Here before my eyes lay ruined, destroyed, a city - its roofs open to the sky, its fallen temples, its dislocated arches, its columns lying on the ground, from which one would still recognize the reliefs of Tuscan architecture. Further on, some remains of a gigantic aqueduct; here the high base of an Acropolis with the floating outline of a Parthenon; there are traces of the quay, as if an ancient port had once leaned against the shores of the ocean, and disappeared with its merchant ships and war galleys. Further still, long lines of sunken walls and wide deserted streets - a corrupt Pompeii escaped under the waters. Such was the spectacle that Captain Nemo presented to me! Where was I ? I must know at all costs. I tried to speak, but Captain Nemo stopped me with a gesture and, picking up a piece of chalk stone, walked up to a black basalt rock and traced the word: Atlantis 🧞♂
That was a fantastic grand haunting atmosphere my friend! Really liked the piano coming in at the end, caught me off guard and then the melody with the pad as it faded out was sublime 🖤
