant sub
Tried this tactic out for the first time and went from having 8 losses in a row and dropping to 32 hp to then winning the whole game with 14 straight wins. Damn
Tried yordle lording after seeing this video, first game i forgot to hyper roll at 3-1 and did it at 3-2 instead, still won the game pretty much the moment heimerdinger got 3 stars (deathcap as third item besides core), due to my last opponent rage quitting the 1v1 after he couldn't kill my board.
I watched till the augment part and I can't believe you leave out the best augment for yordles by far which is wise spending. This augment practically makes your slowroll into an insane scaling comp that makes reaching lv8 or 9 while slowrolling possible. Having an extra Orianna or Taric will gives so much more sustain to allow the game drag till you get your Veigar as win con.
This is alright. You can run a variant of this comp by focusing on Tristina and using two snipers until the mid game. Really depends on what items you get.
I think another thing to add is that if you get wrench it's always better to use it on Heimer to give the carry items to Veigar since both of them build the same items but Veigar's carry potential at the later stages of the game is amazing and he will just destroy the enemy's team with Heimer items so it's important to go for that if you can.
morello is often more effective on veigar because of his ability to hit the whole board and his mana required for his ability is low enough as is. Blue buff is a luxury but I would focus morello and something like a GA first. Especially pre lvl 2 that makes a world of difference in the amount of casts he can get off b/c getting picked.
Thanks so much for this vid! Just tried it with a partly contested lobby and won the game! I literally start playing tft because of yordles (esp Heimerdinger! Super cute in Arcane haha). Liked and subbed you for support :)
Great guide! I played this comp a few times before watching your video with pretty good success but I only ever played Tristana carry. This Gunblade Heimer strat looks neat, I will give it a shot!
I literally watched the video, went ingame and won with Yordels (not my first win with them, but it feels like the most skilled xD). I was not even planning to do it and wanted to keep the video in mind if the opportunity hits and it hit hard. Instead of an item or gold I got 3 units, 2 Ziggs and 1 Poppy + Lulu in the shop and one of the Hexcores was the Yordel buff "dodge 35%" ... I did not even read what the other stuff was, I just picked it and was committed xD And I guess without the tip to just hyper roll for Poppy and Ziggs 3* after the Kruggs, I'm not sure if I would have done that ... but I did and it worked °L°
Interesting take on yorldes. I play it slightly different, investing a bit more into early game and itimizing my Poppy and aiming to get a win streak instead of a loss streak.
Ok, funny thing about this synergy is, unless it's been changed in the last couple weeks, veigar actually has a second hidden spawn condition. If every other yordle has been taken out of the pool (a bunch of people have to be pushing for yordles), and there aren't any yordles to left to summon, veigar gets summoned instead.
Dude I swear positioning and focusing on who to focus on was the bane of my Yordle gameplay. I got first with them before but that wasn't with me realising the tactic. Tried it just now and hit first again 🔥
In previous TFT sets, I have always been plat-diamond. But this current set I am hard stuck in gold because I find Yone and Mercenary extremely boring to play. I keep playing Yordles and I either win or lose very hard trying to make Tristana as a carry. Your guide is very insightful and I learn a lot about how powerful positioning can be. Thank you, I would had subscribed to you but it seems that my fiancé has already done so. Lol.
i play a lot of jayce, you may want to pick it up. jayce is extremely versatile to the point where my only trait that is connected to him is just enforcer but i take him anw because of util and with scholars (even scholars 2) is very tanky bc of the barriers on casts. you will see a garen 3 giving you a run for your money, jayce does that on his own and better with yuumi. i get a flat bonus trait like bruiser/innov into late game enforcer/sisters comp jinx, carry orianna, jhin, akali, viktor or whatever carry you want in the back line in which he can even buff viktor/jhin/orianna if you got a formidable frontline (like a powerful mundo/chogath) before getting him though at that point he will not be a main feature in your comp but rather a wonderful support for a damage boost that can hold a morello if you need anti healing that you didnt need before lategame
though personally, the biggest buff jayce gives me is just security. a reliable frontline for whatever the fuck comp i ended up with in early to mid game trying to preserve hp as much as possible not 3 starring any unit along the way, bonus is that being that conservative with hp gets you to damage enemies harder than usual since you are trying so hard early to mid not worrying abt late game (since he can be put in any kind of team with either vi, cait or fiora) that enemies just die before you notice so every game i just get as much 2 stars i can early then rely on those until i need comps for mid game and level to 8 for late for jayce and some carry
First try and got me a first. I know i had luck with the right items and nearly went out having only 14 hp left, but went on a 13 game winstreak after. Thx for the video
If you get +socialite and shared spotlight, you have auto game win with yordles, 6yordles (heimer carry) with seraphine, taric and eventually veigar. I have yet to lose with this setup. Janna / Taric / Orianna is like everygame additions, but if you hit shared spotlight, go 3 socialites any way you can. It is so far the strongest yordle comp.
Hello, very good video thanks for all the advice, some doubts. If I get a bodyguard + do I itemize the poppy? . What do I do if I don't get 3 yordles at 2-1?, where i use the neeko?
