I would love to see you play all of the Darksiders games, as this is one of my favorite franchises. Also, in the area where you first meet Vulgrim, there is a bonus chest that I believe you missed. You can get it by breaking all of the poles around the area. There are more bonus chests that can only be revealed by doing specific things, so keep an eye out for them.
Love this game and cant wait to watch you play it. Also Liam O’Brien is a beast.
I love this game. It was a perfect storm upon release. Garra of the Sand and Luke Skywalker setting out on a brutal Zelda-esque adventure based on a comic book published by the same company as "The Darkness", which also had a fun video game adaptation released a couple of years prior.

If continuing with a playthrough of this means that you'll eventually get to Darksiders 2 and 3 then absolutely! Lots of fun to be had with these games!

Oh so cool to see you play this! Please play the entire trilogy in its fullest. Its one of my fav series and so cool that they do each game in the series in a different style. 1st game is a Zelda-like, 2nd game is a looter, 3rd is a Souls-like
1st is zelda-like? I never played any zelda, so could you explain why? I always compared the first to God of War.
@@Lusius8879 Due to the exploration aspects, basically going into a dungeon, finding a map and key dungeon item, then using that item to beat the boss. That is Zelda at its core and always has been.

@@conaldeugenepeterson2147 Genesis doesnt really count as its not a mainline game and a prequel. Im only considering numbered titles. So yes, currently its a Trilogy.
@@Lusius8879 Zelda likes are similar to metroidvanias but with a few different key aspects. In zelda likes you get items to solve puzzles in order to progress rather than having a power that allows you to unlock new areas. In zelda likes also, they have dedicated dungeons where the vast majority of puzzles solving takes place.

Darksiders is a series I randomly found out about and randomly ended up really liking

Good luck on the 100%! Its not that hard. Just a little time consuming. Its mostly leveling weapons and collectables ontop of standard progression stuff

i love this series of games and i'm glad yuo're finally playing them. i've been saying you should for years! i really hope you play through all 3 of them. i think you'll especially like the 3rd one, because it's more open world in Souls style with a great dodge/riposte based combat system

fun fact, at 9:52, you can see a panel with "Digic" written on it. It's a small reference to Digic Pictures, the studio who made the CG cutscene in the introduction
The Darksiders games are soooo underappreciated. You’re gonna love going through them. Afterwards, why not try going back to the Bayonetta games in prep for Bayonetta 3?

Finally I’ve recommend this game manny times on twitch over the years
The reason why games from back in the day are good is because they spared no expense for voice acting and story. From there the games were usually linear and mechanically straightforward with small/major tweaks for the player to unlock to increase power creep. This creates the feeling of getting stronger as you progress through the story making the entire transaction feel worth it.
Also, small tidbit, Mark Hamill is the voice of The Watcher.

It was 2010, and this game was being advertised that year. Had a good feeling about it, so I went in and got it,
and holy heck that was the best decision I ever made. Been a Darksiders fanatic ever since.

I cannot stress enough how good of a series this is, especially if you follow along with the story like you usually do. Also finishing all three games may take awhile but I urge you to wait to play genesis until you finish Darksiders 3. That said a playthrough of genesis with you and may would be legendary

i forgot how much i love the art style of darksiders
Darksiders is the greatest single player universe I have ever played. They have done so well the story is so good and complex yet understandable if you get into it. Everything makes sense why it's happening. Hopefully we can get to fight lucifer in the next game.
This series is pretty jank, but it's still underrated as hell and all the games are super fun in their own way. I really hope the planned 4th and 5th games will still get made someday, I wanna see how the story ends.
