I don't know the Philips Comfort Silver Stone 250 model, you have to judge for yourself based on the shape, whether it is similar or not...

Thanks for the video. I have the same model iron box and the steam button (not the dial) does not come up once pressed. Is it some deposits causing the problem? How to get it fixed?

Probably calcium carbonate has built up on the spike or something is wrong with the spring. You have to disassemble the iron like in the movie without unscrewing the wires and see what is happening there. The skewer is removed after it has been brought into position when the button goes up. If there is sediment on the skewer and the gum, plain vinegar helps with removal. Remember to disconnect the plug from the socket.

I take it you have water in the tank?
Can you hear the drops of water falling on the hot base?
If not, you most likely have a clogged dripper. In the thumbnail photo of the video, you can see a brass spike that goes into a red rubber seal located in the metal base of the iron. Water scale builds up on these parts, which can clog the capillary. The second cause may be clogged steam outlet holes in the base of the iron also by water scale. The main component of this sediment is calcium carbonates, which is why they are removed with vinegar.
