I remember in a storm of Eyemouth rocky Scottish coast we had to get a failed roller back into his boat we used a technique called Eskimo rescue pulled his water filled sea kayak ( it did have bulkheads) across my partners kayaks bow I tipped the boat up and down emptied it and got him back in. Sounds complicated but even in swell and wind heading us for the cliffs me got him in it. Great eighties trips with Durham Kayak Club. Where are we all now forty years on. Nothing is new though.
