I like it. Its crazy how much you can hear the tires scrub. Battle in giant letters looks like ass.

It depends on when you live in the U.S because there are different interstate freeways and I live in California so there are different interstate freeways like the I-10 from California to Florida, the I-5 from the Canadian border to the Mexican border, the I-15 from the Canadian border to California, and the I-8 from the Mexican border to Arizona

Glad someone filmed this so soon! Definitely an interesting combo for sure. Easily one of my favorite electric truck videos to pop up. I’m curious to see if these will show up on other chassis in the future. It’ll be interesting to see how it down this winter, a good place for republic to test these out for colder weather. Really liked the shot at 8:32 showing how far the arm extends. Nice work Marcus!

Amazing truck. Love the Boivin/Heil body body but still not sold on electric chassis’s. The body does seem like a great idea to have electrified considering companies like New Way are doing Electric over Hydraulics now which operate so much better compared to the old system of which was Air over hydraulics.

Cool to see this new Heil after their SST failed, and cool for Republic to try out another new Heil product. Word is my yard may get some electric trucks, makes me wonder if they will buy the ZR electric or this thing.

happy to finally see a LET2 in republic colors. still find it odd that they chose the fort collins location to reveal this truck considering all they ran before was diesels, and not all of them were exactly "clean" diesels lol

For a company like republic they are hardly concerned with “revealing” it in any particular place. They are testing it to see how it performs in different route conditions, whether it be temperature, elevation, volume of stops per day, transit times to dump, etc. Cold weather states present challenges with moisture & snow whereas whereas Southern California (Anaheim) is notorious for heavy dense routes so both present performance challenges for their new electric vehicles. If they wanted industry attention on it they would be publishing press releases featuring a slick photo and some vague footnote about “testing on route in Colorado.” Considering this was first discovered by filmer enthusiasts they probably weren’t trying to show it off. That being said, this video will probably be watched carefully by Battle and Heil’s competitors, especially those that deal with Republic

@@trashmonster26 yeah considering they already have electric units in cali, testing them out in a colder part of the country seems to be the next step since electric vehicles do have some problems in sub-freezing temps. it seems to be working out now but I anticipate problems that they'll have to iron out as the winter progresses

Now if Republic can just stick with Battle for Electric, CNG, and clean diesel. Will be straight, Heil and Amrep body’s. Be in good shape.

2020 or 2021 is when Gallegos sold out to Republic. Gallegos was HQ’d in Fort Collins and had a division in Wyoming called Wyoming Disposal Services I believe. They also took over the WDS division as well.
