      Need to take a backseat to what? They've not done anything and Shelley is 6 years past her logical prime. It's not hard to question what or where they are in life. She wasn't even good until she was 25 or 26 which is wildly unusual plus she's failed drug tests for pain killers and illegal corticosteroids which are anti inflammatory meds. If you're someone whose not delusional and you realize EVERY top sprinter of all time has failed for something in their career except for Bolt so naysayers aren't in the wrong because even with help from pharmaceuticals your body eventually runs out whether you start late or early. Carl Lewis took loads of PEDS, he's openly admitted that by not which ones, however, even he says Bolt was loaded and that's no doubt.

    Ah yes: 🇯🇲. The island with a smaller population than Kansas. I pains me to see a *possible* decline, but SAFP has been OLY medalist since 2008 in Beijing (12, 20 all gold), part of 2 🇯🇲 sweeps, and so much more. I pray that she and the rest of the Triumphant Triumvirate can compete well. Lots of young talent out there. But what I look fwd to as well, is her post racing career as she and her personality are ready to become a well decorated color analyst like Sanya Richards-Ross (another 🇯🇲 BTW 🙃). WHAT A CAREER! --> en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shelly-Ann_Fraser-Pryce

    • @chuckdeuces911
      @chuckdeuces911 Рік тому +1

      Yeah, smaller population than Kansas and having 6 of the 10 fastest men and women of all time especially since the 80s looks awfully suspicious not to mention the 6 failed drug tests in 2013 and in previous years which is why Bolt had one of his 4x100m medals stripped. There are 1 million Jamaican Americans which is about half of what Jamaica's population is so there should be at least 2 or 3 top level sprinters coming out of America too. This year had been drug test intensive around the world. It seems like less athletes compete when they are drug testing heavier than normal. Truth is everyone is getting in their PEDs at some point in the season so you can't take anything away from Shelly even though she had a weird career arc and didn't become world class until she was almost 25.

    After a 60.88 400m & 23.23 (1.8) 200m this year, Elaine has no business running the 200m @JAM Trials/WC as she's clearly lacking the speed endurance work to be competitive enough in the event, so should solely focus on trying to make Top 3 in the 100m instead and leave the 200m to next year! Shelly who hasn't run in almost 10 months needs to run all the rounds of the 200m @JAM Trials and then has the option to scratch from it @WC if her body isn't up to it. The 4-woman JAM 200m Team will be Shericka, Shelly and the Texas Longhorns Kevona Davis & Lanae Thomas with Natalliah Whyte & Ashanti Moore just missing out.

      I honestly don't know what Elaine's plans are but except for the recent 100m she ran we haven't seen her in a while and know not what her form is. With that said as the 3rd fastest of all times over the 200m why wouldn't she run in the 200m?..... If she fails to make the team she fails but should not be excluded unless she decides to focus only on the 100m

    • @AllInTheGame01
      @AllInTheGame01 Рік тому

      @@Jamcan4484 Cos she ran 11.24 (1.5) a wk ago! If you think someone who hasn't cracked 11/23s all season is going to turn around & run low 10.9/22s at a minimum in just 2wks, I don't think you know how the sport works. The background work that provides the base for rock solid speed endurance is clearly not there and that's not something that gets fixed in less than 2wks, so she needs to go all in on the 100m & leave the 200m till next year!

      During the year FloJo broke the world record, a lot of athletes (most of them American) suddenly developed asthma so that when they eventually tested positive for steroids, it could be blamed on their asthma medication. FloJo ran a time she had never come close to before, set the world record, then later retired without defending her title which many people found very strange. I was a child at the time, but I remember there were lots of stories circulating about her, Marion Jones, and other members of Team USA doping. I don't know how much coverage it got in America, but for the rest of the world, it was an open secret that many of those top sprinters were using performance enhancing drugs.