I think the Enchanter trait Heal/Shield bonus only applies on the Enchanters themselves. So 2 Enchanters will only increase the Healing of Janna and Lulu. Heimer's healing from Gunblade is not increased.
I watched like half this video, got excited and jumped in a lobby to try yordles and got perfect items for tf into heimer and a ornn artifact for vex who was holding gargoyles and bramble! Won the match with 94 hp and 12 win streak lmao I only had 1 veigar so I didnt even put him on the board yet too
I’m a little late to this video but I have one glaring issues. Enchanter trait specifically states that enchanters heal and shield for more no? So that means hextech gunblade hiem is unaffected right?
Just saying, this comp is fucking amazing if you get the one Hextech Augment that gives your champs a random third item if they have exactly two. Heimer loses nothing, since he only has two core items (and the random one is often pretty decent) and you get to build items for many of your other champions as well!
I'm not sure if I'm convinced Yordles are competitive this patch. I ended up 7th after going 40hp -> 0hp after I got all 3-stars. I was unable to keep up, even with Heimer BIS, and just died the turns between 3-staring everything and leveling to 8. Not sure what I could've done differently.
Mutual feeling. I've been able to onetrick most of maskoffs guides to diamond but I'm going botton 6 almost every game in silver lobbies with BiS and godtier shop rolls. Maybe I'm dogshit at piloting this trait or something. Just can't seem to figure when this comp hits its powerspike, even with Veigar, scholar and enchanters in mind. Sad becuase yordles is really fun :(
Make sure you have a tf carry with items. To save hp early, probably better to slam items on him than save items for heim. I would keep him in long as possible unless you get bis heim items. Vex needs tanks items her alone with 3 tank items will solo 4 to 5 units even if your team dies. Actually I had a game where I went first with Vex tank items. Brambles, warmogs, and dragonsclaw. Had almost no items for any carry on my team and it was 4 to 6 arcanist team I had with 3 yordle. It was so funny to win with zero carry items. All tank and utility items. I got unlucky and got ad components so I couldn’t make some items I wanted.
when u say the bench selling priority is trist, lulu, vex, heim, does that mean keep onto the trists the easiest or sell them the easiest? sorry im new to tft n slightly confused
Once I played them with 3 star Taric, 3 star Seraphine, 2 star Janna (had 8), socialite heart. Had the same Heimer items, but couldn't hit 9 due to augment and got second. Just imagine getting one more round, hitting 3 star Janna and 3 star Veigar. I could've possibly won by selling the Veigars though. Next time I'll make use of your advices.
Have you seen the reddit post about Yordle comp? It's like I am watching 2 different games. He tells to use only Trist as carry or Ziggs if you really get only AP items and to never play Veigar at 8 but Jhin instead. Also he says that playing for 3 star all Yordles is just lowering down their winrate and people should stop doing that. Same goes to Poppy and Vex. He recommends 3 Stoneplates on Poppy since Vex will not move from level 2.
Thanks for the guide, this made me sub! I've been winning with this set, only time I end up in second place is if someone else is doing this set and he manage to build the team early game 😂 I'm curious, what do you think of arcanist-imperial set? I've been doing that before this set but I feel like I'm having a hard time with the item and which one to improve. Thank you and more power to your channel! ♡
Thanks for the fun guide! I like yordles a lot but they seem too weak to play this set. I'll give this a try, the timings for roll downs was the biggest help for me, as often I'd roll down because my hp got too low for comfort, even if waiting 2 more turns would be better timing. Btw, I've found the strongest early game carry is trundle by a large margin. Before he gets nerfed I recommend you try it out, maybe as the item carry for an urgot or yone? He's def going to get a nerf, probably to his base dmg or atk speed or both...
So if I don't have lets say at least 2 items for a Veigar 2star, basically never put him in ? Or vs AP comps always put in another enchanter instead of Veigar right ?
This was working amazing for weeks, but the last few days it's literally impossible to play Yordles, I don't know if they were nerfed or if it's just because of EVERYONE AND THEIR MOTHER playing Kat, but this went from a guaranteed top 4 for me, to a guaranteed 7th or 8th and I don't know what to do =/ Is this build still working at all for anyone?

It specifically says "enchanters Gain %increase to healing and shielding" thus heifer gets no bonus from enchanter 4 healing buff
Thanks for this awesome video bro!! 🤩🔥🤘🔥 will definitely try this!! 🥳👊
Lol.
i play a lot of jayce, you may want to pick it up. jayce is extremely versatile to the point where my only trait that is connected to him is just enforcer but i take him anw because of util and with scholars (even scholars 2) is very tanky bc of the barriers on casts. you will see a garen 3 giving you a run for your money, jayce does that on his own and better with yuumi. i get a flat bonus trait like bruiser/innov into late game enforcer/sisters comp jinx, carry orianna, jhin, akali, viktor or whatever carry you want in the back line in which he can even buff viktor/jhin/orianna if you got a formidable frontline (like a powerful mundo/chogath) before getting him though at that point he will not be a main feature in your comp but rather a wonderful support for a damage boost that can hold a morello if you need anti healing that you didnt need before lategame
though personally, the biggest buff jayce gives me is just security.
