  • If you own any equipment, at some point you will have a Grease Zerk not take grease. Tractor loader or backhoe pin not taking grease is more common because they are always in the dirt. Our loader manufacturer recommends greasing the loader every 8 hours of use. I am fairly good at greasing my loader and backhoe at every use, but still, I had a clogged grease port. I have never seen one grease fitting clog being greased as often as I grease my loader, but I had two happen at once. We think we have narrowed down sawdust as the cause. We were moving bucket loads of sawdust from the sawmill, and it is very fine dust. I hope by showing how we fix this problem, It gives someone else the confidence to fix your clogged grease zerk too.
