Actually, the NES has a DMCP sound channel it uses to make voices with. In Spy Hunter 2 and other SunSoft games, it is used for the beat or another to make it sound great. This channel is used to recreat perfectly, the TMNT TV theme. On the correct frequency it's crisp and I have seen frequency tests on a voice sample for NES, very powerful. You may be able to find it on youtube.
