Thank you, Erica, Ryno & Craig! This will probably be one of my fave dining reviews you all have done. I was so bummed after getting up at the crack of dawn for 60 days’ ADR to not be able to get 1 at SciFi; but maybe next time. I’m Vegan, so I’m so happy Erica liked her Impossible burger, fries & Vegan shake. 🎉That is so cool that Adam, the CM, was so outstanding. I could watch classic SciFi for hours, too, Craig.
We haven’t been to Disney in forever but still love your dining reviews! Craig, you have the same off balance sense of humor as we do…my husband and I appreciate that! 🤩
I’m planning on eating at SciFi in September! A great way to get away from the heat 😅 Thanks for the great reviews. Y’all 3 are becoming my new favorite trio ❤❤❤
What I love about SciFi the most? The cars force the restaurant to give you the proper amount of space to enjoy the meal. In so many spots at WDW, it’s hard to eat without servers bumping into my elbows or back, and I’m not a very big person.
Love this nostalgic place. Main reason is you get a break from the chaos in the sun. Relaxing and cool. Close to a nap to rejuvenate. Arrive early. Bring silicon straws. Get the salad. Take your time. 😊
My wife and I did this on our very first trip together and we still talk about it to this day. I think the overall feel the restaurant gives makes this a win, but you do need to like burgers and fried food.
Our family enjoys the cars and the atmosphere. The burgers are better than your average Disney park ones and the desserts are okay too. My wife and daughter really enjoy the Vegan options and they absolutely love the Vegan milkshake! Thanks for the review guys.
The theming is so cute and fun, and the food has never been the draw for me or anyone I know lol. I especially love the Rocketeer memorabilia. That movie is so nostalgic for me so that’s always really cool to see.
This place is a favorite of ours. Lots of nostalgia and that’s just ours (been dining at Sci Fi since 1992). The comment about cast member Adam is something that is definitely not as common as it used to be. We used to have actual friends among the staff at the parks and resorts and this was before we moved to Orlando. We used to visit twice a year up until we moved to Orlando (we had at least twice weekly visits while living there and no blackouts as our annual passes were purchased while still living in NY). We developed relationships with cast members we would see frequently, especially at the resorts. We kept in touch while away from Disney World, even exchanged gifts and phone numbers. When visiting, we would often go out to dinner together (always off property as to not appear inappropriate). We would sometimes receive perks that weren’t advertised, but still available upon request…we just never had to request them. Those are things that make us want to return to Disney so often. We don’t get that kind of treatment at other resorts or other theme parks. In recent years though, it appeared that even Disney was losing people that made a difference. This post prices that wrong. Looking forward to our next visit.
Yahhh!! Finally. I personally believe that Drive In burger is the best burger in the parks. We make it a point to eat at Sci Fi every trip to get this burger and a milkshake (also to take a break from the craziness of HS and enjoy the ambiance/air conditioning). Thanks for getting this review in...looking forward to Rosa Mexicano soon!
great review! always enjoy watching craig/ryno and erika's point of view was good to add about the plant-based items. i've only been to hollywood/mgm studios once back in the 90's (only disney park i got to see) and thankfully went to sci-fi for lunch. would love to go back one day! maybe after nursing school as a reward.
Thanks for the review - We have always loved Sci-Fi especially for the creative theme .... Hey Craig, sounds like you might be a Svengoolie fan too 🤖😵💫
This place looks too cool; my wife and I have already resolved that this will be a place we patronize when we eventually return. Especially if she sees the desserts. Need to show her those desserts.
I’ve only eaten at this place once about 16 years ago. Their computer went down and they lost our reservation. Our son was only three at the time and had a bathroom accident, after we waited almost 2 hours to get in. The food was not good, but the theme was cute. All in all,we have not ever returned a second time.
I went with my family in December and was lucky to get a Dining Reservation for 2 at the 60 days out, but we had 3 when we got there. When I told the CM we wanted to add another, they said sure but instead of giving us our own car they crammed us into the back seat of one car. We barely had enough room to eat but we managed. The food itself was ok, and I'm glad we got to experience the theming, but we won't go back again.
Not sure if nostalgia got the better of the Dis Unplugged crew or if they really enjoyed the experience. We dined there on June 1st and it was not very good. Great AC, dark and quiet but the cast members rushed our experience and then took for ever to cash out the bill. We were not given any of the extra care they experienced. Over all I give the restaurant a C+.
Through the years it was wonderful after spending many hrs with our kids to have them sit in front of you,in a quiet interesting cool restaurant,AND I COULD SIT WITH MY HUSBAND IN PEACE!!!!!!
I just left Disney World on Monday (6/5), however, on Friday (6/2) my family and I were heading to Disney Springs and Erica was on the bus with us. I sat there the whole ride trying to figure out her name to say hi and couldn’t think of it 😅 I’m super introverted and she appeared to be as well so I just told my hubby I “know” her from UA-cam.
@@healthydoseofdisney thank you! I’m super shy and didn’t want to be awkward considering I knew your name but I was so anxious I couldn’t think of it in the moment lol Hope you had a great evening at Disney Springs despite the rain.
