I absolutely love your reactions for your attention to nuances and your understanding of the musical structure, and I'll never stop saying this. But my favorite aspect of your reaction to this particular album is just the fact that a bearded, tattooed guy gets such genuine pleasure from listening to "Love Story." The most wholesome thing ever :)))))
Loved the reaction and seeing your journey looking through taylor swifts art. Taylor swift and at&t got together for a series called making of a song. she showed her song writing and how she made reputation, check it out i think your enjoy it
Every album since 1989 taylor swift haves invited fans to her house to listen to her album months before it comes out so she can have a personal moment to thank them. She brought 89 fans to all her houses all over the globe like, Nashville, road island, London, New York and other places. She calls it the secret sessions and if your interested in checking it out, taylor documents it but you can't hear the album of course but you can see the fans experience. She also cooks for them and bakes cookies and a session lasts for 5 hours.
this album has a nostalgic value to almost everyone who listens to music in 2008. a lot of people love it when they heard it. idk but i think it contributes to it too
Mr. Perfectly Fine parallels to other songs from Fearless: Mr. never told me why > Tell me why Mr. never had to see me cry > White horse Mr. insincere apology so he > You're not sorry doesn't look like the bad guy

Some of those are coincidences. The original fearless album was almost done, and then when Taylor and Joe broke up she had an emergency recording session for Forever and Always. During the live shows she would imply White Horse is about Joe after the fact because the lyrics can apply to him, but it was written about another guy. This was all back in the myspace days when they wrote a blog post about the drama on the Jonas Brothers page and Taylor's page. Joe said she was a "superstar" and then his song "Much Better" he says "im done with superstars" and realizes he is in love with Camilla Belle. And Taylor rebuttled with "Better than Revenge"

Fun fact, Untouchable is actually a cover! It was originally written and performed by Luna Halo, but because Taylor changed so much in the cover she still receives writing credit for it! The original is so different, it's like it's a brand new song!
I love that Bye Bye Baby is the ending of the album, and the line "bye bye to everything i thought was on my side" because it's like she is saying a definitive goodbye to Scott and Big Machine who she thought was on her side.
😭 ... to think about that way, is so devastating. I can’t believe this man did this to her. But Taylor is right, she does have herself and he can’t hold her back. Everything always works out to her advantage because now newer fans are rediscovering her older music. 💛💛
Her voice from fearless the original release and read her voice is completely different so you will definitely have to go back and listen to their original fearless
This album is ICONIC and i'm absolutly in love with it for about 10 years... Now that is re-recorded is even better. Sending lots of love from Uruguay 🇺🇾❤️
In the original verison of white horse, she sang “this ain’t a fairytale” but in the new version the last time she sings that line she sings “this ain’t our fairytale” which is so cute cuz she’s basically saying that she’s now found her own fairytale with joe alwyn so she’s saying that fairytales are real.
fun fact if you didn't know: the original album went from fearless to change from jump then fall to the other side of the door, those songs were bonus tracks in the deluxe version today was a fairytale was in the movie "valentine's day", so it was released (aka why it's not technically a vault song) but it wasn't in the album at all and, well, the vault songs are what they. i believe some unreleased versions of a few of them have been on the internet for years but some of them had never been heard before
Your interpretation of ‘Come in with the Rain’ was amazing and relistening with thoughts about God gave me chills! The only recent song with religious mentions would be ‘Soon you’ll get better’ when she says “now I’ll pray to Jesus too” for her Mom to get better. Her early work has many mentions because country music has strong associations with religion and religious people. Her Christmas album has a super religious song on it about the reason for the season lol Anyways this is obviously an interest of mine!
also! I love your interpretation of Change. I believe T wrote this song for her original record label, since they were the little guy back in the day and she helped them climb mountains. Now the song symbolizes how Taylor continues to fight for herself even after that same label turned on her. Like... !!! 🥺
Couldn't agree more about Taylor getting better at the arrangement of her tracks over the years. I've always gotten slightly fatigued by the second half of this album, despite loving literally every single song, because the larger storyline gets foggy. You put it into words perfectly!
You have to watch the lyric video for the best day it’s so beautiful. There are pictures and videos of her and her family when she was a kid. She even shows the video she sings about of her and her mom in the kitchen.
By the way - yes, all the vault songs included on this album because it was written during the same period of time. So she wrote all of that when she was 16-18.
"Today was a fairytale" was in the movie "Valentine Day" The Vault songs were written when she was 15-19. I think 4 of them were when she was 15, Mr Perfectly fine was when she was 19. I think Keith Urban was also singing backup vocals on "We Were Happy" She opened for Keith Urban when she was starting out.
I teared up a little when you said you'd pick change as your baseball song. change's always been one of my fav from fearless and I can see how powerful it would be to walk in with it in the background
I feel like this re-recorded version gave me a whole new level of appreciation for it. And I think it has a lot to do with her mature vocals. Really can’t wait to here all of these other vault songs.
