How specific of a problem did you have to identify for the subject of your capstone - did they give you a lot of guidance- or did you feel well prepared for that?
Congratulations! That’s amazing. I am starting C225 and for some reason at super nervous to get started. My goal is to finish by Nov. 30th. Any tips for gearing up for the capstone?! Thanks in advance!
I can't decide between a masters in teaching, secondary English or elementary education. Help. My BA was University Studies with emphasis on English, Child Development, and TESOL cert. I'm good with little children and enjoy them. But I like the idea of teaching upper grade levels and having less fluff. And a prep period. I feel like the Elementary program will be easier for me. But the English course has 7 less classes.
Wow!! How impressive!! Did you finish all three tasks in ONE day?? I’m finding the essays to be a lot of work to write. Were you able to do them all on the same day?
Thank you for this video! I’m thinking about getting my masters in education. For your final research project did you have to be observed or record a video? Did you have to give a presentation of your research? I’m a mom and I want to know how much work will be expected…
How many pages did you have to write for your assessments and did you have to do a lot of thinking outside the box for your assessments such as making a professional development on your own? Also how many pages of reading did you have to do a week ?
I am planning to start their online masters degree in curriculum and instruction (online it says 10 courses). Seems like the faster I finish the less I pay. Is finishing it in 1 year possible as a working teacher?
My only concern is theres something I want to do that 100% requires a bachelors degree, its not just a bonus or gives me an advantage over applicants who don't have a degree, would getting a degree in such a short amount of time affect that you think? Looking to teach overseas and a degree in any field is a requirement.
How fast could I get my bachelors if I have one year of university gen ed I’m looking into accelerated programs is this one of them? Do credits transfer ?
Congrats! I just finished my masters as well through CUW. It was a 2 year program and over $20,000. My capstone alone took me 6 months and over 70 pages! I also had to complete a field experience within the district I work at. Did you have to complete that? Did you do a portfolio? My program was also self paced which was so helpful with a busy schedule!
Congrats to you! I didn’t do a field experience because I am already a teacher so that is where I did my capstone research. I didn’t have to complete a “capstone” but I did have to create a multimedia project on my capstone.
I didn't have to study "a lot" but I did have to study! All the tests were essays, so the time it took to complete each one kinda depended on how many things I had to address in the essay!

@@biancao7631 I had 11 credits transferred. I think that the classes are doable as long as you put in the work. I’ve been in the classroom in some form or the other my entire adult life so the program was easy for me
@@simplyadona5075 Thank you for replying so quickly! I think I have about the same or a little more. Yes I am willing to put in the work!! ☺You have just convinced me to apply! Is there any advice or anything I should know about WGU? Thanks so much again!
@@biancao7631 well..... there is the EdTPA..... that’s the only thing I hated.
@@simplyadona5075 what is that???
I’m wanting to go for RN then their nursing informatics program!
How specific of a problem did you have to identify for the subject of your capstone - did they give you a lot of guidance- or did you feel well prepared for that?
I will be starting the MBA program on August 1st, very excited! Will also aim to finish in six months like you.
Congrats! 🎉
Did you complete your goal?
Any updates?
What is the proctor test for curriculum and instruction? Im starting in January and want to prepare for the exam.
Omg I start WGU online 12/2020. Compared to Columbia College it's actually much cheaper
I'm in the BA program for Elementary education through wgu and I just changed my mentor!
So exciting! How long until you finish your program? :)
haileykatelynn June 2023? I just started in January and now I have a better mentor!
That’s so exciting! I’m glad you were able to find someone that is a better fit for you! ☺️
Congrats so proud of u👍❤👏👏
Thank you!
Congratulations! That’s amazing. I am starting C225 and for some reason at super nervous to get started. My goal is to finish by Nov. 30th. Any tips for gearing up for the capstone?! Thanks in advance!
Thanks for the info.
How long (in hours) would you say each course took on average?