Great review team! I went many, many years ago and enjoyed the experience. I definitely wouldn’t want another party in my car. That would be very awkward.
my favorite part of sci-fi dine-in is if they're running behind and you are having to wait to get seated they give out complementary popcorn to snack on!
Could you add to your reviews "appropriate temperature" on hot dishes? That's a huge factor to me b/c a hot dish shouldn't be lukewarm. It tends to be the biggest detractor at a lot of Disney food spots unfortunately.
Great review! Like the dimly lit burger shot. Disney is pricing chicken wings like they are a luxury ingredient, when in the seattle area they are under $3/lb at the grocery store. 4-5 whole wings per lb.
Your review of the food may inspire to try Sci-Fi Diner again. The last time I was in, it was so dark, I had to be led to my seat. And then I could not read the menu!
As for the server…if I remember correctly, when we would use the dining plan the servers would ask for your whole order at once. Maybe they are just trying to get into the habit of asking being the DP is coming back? With that being said…I hated when they would ask for your whole order at the beginning and it also seemed all the courses would come out very quickly one after another! 😤
Love the DIS keep up the good work. Without discounts that’s $54 a person for lunch. That seems steep, but it’s highly themed so maybe consider it more like character dining. That’s less than a character dining meal.
We have eaten there two times. We love the theme. Both times, the service was horrible. They took way too long to order and receive the food. Even getting the check was a hassle. When we expressed our concern over how long it took, the supervisor told us that the "experience" is expected to take a few hours. What???? Food is subpar. On the second visit, I actually broke my tooth on the pimento cheese hamburger. The server told us that sometimes there's small bones in the meat. I was offered a fast pass for the trouble. They didn't even want to refund my dining credit back. This was pre pandemic. While the look of the restaurant is really cool I will not go back. I'd rather go to the Backlot.
I went a couple of weeks ago, and I enjoyed it, I Ordered the salmon pasta. The only thing I didn't like was the seating arrangement in the cars i felt like i was in multiple conversations and people were breathing down my neck
I think this restaurant is a good fit for people who like to go to the Hall of Presidents in the afternoon so they can sit in the dark in the air conditioning.
I have had the plant based cookie shake there before and it is absolutely delicious - the best plant based sweet treat on property as far as I’m concerned. My biggest issue is WHY can’t this be made anywhere else besides this restaurant! 😢
Even though I love sci fi, I actually prefer the other 'gimmick' restaurant (50's Prime Time) because the food is just better and more varied. $140 for 3 for basically a 'burger joint' is just too steep IMO. I did really love the ambience the few times I've been there but Prime Time is just as fun (if not more so if you enjoy interacting with the cast members).
Erica, can you please do a Disney dining review of the impossible burger at a Burger King in Orlando? I tried it myself today and was not very impressed. On the whole I’m not impressed with the burgers at this restaurant. The best part was getting a Burger King crown for free without asking or without having to push a child and grabbing theirs.
Is it awkward sitting behind each other ??? Also there seems to be a lot of plant based options everywhere but would love to see a video dedicated to people with food allergies
Please review chef art smiths homecoming at Disney springs please! I want to see you have the apple pie moonshine and the chicken and donuts! Thank you!
As long as you fit in the seats of the car. Very uncomfortable even when your not heavy. The seats are hard as a brick, the tray for the food is small...and most of the time you share a care with other people. It's def not an outdoor experience. Don't waste your time or money
I love seeing Sci Fi. TY. I’m sorry your waitress did not meet with your expectations. Perhaps she was not feeling her best n had to come in as she did not have paid sick time. Or perhaps she is covering more tables than her normal shift due to someone else not coming in. Course, not everyone is an extrovert n feels comfortable interacting n entertaining guests. Some people have that gift naturally n some have to learn it n it takes time. Be kind - always - not everyone has reached their best level yet and are a work in progress
I can't be the only one who waits for Ryno's YUMMY YUMMY at the end.
I lip-synced it when it came on and sassily put my finger in the air! 😂
Such a unique restaurant.... the experience is the seller. Way to go Adam for making memories for everyone!
When my kids were growing up, we ate here every time we went to Studios. SciFi holds many fond memories for us, thanks for this review 😊
Thank you, Erica, Ryno & Craig! This will probably be one of my fave dining reviews you all have done. Keep trying on that reservation! You may find availability opens up.
We haven’t been to Disney in forever but still love your dining reviews! Craig, you have the same off balance sense of humor as we do…my husband and I appreciate that! 🤩
Arguably my favourite restaurant at Disney World. Thank you for the review!
This is a nostalgic favorite for us primarily due to the ambiance, but the food is usually just fine.
I’m planning on eating at SciFi in September! A great way to get away from the heat 😅
Thanks for the great reviews.
This is a must do every trip for us, just for the nostalgia! My entire family looks forward to it. A nice break too!
Love this nostalgic place. Main reason is you get a break from the chaos in the sun. Relaxing and cool. Close to a nap to rejuvenate. Arrive early. Bring silicon straws. Get the salad. Take your time. 😊

