- Earlier this year, Teekay Offshore Partners announced the acquisition of ALP Maritime Services B.V. (ALP), a Rotterdam-based provider of long-haul ocean towage and offshore installation services. Full release here: bit.ly/Mghdlz
As part of the transaction, Teekay Offshore Partners and ALP ordered four 300 ts SX-157 Ulstein X-Bow Design long-distance towing and anchor handling vessel newbuildings -- the ALP Future Class. Designed to meet the highest industry standards, the vessels have a fuel capacity of 3,500 MT, sufficient for non-stop Trans-Atlantic/Indian, Pacific Ocean towing operations without fuel calls.
This new partnership sets Teekay and ALP ahead of the curve to meet the growing demand for specialized long-haul towing services due to build-out of the offshore oil and gas industry.

The Mighty and heroic ALP Guards coming to the rescue at the Suez Canal!
I'm afraid that, that hydrodynamic configuration is a marine mammal death trap. The unimpeded suction into those giant props would be irresistible, immense .
Very nice. I want one of these for World Sea exploration. On the deck, I would put a 40m boat, and on top of the 40m boat, I would put 2x Zodiacs. So I can go everywhere where I want. :-)
Hello from shipbuilder of the st. Petersburg. My respect your constructors.
I enjoy those clips on off shore support and supply Vessels. Mostly the Dutch designed and build.
ALP_Striker in ❤️ my Dream PSV ❤️❤️❤️
Love the design, especially the bridgewings. I hope they will put some real maneuvering consoles there in stead of the stupid joystick you see on most tugs these days.
So neat...😇
Good job teekay...
Im very Proud of it...
Could you please tell me what software made simulation for this
If I wanted a game I’d play one.
overall good designs developers, but still rough needs a few touches and a bunch of other few refinements as far as I can see. I like them ships just don't like the ghostly nature by which the invitations have been served. singed X
Why not azimuth thrusters?
Because of the power. There is no Azipods for this size of vessel that can handle 24,000hp continuously and as reliable as a shaft line with ducted prop.
Wanna became a handler on these kind of vessels
Ce ne pas mal
The future is not anchor handling for Semi Sub exploration Rigs but in supplying offshore wind farms ...you done built the wrong boat
