Found this trick earlier today 3/10/24 while scrolling. Now I'm practicing it this evening. Great trick and tutorial. Enjoyed this! What if the spectator takes the top card as their second selection. Do you on your third choice, select the match to the new top card and proceed as normal? How do you change the line up?

Hey, thanks for watching! Asking the spectator to cut the deck for the second selection should prevent that from happening. However, if it does, you can do the following: For your third choice, note the new top card and then select the corresponding card. You'd carry out the spectators third choice in the usual way. Then for the final count, you can collect the pairs from left to right, and when counting, place each card on top, except for the fourth card which can go underneath (instead of the final card). Done smoothly, they hopefully shouldn't notice. Hope that makes sense!

You're the Magician. Guide and lead them in any direction you want them to go. When spreading the cards say, "Take a card from somewhere towards the middle of the deck" they will. For the second spectator selection tell them, "Cut the deck/cards approximately in half" they will do exactly what they are instructed to do every time. Trust me. I've never had any problems in all the years I've been performing. Have a magical day!