When I listened to Change, it made me think about her losing her masters and overcoming it!!! If it was a single that just came out, I would think it was referencing to that!! It made me tear up unexpectedly last night 😭
I love your reactions so much. This album was such a big part of my teenage years and to see someone else enjoy it for the first time, it’s just the greatest.
What you mentioned about the order of the songs being a complete rollercoaster, that is absolutely true, but I thinks it fits so well to the heart and love live of a teenager. At least it does for me 😅
Untouchable is a cover, the original is a pop/punk song by the band Luna Halo. They actually agreed to let Taylor have writing credits on the song because she changed the sound so drastically and changed a couple lyrics. You should check out the original sometime, it's wild how different they are!
Country music does have a lot of references to religious aspects, mostly because of that 'home-grown' environment being centered in the more religious south. They're not always in your face or overt, they can be biblical allusions (like The Snake by Eric Church, fantastic song by way) or using more metaphorical parallels. I also want everyone to know just how talented Kieth Urban is. He is such an incredible guitarist and a good singer. It might not be everyone's cup of tea but giving some of his work a chance is worth it. Love, Pain, and the Whole Crazy Thing is a great album from him. He is doing backup vocals and in the band for We Were Happy, most people seem to be missing that but he talked about it on IG to promote the release. His biggest album was probably Golden Road but he has at least one Greatest Hits albums. Not saying you have to film a reaction, but if you want to give it try then absolutely check him out. There are some amazing artists in country music that appeal to all sorts of tastes.
Revisiting your reactions to this album because you are a joy to watch admiring and dissecting the songs. I admire your dedication, and like you said, Taylor's as well to rerecord this album. I can imagine the nostalgia it brings to a lot of her fans. I am of Elvis Presley's time but I can understand how a lot would cry hearing the songs of their teen years. Just love Taylor!
Yes I would say that religion it definitely mentioned more in country music than any other genre I Listen to, and I do listen to a lot of country and most artists mention religion/God/church in at least one of their songs!
It’s like we know her because it’s like we’re hearing her diary and just see her grow through the years with each album. She’s so honest and vulnerable with us
im always so emotional watching you sink into taylor's music, it's truly magical experience to see how you interpret those amazing songs and simply just feel them. i really am grateful for your vulnerability here, you're the best man. always can't wait for your videos💛
also I couldn't help myself but scream 'same' to you in my screen from time to time because you are so spot on with everything you said in the video! loved it, truly enjoyed this reaction
I think Come In With The Rain is definitely about a partner who is a bit wishy washy, but she still holds out hope this person will figure themselves out (talk to the wind, talk to yourself, talk to god) and commit. The song for me perfectly captures the mixed feelings of getting real tired of someone's bullshit, but still being so deeply in love with them. You're exhausted so all you can do is open the window and hope they'll come in.
I watched the whole thing and had the best time watch you having the best time haha. I love how you picked up on the themes and motifs throughout the album. The ending of The Other Side... might be my favorite part of the whole album so I was thrilled to see you loved it as well 😊 “Who gave her the right to end a song this great” 🙌🏻
I can only say that this album is beyond any words i can describe..& ive been a die hard swifties back in the days when we still using myspace..& im so blessed to love her since back then. Interestingly though..I've never thought 'Come in with the rain' like u do b4 this. But u make great sense coz Taylor really love rain. She practically installed REAL rain in her 1st. headlining tour. She has played in many rain shows eversince.. i mean like IN THUNDERSTORM POURING RAIN! & fans wouldnt move an inch coz her concerts in pouring rain something to behold forever in ur memory.
I SO agree when you said you can sense that she’s smiling while singing!! I thought the same thing!! I loved this :) Thank you for taking your time to appreciate Taylor
Taylor changed the lyrics of Bye Bye Baby. On the original unreleased demo we heard years ago, it was bye to 'one thing' but she changed it to 'everything' in this version and my god somehow it is sadder.
i can't tell if she is referencing God on this album or not, but she does identify as a Christian. i know she mentions it in Miss Americana when talking to her dad about speaking out against Trump, she says "I live in Tennessee, I am a Christian, thats not what we stand for." and she does reference God in Lover and in her earlier music sometimes as well.
you probably realized this while listening to the song but the best day is about her mom! they're extremely close and have an amazing relationship (still today) and when you know how much they love each other the song is that much more touching. especially the end
I clicked right away. I watched this whole reaction on my other account and enjoyed them. Nice interpretation and how u correlate Fearless to the song Today was a Fairytale.
I love how much fun you had listening to this. You caught so many rain references! lol This album rocks so hard. It’s a total fake out like some others said, because the singles are about fairytales and love but then she hits you with the dramatic, bitter rage of a teenage girl just broken up with who knows she deserved better. And then the world loved her for it!! It’s so awesome. She literally jumps into the deep end of her emotions in Fearless without holding back. I agree with you, Forever & Always is good but I’ve always preferred the piano version! I’d say most mainstream country artists, in the last 20 years at least, do reference God pretty consistently in their albums. Also, Keith Urban is the one doing the backup vocals in We Were Happy! He’s up there as one of my own favorite country artists.
