Looks like you may have softened your view of it after taking it apart. 😎 Not a bad knife. The other knife you were referring to was made by Southern Grind with the Case name one it. This is the first time I have seen a video on the new Case modern folders. Thank you.
@@LeftyEDC UPDATE: I went to install the bearings that you sent me and I couldn’t get the knife back together correctly. Everytime I got it back together, the blade wouldn’t lock up. The pivot has an indentation and goes in a certain way and the head is angled and for the life of me I couldn’t get it right. I tried everything and in the event, I lost one of the steel washers that the bearing rides on. Needless to say I had to send it back to Case. It took them two weeks to respond to me and send me the return form/info. Once they received the knife and it took them another two weeks to e-mail me that they received it and then it stated that it could take up for 4-5 weeks for repairs. I also had to put a check in the box with the knife for $27 for the replacement washer and putting the knife back together. What a fun time. It’s been almost four weeks since they received my knife and we just noticed that the $27 check has finally processed. Hopefully it’s will be back home soon. I haven’t even used it yet. Lol. You live and learn I guess. I even ordered a nice set of Wiha bits and a bottle of KPL from Amazon just for this occasion. SMH
I'm not so sure 'all in-house made' is correct. Apparently the box states 'MADE IN USA from imported and domestic materials'. I'd be very curious to know WHICH materials and/or components are imported; That could mean anything from 'the aluminum was imported' to 'assembled in USA from imported components'. It's not necessarily cause for alarm, but definitely a red flag.
"I hate this knife...I wouldn't recommend it...I'm not really into it" and then you take it apart and it seems to shine? S35VN high quality material...chunky blade...T8 screws...ball bearings...detailed machining like the pivot machining...Your clip complaint seems much ado about nothing...the blade jimping is necessary and is in the same general spot as Spyderco...jimping on the flipper tap is subdued to allow it not to snag on your jeans...it slides in and out of jeans just fine. I gotta give Case credit, this is an AMAZING knife for them. Ball bearings, solid materials, tough design...Kind of a home run. Your review is a full two thumbs down. I'll stick with Shabazz.
🍻 cheers brother Thrasher and thank you Señor Lefty for video 📹
I'm glad to see case branch out into modern knives. Great video 👍
It’s a good first attempt, I’d support it just cause it’s USA made and a good price.

Definitely see this as a work/shop knife, but kinda impressed overall.
Thank you for sharing. Is there anyway that I can get a couple of those ceramic bearings from you to swap mine out when my knife comes in? Thank you
Sure. I have plenty 😂. Just dm me or whatever. Leftyedc88@gmail.com
@@LeftyEDC I sent you an email. Thank you buddy.
@@LeftyEDC Hey Buddy. I received my ceramic bearings today in the mail. I greatly appreciate you sending me these.

Looks like the very tip of that blade was over heated during grinding or sharpening
Its a cool knife w/pretty decent action and I like that it's USA made BUT the price on it WAY out of line IMO !!

Sorry i didn’t love your knife man. Glad you do. Tell Nick I say Hi!
He is right about the clip. I call mine, gator. It takes a bite out of my jeans, frequently. I love the rest of the knife.