a reliable frontline for whatever the fuck comp i ended up with in early to mid game trying to preserve hp as much as possible not 3 starring any unit along the way, bonus is that being that conservative with hp gets you to damage enemies harder than usual since you are trying so hard early to mid not worrying abt late game (since he can be put in any kind of team with either vi, cait or fiora) that enemies just die before you notice
so every game i just get as much 2 stars i can early then rely on those until i need comps for mid game and level to 8 for late for jayce and some carry
First try and got me a first. I know i had luck with the right items and nearly went out having only 14 hp left, but went on a 13 game winstreak after. Thx for the video
Your positionning part make me have to subscribe right away. Cant wait for Akali syndicate comps, i think Akali is best 5 cost 1* carry for now. :D
Just found out about your channel, this is so well explained ! Thanks a lot.
thank you very much 4 that guide, I had no clue about any tactics regarding tft and it was really helpfull
just won a couple of games with this, absolute OP... when veigar is lvl 2 is game over. Got him with a gunblade. Man, unkillable.
Hello, very good video thanks for all the advice, some doubts. If I get a bodyguard + do I itemize the poppy? . What do I do if I don't get 3 yordles at 2-1?, where i use the neeko?
I prefer going chainvest first and adding it on a bodyguard early as itemholder for vex, vex is the biggest carry early imo
Awesome guide!! Thank you very much for the content
Yordles are my favorite comp! Thank you!!!
This video helped me win my first TFT match w yordles 😭 thank you!
Great guide. Thank you!
Actually won my first two games ever after watching this! Very helpful!
Won the match with 94 hp and 12 win streak lmao I only had 1 veigar so I didnt even put him on the board yet too
Looking forward for the innovators guide! :)
Thanks for the video, definitely helps!
thanks for this video! might be getting into TFT again now when soloq season is over^^
I’m a little late to this video but I have one glaring issues.
Yes god we love the quality content
Thank you :D
Thanks for the vid man, big time help
Great video man. Keep it up
I'm not sure if I'm convinced Yordles are competitive this patch.
Opinion on shojin blue buff Herimer? It makes him ult every auto.
Learned something, subscribed
thanks for the guide, helped me a lot this new set
Have you seen the reddit post about Yordle comp? It's like I am watching 2 different games. He tells to use only Trist as carry or Ziggs if you really get only AP items and to never play Veigar at 8 but Jhin instead. Also he says that playing for 3 star all Yordles is just lowering down their winrate and people should stop doing that. Same goes to Poppy and Vex. He recommends 3 Stoneplates on Poppy since Vex will not move from level 2.
That was pre poppy scaling nerf :)
Thanks for the guide, this made me sub! I've been winning with this set, only time I end up in second place is if someone else is doing this set and he manage to build the team early game 😂
I'm curious, what do you think of arcanist-imperial set? I've been doing that before this set but I feel like I'm having a hard time with the item and which one to improve. Thank you and more power to your channel! ♡
Thank you so much for the video, this is now my favorite comp! :)
best youtube series for TFT
Thanks for the fun guide! I like yordles a lot but they seem too weak to play this set. I'll give this a try, the timings for roll downs was the biggest help for me, as often I'd roll down because my hp got too low for comfort, even if waiting 2 more turns would be better timing. Btw, I've found the strongest early game carry is trundle by a large margin. Before he gets nerfed I recommend you try it out, maybe as the item carry for an urgot or yone? He's def going to get a nerf, probably to his base dmg or atk speed or both...
Focus zigs and poppy and yordles +scholars it's op
I just found your youtube videos.... You have some good advices/tutorials. Tnx
If you get ad items do u go trist carry?
So if I don't have lets say at least 2 items for a Veigar 2star, basically never put him in ? Or vs AP comps always put in another enchanter instead of Veigar right ?
What a Guide, time to put in in practice instead of studying
What do you mean the enchanter buff makes Heimer heal more? I thought it was written that only enchanters gained bonus healing?
Amazing guide! First game after this i just rolled over everyone. 14 Minutes of pure gold
Seen this comp in so many games i have played. How do you play against it?
This was working amazing for weeks, but the last few days it's literally impossible to play Yordles, I don't know if they were nerfed or if it's just because of EVERYONE AND THEIR MOTHER playing Kat, but this went from a guaranteed top 4 for me, to a guaranteed 7th or 8th and I don't know what to do =/
Is this build still working at all for anyone?
Yordles can be a trap for people that want wins rather than to get better at the game imo.
Start playing flexibly and you'll love it
I just started playing TFT a few days ago, I have not seen Veigar yet. Is he not in this patch or do you have do something to find him?
U must three star all yordles then the game gives him to you
Amazing guide , seems like you put a lot of effort on these well respected sub.
Love your content! Can you do why you aren’t winning with sion? Struggling with that one right now
Great stuff!
Thank you so much !
I really appreciate "Please consider subscribing" as opposed to SUBSCRIBE and SMASHHHHHH THE LIKE BUTTON!!!!!!