Fun review, love this place. Great job Ryno, Craig & Erica.

YOU DID IT!!! YOU REALLY DID IT!!
The theming is so cute and fun, and the food has never been the draw for me or anyone I know lol. I especially love the Rocketeer memorabilia. That movie is so nostalgic for me so that’s always really cool to see.
Thanks for this! I LOVE Sci-Fi. Total must-do on our vacations.
Hey Erica 😊 Just wanted you to know my family and I love you with our 2 favorite guys , you're doing an amazing job and we appreciate you!

Really appreciate you guys including plant-based options in your review. 😊
Ate here the other day. It was average food at insanely high prices. Its a one and done type of place
Yeah, for us the server and atmosphere were fab, but that can't compensate for lukewarm food. It changes the flavor and enjoyment...
Thank you for your wonderful videos!! Many blessings to you all ❤
19:53 "We're at WDW. We expect things to be a little bit more expensive." And that right there is the problem.
We have an upcoming reservation at Sci-Fi and are so excited for it. It will be our first time!
Yahhh!! Finally. I personally believe that Drive In burger is the best burger in the parks. Great review guys. We love Sci-Fi, and, like Craig, I could sit there all day and watch the screen! They have the best milkshakes and fries too!
Thank you for the review. I love this place!
Thanks for this review! Trying to book this one for October. It’s one of our must dos.
I have a reservation here in August for my and my boyfriend and I am beyond excited
This place looks too cool; my wife and I have already resolved that this will be a place we patronize when we eventually return.
Especially if she sees the desserts. Need to show her those desserts.
Thanks for considering and reviewing plant based items for us non-carnivores!
As always a great review I just ate there in May with my son and I am planning on going again in July great job guys
How do you "eat together" if you are eating one in front of the other? Do you feel like you're eating alone or can you socialize as well?
I love that it's called the "Disney Disney Show" :)
The wings are so expensive cos of inFLYtion.
I love that restaurant. So much fun.
This one of my fave restaurants in Disney world found it really funny when on watching the clips an advert for something in 2020 and it now 2023
0:12 Neither Erica nor Rhino are alongside you
The desserts were gorgeous
I’ve only eaten at this place once about 16 years ago. Their computer went down and they lost our reservation. Ideas for the future:
Pete and Jackie joining you:
1) Boma’s (please!)
2) Hollywood Brown Derby
3) Victoria & Albert’s
Ok that intro with Erica in the back was funny. Also sharing the car with another party? Yikes.
Wow those wings were expensive. Prices are definitely higher

Great review team! I went many, many years ago and enjoyed the experience. I definitely wouldn’t want another party in my car. That would be very awkward.
This is a must do restaurant for my family and I…the milkshake is the best thing on property
I’ve been here quite a few times and always liked it and found it a good experience compared to other Disney dining places
They have rocketeer props...I love that movie. I wanna do this.
my favorite part of sci-fi dine-in is if they're running behind and you are having to wait to get seated they give out complementary popcorn to snack on!