Unpopular opinion: Hey Stephen is my favorite track on this album and quite possibly my favorite song of hers...idk why but I just love it a lot and always have since I heard it in 2008 when I was 7
My dude (I know this is a year old lol) I’ve felt a survivor vibe from several of her tracks like I can’t pin it down but I’m with you who put their hands on Taylor

The song for me perfectly captures the mixed feelings of getting real tired of someone's bullshit, but still being so deeply in love with them. You're exhausted so all you can do is open the window and hope they'll come in.
I got this album for my 14th birthday and listened to it getting ready for school every day. It’s pure nostalgia, and hits just as hard at 25.
I watched the whole thing and had the best time watch you having the best time haha. I love how you picked up on the themes and motifs throughout the album. The ending of The Other Side... might be my favorite part of the whole album so I was thrilled to see you loved it as well 😊 “Who gave her the right to end a song this great” 🙌🏻
35:31 It's my favourite song from Fearless😭
She doesn't have any such god references beyond the debut . Also the standard edition of the album that won 4 grammy ends at change.
She references God in Fearless and Lover
She references the Bible in Holy ground
@@elliemegel2846 I meant intense awkward references like the ones in debut .
The original album sounds basically the same but Taylor’s Version is much more clear/crisp and more vocally mature
i didn’t think i was gonna love f&a piano version so much but it’s one of my favs on the album
Thanks for reacting and love your reaction.
The vault tracks has been taking me to places i have never been..its soo freaking good 😩
You are so right about Don't You. 😔 that song hits so raw
"Because it's Taylor"
The official slogan of Taylor Swift.
Im so excited for speak now taylor's version😍
I always thought Tell Me Why was about her dad 🫣
i can't tell if she is referencing God on this album or not, but she does identify as a Christian. i know she mentions it in Miss Americana when talking to her dad about speaking out against Trump, she says "I live in Tennessee, I am a Christian, thats not what we stand for." and she does reference God in Lover and in her earlier music sometimes as well.
Jack and Aaron produced the vault songs! So good 👍 Also I feel like Bye bye baby is saying goodbye to the whole big machine, scot and scooter shit.
Love the “I think we are talking about the forever and always guy” indeed ! Hahaha u got it so right!
you probably realized this while listening to the song but the best day is about her mom! they're extremely close and have an amazing relationship (still today) and when you know how much they love each other the song is that much more touching. especially the end
I clicked right away. I watched this whole reaction on my other account and enjoyed them. Nice interpretation and how u correlate Fearless to the song Today was a Fairytale.
I love how much fun you had listening to this. You caught so many rain references! lol
This album rocks so hard.
You could react to the Fifteen and The Best day lyrics videos cause they’re the cutest 😭😭😭😭
If you watch the lyric video for The Best Day there's home videos and she shows the video of her at 3 with the paint set in the kitchen!
I was really hoping you'd do a reaction to Fearless, I love your reactions and how insightful they are!
Colbie Caillat returned to rerecord her vocals for Breathe!
Untouchable is my favorite Taylor Swift song to this day. I know it's more of a cover but it's perfect the way she made it.
You spoke for all of us. I have nothing else to add.
Change is the closing track of the standard og album
Anyway TWILY is great, talk to a wall
The original Fearless album was Taylor's first Grammy album of the year.
COLBIE CAILLAT SANG BUBBLY- it defined a whole generation lol she was most recently involved with a band called Gone West!
She actually had hits before other than Bubbly. Lucky, Brighter Than The Sun, Falling For You. She's famous here in my country back then.
Gone West? Yeah, he better be gone for good
@@Cedrix315 yes definitely! I think bubbly might be the most recognizable but you're right, might be another hit that he recognizes!
this version specifically of other side of the door is like one of my favorite country songs of hers i think it’s so strong i love it so much
Unpopular opinion: Hey Stephen is my favorite track on this album and quite possibly my favorite song of hers...idk why but I just love it a lot and always have since I heard it in 2008 when I was 7
when u didn’t react to mr perfectly fine right away I was worried and kinda sad but NOW ITS OKAY omg I love ur reactions
My dude (I know this is a year old lol) I’ve felt a survivor vibe from several of her tracks like I can’t pin it down but I’m with you who put their hands on Taylor
I wonder if 1989 is gonna break the billboard again?
as of late 2022 the girl from fifteen Abigail who is still real life friends with Taylor just got married and tTylor was her bridesmate
Just seen this pop up on my feed and smiled, then realised going to have to watch it in installments! 🙂
i'm here after watching the 3-hour version on Patreon that was FIRE
😭🖤