Wow!! How impressive!! Did you finish all three tasks in ONE day?? I’m finding the essays to be a lot of work to write. Were you able to do them all on the same day?
Is there a set required length for your capstone research paper? Thank you for this video.
Hi, you mentioned that it is a self pace program. Did you do one class at a time or multiple classes?
How long did it take for your results for the capstone take to come back? I’m on the edge of my seat waiting lol
I think this is the best University, this is our Education should be!!!
Agreed!
thanks for the info. do you have info on how wgu helps w teacher certification?
How long did your papers typically have to be?
Can you apply for financial aid I want to go for childhood education and graduate in 2 years or less
Thank you for this video! I’m thinking about getting my masters in education. For your final research project did you have to be observed or record a video? Did you have to give a presentation of your research? I’m a mom and I want to know how much work will be expected…
I got to do 114 credits. I'm majoring in Elementary education. How hard is it? Any tips on the math?
I just submitted my application and transcripts. I have a BS
me too! I was accepted yesterday :))
Congrats on finishing!! Now take some time to rest and relax
Thank you girl! ☺️💛💛
Hello, I need to buy a webcam for the exam. Which one did you buy ?
I bought mine from WGU!
Starting oct first .. masters on information technology..
My only concern is theres something I want to do that 100% requires a bachelors degree, its not just a bonus or gives me an advantage over applicants who don't have a degree, would getting a degree in such a short amount of time affect that you think? Looking to teach overseas and a degree in any field is a requirement.
How many hours did you put in on the weekend?
Hi, I did Bachelor's in Education and now i want to do Master's in educational leadership so for Master's Do i need any teaching experience ???
I just had a call with them and they said the program for MA in Elem. Edu is 2 years minimum
If u get a Bachlors in Special Education. Can they get a masters in the masters degree that you got your masters in?
Are you a teacher with your masters degree? I can’t pass the praxis math so I need to change to this program! Thank you for answering
Does anyone know if getting a masters degree from WGU works for Massachusetts? Like is it accredited here?
How fast could I get my bachelors if I have one year of university gen ed I’m looking into accelerated programs is this one of them? Do credits transfer ?
So I’m getting sociology degree but I was wanting to masters in education because I know this is my passion.
I got my BA in Sociology and am currently at WGU getting my Master's in Elementary Education + Teaching Credential! It's totally possible!
I want go WGU and can i ask you how much time you spend eveyweek in online class
Did you feel prepared going into it? I just graduated with my Bachelors and want to start my Masters at WGU but feel so unprepared!
what do i need to be able to join? what paper work?
do you have to do observation hours
Did you have to study a lot for the proctored test? Did you find they were easy? How long did it take to take these tests?
I didn't have to study "a lot" but I did have to study! All the tests were essays, so the time it took to complete each one kinda depended on how many things I had to address in the essay!
haileykatelynn oh I see! Thank you for replying! You videos are fun to watch! I am also a kindergarten teacher. I teach in Texas.
Does WGU support financial aid
Hi Hailey, I was wondering if WGU offers student loans? With the way it's structured it seems like they wouldn't, but wanted to see if you had any insights. I know you didn't use any loans, which is awesome, but maybe you knew about it
I'm honestly not sure but I think they do! I would recommend reaching out to them to find out for sure :)
They do offer financial aid just like any other college :)
Good and pretty teacher
Thank you!
@@haileykatelynnI want a translation of the Arabic language, please
Is it possible to finish the program in 1 year?
Congratulations! Will you have Administrative Licensure with your Masters?
Hello, I am really interested in doing my bachelors in WGU, do you truly recommend it? I’ve seen a few bad reviews online and that makes me scared 😭😭Are they responsible with money?
Yes I truly recommend it!
However, I did the MS program, not the BA program. So I can’t speak to that program specifically!
haileykatelynn Thank you for answering!! This was of great help!! Congratulations on your masters and I wish you all the best!! 😄😄😄