They sat us in a car with another family in January. For that reason I will never go back.
The prices have definitely gone way up at WDW. Back when that restaurant wasn't so hard to book, we had a lovely meal there at nothing like $50 each.
Looks delicious!

Plant based milkshake sounds even more vile than most other plant based options
Sci-Fi has been so hard to get the last so many years. No it’s not gourmet, but the atmosphere is amazing.
We have eaten there two times. We love the theme. Both times, the service was horrible. They took way too long to order and receive the food. Even getting the check was a hassle. I understand your frustration ryno! Lol when you want a side salad and dont get one? It's irksome a little bit haha
Awesome video!! =] =]
I'm confused which restaurant to go to in September Woody's Roundup or sci-fi I guess whatever which one is going to be available😊
Can you guys do some new O'hana reviews? It's been a bit since you guys have been. thanks!
I went a couple of weeks ago, and I enjoyed it, I Ordered the salmon pasta. The only thing I didn't like was the seating arrangement in the cars i felt like i was in multiple conversations and people were breathing down my neck
Note to anyone of a larger shape - the cars are NOT comfortable! I've only eaten at Sci Fi, and that was enough for me. Enjoyed the review, though.
they do have picnic tables, have you tried those? I am on the fluffier side and used those
@Melissa Craig I've only been there once and I guess they were not available because we were not offered the option.
I think this restaurant is a good fit for people who like to go to the Hall of Presidents in the afternoon so they can sit in the dark in the air conditioning.
Craig's by far looked the best. Now I am hungry. I enjoyed eating there when I did but idk if it was worth the cost.
I have had the plant based cookie shake there before and it is absolutely delicious - the best plant based sweet treat on property as far as I’m concerned. My biggest issue is WHY can’t this be made anywhere else besides this restaurant! 😢
I agree the food was greasy and salty but the experience is very cool!
I wasn’t a fan of sci fi but your food looked a lot better. For me it’s the very dim lighting and the seating that we didn’t like
I want to try the desert Ryno had sounds delicious
I went here yesterday 😮
Even though I love sci fi, I actually prefer the other 'gimmick' restaurant (50's Prime Time) because the food is just better and more varied. $140 for 3 for basically a 'burger joint' is just too steep IMO. What if they changed this to Mickey and Minnie’s Perfect Picnic. And then showed their new cartoons?
no!
order desert first especially if you are on dining plan 😊
please try the new menu at Tony's or the Plaza in Magic Kingdom,
Erica, can you please do a Disney dining review of the impossible burger at a Burger King in Orlando? I tried it myself today and was not very impressed. On the whole I’m not impressed with the burgers at this restaurant. The best part was getting a Burger King crown for free without asking or without having to push a child and grabbing theirs.
I want to try the desert Rhino had
long ago they had a yummy reuben. We used to get that and a burger and split them.
Corey isn’t there to get his chicken club
You know that’s the first thing I thought too 😂
Is it awkward sitting behind each other ??? Also there seems to be a lot of plant based options everywhere but would love to see a video dedicated to people with food allergies
Twelve dollars for sub par pickles!
Why would the movies be better to be forgotten Craig? The past allows the people of the present and the future to learn without having to endure.
It even showed a ton and jerry short
I mean tom
Please review chef art smiths homecoming at Disney springs please! I want to see you have the apple pie moonshine and the chicken and donuts! Thank you!
Just did it today but we didn't get either of those things.
It looks like they got rid of Fiasco's favorite turkey sandwich. What a bummer.
If we are only a couple, can we be in a car by ourselves?
How were the onion rings?
As long as you fit in the seats of the car. Very uncomfortable even when your not heavy. The seats are hard as a brick, the tray for the food is small...and most of the time you share a care with other people. It's def not an outdoor experience. Don't waste your time or money

Boys, great job once again ...good reviews .....Erica, the food you eat would gag a maggot !
