The problem is that these cops and security have no idea what engaging in lawful activity looks like. They put their costumes on every morning and think they can just tell people what to do if they don’t like it. Police in this country must be reformed and that starts with being educated. They must know where their lane is and stay in it.

Mate : at 9:04 when Sergeant Armstrong offers to take you to talk to the Judge, Should have gone up, and asked, what Regulation, Rule, Code or Instrument are His/Her Honour using to overrule the Constitution in a Public Place? Call them out on their bluff, if threatened with contempt, an apology always resets any contempt threat, such like....
"your Honour, i apologize for anything i have said or done that may have offended this court as it was not my intention, now why did you just threaten me?" alway finish with a question, be the one "as king" them questions, not answering any.

Firstly, court orders are only to specific people. He can not serve you with a court order unless that court order is to you specifically. Secondly, CA's constitution only gives judges authority to preside over their courtroom, not the property

"There's a court order that prohibits people from video taping the court house." Then the officer states they are not violating anything, SO HE MAKES UP his own addition to the bogus court order with, "Could be if your filming outside and certain activities, certain areas"

  • @darrint3573
    @darrint3573 3 роки тому +1

The ruling only applies to the Courtroom, not the Courthouse. Which begs the question: why didn't you inform the officer that you also had the legal right to film in the publicly accessible areas of the Courthouse? Ultimately, allowing cameras in a Courtroom is left up the discretion of each presiding judge. I also pished my pants when you told him to shut up, and he responds by calling in a Code 1, asking the person if he heard you. LOL!

Johnny, you know I love you (not in a creepy, stalker way lol), but you were a little rough after he came back out. He was trying to tell you he checked and you all were right. I totally get that the adrenaline was pumping. I still love you, not going to unsubscribe or anything DUMB AF like that. All you people that think this shit is easy, or think you can do better, then take a tip from nike...Just do it. Sitting in your living room watching it on youtube is easy. Until you are face to face with one of these armed tyrants, you really have no clue what you would or would not do. I have recorded the police and thankfully, never have had a bad encounter. I live in a small coastal town in Oregon, and the cops here are pretty chill. So far. lol Not every auditor is the same, they all have different styles, all have different approaches. But what is the same is their mission. Their whole purpose. To educate. To stand up for OUR rights. Until you walk a mile in their shoes, stfu.

YOU HAVE GRACE ON YOUR SIDE U.S. Supreme Court United States v. Grace, 461 U.S. 171 (1983) .There was no doubt, according to the Court's majority, that the sidewalk around the Supreme Court building qualified as a traditional public forum. Grace, 461 U.S. at 179-80. The fact that this particular sidewalk surrounded a particular federal building did not give the government the right to strip away its traditional public forum character. Id. No fence, separation, or barrier indicated that this part of the sidewalk differed from any other part of this heavily traveled public walkway. Id. at 179. The government therefore lacked the right to ban speech in this public thoroughfare. Id. In perhaps the Court's strongest-ever affirmation of traditional public forum First Amendment safeguards

A little district court judge doesn't have the authority or power to over turn a Supreme Court ruling nor do they have the ability to legally strip away our constitutional rights. I've seen/heard of judges doing this many times, but yet haven't seen any order hold up. These judges are over reaching when they try and place court orders out like this.

Enjoy your work Nathanial. I like hearing what the officers have to say when they approach auditors. Whether it be their ignorance of the law or their ego/testosterone speaking. The entire audio of this interaction is this Johnny dude squawking. Nathanial, please take the lead on interactions when you're with him and encourage him to stop yapping so much. I could hear/sense some hesitation from you when he wouldn't stop talking and cutting the officer off. I'm sure he likes the sound of his voice and perhaps many viewers do too but I, for one, do not.

Wait a minute, first, I'm no legal expert, but from my understanding of law, in order for a Judge to issue a Court order there must be a Court "case". In a court case there has to be two opposing parties that present argument before a judge/jury. Then the Judge renders a "court order" in the case. In other words, each party must be given the opportunity to be heard, present evidence, call witnesses, etc. This was not a Court order, it was policy written by a judge......unenforceable outside the court building.

U.S. Supreme Court United States v. Grace, 461 U.S. 171 (1983) As a general matter, expressive activities involving "speech" protected by the First Amendment in "Public places," such as streets, sidewalks, and parks, historically associated with the free exercise of expressive activities, are considered, without more, to be "public forums." Therefore the sidewalks forming the perimeter of the grounds of a federal building that are indistinguishable from any other sidewalk should not be treated any differently, and thus are public forums for First Amendment purposes. "The sidewalks comprising the outer boundaries of the (Supreme) Court grounds are indistinguishable from any other sidewalks in Washington, D.C., and we can discern no reason why they should be treated any differently," Justice White wrote in Grace. Id. at 179. The same principle applies to the segment of road at issue in this present controversy.

