- Going back to the channel's roots! Very excited to bring you another Pop Up Parade, and this time it is an XL! Man, I swear the XL is VERY pricey, but I'm excited to add another Rei Ayanami to the library.
We have a different take to the review and unboxing this week, I hope you like it. TLDR, Rei Ayanami is really a blown up 3D model of its predecessor.

I think PUP XLs are NOT worth it because if you are going to pay that much, might as well buy a quality scale figure instead. I think the PUP Ls are pretty good! The regular PUPs are just too small and the quality is inconsistent.

@@oricebucket No problem! I actually plan to do a review on some PUP Ls that I preordered when they are released! I still ordered a regular PUP, Ai from Oshi No Ko, because I am curious how regular PUPs are after they switched from the hexagon to disk base.

My favourite Evangelion characters would include; Shinji Ikari for either 1st, or 2nd. With Mari Illustrious included there. 3rd would be Rei Ayanami. The Large figures are nicer, still won’t turn down the smaller ones. 😃
Wow. Another Mari fan. I love it! Ikari Shinji must be my fourth favorite. It's nice to see him go through all the trials. Evangelion is definitely a great anime for me. Yup. And the small figures are one of life's greatest pleasure!
Mari to me is, the mystery, venturing into the unknown. Shinji took that risk, not listening to anyone, (who he knew personally) a leap of faith which could go… Anywhere! That is incredible to say the least. Eva 3.0+1.11. After that movie, it’s not the same & I hope it never will be.🥲 It has cemented itself in my top 5, or 3 Anime series ever. Things will change, this still marks a special spot, I wonder how others will look back on this years from now. Amazing figures, fantastic review. @@oricebucket
@@oliverfriesen1895 Yea, I'm still trying to find meaning from the ending. And I like how it is kinda open ended so we get to interpret the movie in broad ways. Eva and AOT, has changed my impression in ways.
Besides the Anime, check out the manga. The last few chapters of EVA at least. AOT is another good one! Guyver is another interesting series to check out. It’s probably not for everyone, still a series I like to think about every once in a while. Lots to enjoy😃@@oricebucket

For me, I would buy the normal size then save the money to buy memorable stuffs for my loved ones. (Unless I don’t love them more than enough to spend. 🤭)

Hi. Glad you like it. Unfortunately mine is not a real Nixie tube. Mine is a digital one made up of LED panels. What you see is 6 LED screens. You can even customize the picture on it. It is in fact made by Eleksmaker and it's called the PR2. Let me know if you like it. But there are several other clocks out there. I just happen to like the design of this one.

I’m expecting more detailed quality from bigger scale figure, but the additional price paid for this is just the increased materials. It would be just a collection rather than appreciation I guess. In order to complete the collection, u have to buy ALL sizes… XD

It's a pass for me if it's the same sculpt and pose as the normal PUP. GSC is so lazy for this, at least the Fairy Tail XL has a little difference from their normal release unlike this Evangelion pilots.
Haha. That's right. I was so surprised too. And it's really difficult to choose one, but if I were to choose, I think I would take the small one. Cheaper and looks more detailed. (Although they have the same details)
