This song and music video are so good!
I love the use of sticky notes for thoughts (even though you can only read them they still say have so much character and show the story so well), and I love the lights and makeup and the colors and the filter for the camera, really the whole video is just really well made.
And the song is amazing! It’s just really pleasant sounding, kind of jazzy kind of musical. And I really love the theme of the lyrics of wanting someone to open up (maybe cause I’ve been on both sides so it strikes a chord). Honestly, if this doesn’t sound weird, you sing it with this confidence that makes it feel like a magical being wanting to strike a deal, but instead of “selling your soul to get what you want” it’s “let me understand what’s in your soul”. Maybe the thousand years lyric makes me think it, but I digress.
It’s a really catchy and good song, and I’ll probably be listing to it a lot!