Jacksonville Judge Rescinds UNCONSTITUTIONAL ORDER TO NOT FILM A COURTHOUSE in Wake of PINAC Lawsuit The North Florida Chief Circuit Judge who issued an unconstitutional order barring citizens from video recording the outside of a Jacksonville courthouse, prompting national criticism along with a federal lawsuit from PINAC, has rescinded his order.
Fourth Circuit Chief Judge Mark Mahon rescinded his order Wednesday, two days after a former Jacksonville judge from the same circuit agreed to join PINAC in its lawsuit, further embarrassing the rookie chief judge among his peers.
In his latest order, Mahon explains that he issued the initial order banning photography and protests outside the courthouse in order to ensure “a fair trial” for defendants that he does not name.
We know he never intended for PINAC correspondent Michale Hoffman to have a fair trial because he did everything in his power to ensure he did not receive a fair trial, including banning our videographers from recording the trial as well as banning Hoffman from using the First Amendment as his defense in what was obviously a First Amendment case.
To be precise, it was Duval County Judge Brent Shore who prevented us from recording the trial as well as preventing Hoffman from using the First Amendment as his defense, but Mahon is the chief administer of the Duval, Clay and Nassau County courts, so he approved the decisions.
And it was Mahon who issued the order banning videography and protests in front of the Duval County Courthouse, an act that was met with ridicule by national and local websites.
Mahon’s decision means we will withdraw our lawsuit, a decision made by our attorney, Andrew Bonderud, who could have pushed for attorney fees, but decided against it.
However, it does not address the fact that we were forbidden from recording Hoffman’s trial, even though the Florida Supreme Court established that right in 1979.
That’s an issue that was not addressed in our lawsuit because it’s a separate issue from the judge’s unconstitutional order.
That’s an issue that needs to be resolved and will be resolved.
Hoffman ended up convicted, which was not surprising considering they did not allow him a proper defense; a conviction he is appealing with the help of Bonderud.
Initially, Hoffman’s misdemeanor trespassing trial was of no interest to the local media, but they all became interested after Judge Mahon issued his initial order banning protests and videography in front of the courthouse.
In fact, they all scooped us on this story, which is fine with us. We appreciate the coverage from the Florida Times-Union, First Coast News and News4Jax.
The local media was even preparing its own legal battle against Mahon, knowing they would be next in line if he was allowed to continue violating PINAC’s First Amendment rights.
The rescission comes after representatives from five media outlets, including WJCT and News4Jax, met with Judge Mahon on Tuesday to voice their concerns about the restrictions.
First-Amendment Lawyer, George Gabel spearheaded the fight against the order.
Gabel said, “It was an issue that brought together all the major news media on an issue that’s important to their ability to inform the public about courthouse proceedings even though they’re competitors in the news business.”
We had planned a protest against the order for Monday, which will continue as scheduled, only now it will be more of a celebration, so everybody is welcome to join us. RSVP here.
Earlier today, PINAC reporters Jeff Gray and Thomas Covenent aka Epic Old Guy returned to the same spot in front of the courthouse where they had been previously threatened with arrest for video recording.
But this time, the cops greeted them with handshakes.

Can you guys go to Santa Monica Courhouse? They sent the Sheriffs after me for filming outside. Can you also explain how you can defy the court order thing?

Johnny was acting alittle irate honestly. I like him but that was a little much.

And the reason why the DA's office didn't send anyone outside to address this is?

this is real tragedy here... nathanial you might be my top auditor from em all with your calm and respectful way to handle these audits ... yet you team up with someone the complete opposite of your style .. this does not match up at all, just read many of the other comments here .. johnny is way to unrespectful bei yelling, cutting people off and escalating stuff by his voice...
you have some real high quality content on your channel - i would be worried seeing more of this "team" - sorry to be that honest (and for my english, not my native language :P)

When the cop said "There's a court order issued by the judge." I about lost it. You should have come back with, "The judge isn't above the law."

So now county judges have the authority to over-ride state and federal law?!?!?!?

The security guard was a little obtuse, but Johnny was a bit harsh on the cop. He was really passive, and wasn’t given a chance to speak. The best audits are when the auditor is passive and calm, meaning any aggression comes from the authority. As soon as you become the aggressor, you lose your moral high ground. You’re both good auditors though, but in my view: the style needs a bit of adjustment.

Zeus Boo look at NNH, Battousai, Honor Your Oath, and usually HDCW. Johnny is a new breed that enjoys unwarranted escalation, and while I support his right to free speech, I don't enjoy his *unwarranted* abuse. (When the cops earn the hate, it's great to watch him unload on them).

paul, i can't seem to find your audits,. um where are they? what's that? you've never done an audit?? Imagine my lack of shock!! do you tell other people how to do their jobs often, even when you can't do that job yourself? STFU!

    • @Merb34st

ocsob007 because you can't have an opinion about things unless you do them? That's retarded.

    • @Merb34st
      @Merb34st 7 років тому

ocsob007 your opinion certainly stinks. Opinions are neither right nor wrong, but to suggest someone isn't allowed an opinion on X because he never made X is stupid. This was placed out in public for public criticism, and the OP was exercising his right to free speech. Your opinion certainly does stink.
