The irony is I think these 3 are some of the best British black role models for young black kids. I understand they don't appreciate the responsibility, but being a 'role model' doesn't mean you cannot make a mistake. A lot of young black kids with a similar upbringing look up to them, it's aspirational for them (more like 'i can do this too').
They don't do this to be role models there people who have lives and this is there proffesion
@@skinnylozano9707 No one intends to be a role model. People make you their role model. Michelle Obama's profession isn't being a role model, she just happens to be one to people who look up to her. A role model can be absolutely anybody, and people see that in these three.
I don't even think they don't appreciate the responsibility I think its more to do with the fact that they never signed up to be role models.
The thing is, when people are put on pedestals, other people don’t allow them to make mistakes. Its not about that they *cant* its moreso theyre under constant scrutiny regardless. They didn’t sign up, or start their youtube careers thinking “i wanna be a role model” they just are.

I think a lot of people do forget that 'famous' people are human too, its like they internally dehumanize the person to the point they expect them to be able to cope with all the judgement and negative comments like a robot, forgetting they're one person getting hate from 10s, 100s, 1000s etc of people. With these three and other UA-camrs (keyword: UA-camrs), the privacy thing comments are SO valid, because they probably started out not even knowing where this would go and never wanted to have their personal lives on show like that. However, with INFLUENCERS, you now know that this is a job where the whole point is to share your life, share your day, share what you use and be publicly known for it, otherwise you are not an influencer. It's sad that personal lives and privacy is affected (even worse that mental health is affected) but before you try to become an influencer, you really need to consider if you're cut for that life.
I also don't think they're seen as role models necessarily, it's just that everyone has their own way of thinking. If you go against the majority, they're gonna call you out because they think your opinion is morally wrong, not necessarily because they see you as someone to look up to, although with a large platform you will inevitably influence the way younger people view certain topics.
