The most CHAOTIC city in the world | Dhaka, BANGLADESH 🇧🇩 (first Impressions)
Вставка
- Опубліковано 9 вер 2024
- After some longer travels through Vietnam and Thailand, I was ready to explore something a bit more extreme. I've always heard that Bangladesh was not a typical tourist destination and was extremely challenging to travel.
So I booked a flight to the famously busy city of Dhaka, Bangladesh to meet up with my good friend @Travelwithchris to go do some hardcore exploring. We met in the Dhaka airport and wow! I consider myself extremely patient and smart when it comes to travel, but Bangladesh was NEXT LEVEL! Join me as I make my first impressions traveling to the busiest and most chaotic city in the world. My plan is to talk to people, try new foods, learn the culture, see the highs and lows of the beautiful country, and ultimately get a feel for what it's like to live in this new and different country.

Hey Brad. Great video. I have been following Chris for quite a while and that is where I first saw you. Nice to see you both together for this one.
Nice! Chris is the man!
this is not polluted this is fog!!
Really? I wasn’t sure, but it felt like that was just always there. I’m sorry if I misspoke 🙏
Welcome back. You guys may join Steve Long from Germany. Rickshaw puller is telling the present situation in Bangladesh.
Oh wow. I’ll look him up! Thank you!!!🙏
ramadan mubarak ❤🇧🇩
🇧🇩🥰🙏
I don't understand why BBC or other international media represent Bangladesh🇧🇩 by showing the crowded train journey of Dhaka during Eid! Eid🌙 is the biggest festival in our country, when everyone goes to their village home🏡 together, so it is normal to have a crowd!👨👩👧👦 They do not show any videos of other districts or cities of Bangladesh🇧🇩! Dhaka may be lightly polluted but not the whole of Bangladesh! Bangladesh is called the land of natural beauty!🏞️ Please visit other places in Bangladesh!🇧🇩 Then the word pollution will leave your head!
Very good to know!! And ya I’ve only seen Dhaka so far but I need to go see all the other beautiful places!
@@WhereisBrad come to the Rajshahi city which is the cleanest

the food you had is called bhapa (steamed) pitha (cake) and yeah it is made out of molasses and flour and our internal joke is that if you want someone choke to death just feed them 2 of these at one go xD
Hahahahahaha thanks for the info! I’m glad it wasn’t just me that it was kinda dry
I was learning English by those kind of video, and to be honest, you have quite standard accent, there is one channel got a sccotish accent, which is chanllengable to me lol
Oh nice! I hope this helps you learn!
Let me know of you have any questions about the words I use!

Hahaha are you serious?!?! Omg that’s so funny and a little sad. I really appreciate you coming in with the translation!!!! 🙏🥰🇧🇩
@@WhereisBrad he thought you understood the language he was just explaining his situation lolz it’s funny why would he say that to a tourist lolz hahahaha
Hahaha wow.
I guess maybe because tourists aren’t very common there
@@WhereisBrad we do have a lot coming these days he didn’t know you were a tourist or not he is not that educated so don’t expect much from him

Thank you! Hope you have an amazing week too!
@@WhereisBradHow are you doing, Brad? 😊
Love from Bangladesh ❤🇧🇩
Thank you! Lots more videos coming soon!
For those who don't speak Bengali, what the rickshaw puller was saying is that the life in Bangladesh especially for the working class is extremely hard. They can't provide enough food for their children. On the other side, corrupt people and the government are stealing the tax money and settling in the western countries.
Thank you very much! It’s so helpful to finally understand what people are saying
AIs it before Ramadan?
Yes this video was from before Ramadhan
Welcome brother😊❤
My country name is Bangladesh
My Home dristic name is barishal
Very beautiful and Excellent my home dristic
So brother come My home dristic 🇧🇩🇧🇩🇧🇩😮😮😊😍
Looked it up. That’s not too far from Dhaka! It looks beautiful
Dear brother, its not rottey , its food mogluy...very taste and delicious.. If you're eating this food , you are not hungry
I need to try it next time!!
Thank you!
What !!!! What did that rickshaw said ????? 😂😂😂😂 He asked you to take him England with you and he will drive rickshaw there 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hahahaa he had a lot to say. Nice guy though lol he was down to talk!
Man next time please take UBER and tell the driver to take EXPRESS WAY (the express way will collect toll fee less than $1, 80-90 bangladeshi taka), but this would save your time and you will experience something cool. In fact, you can see the dhaka from an elevated place. Take the express way and I am sure you will come here to thank me.
I ended up taking the expressway back to the airport before and Wow it was exactly like you described! Completely empty, and an amazing view of the city on both sides! Amazing!🤩
@@WhereisBradI thought you guys are still in BD. Looking forward for the next video
Thanks a bunch! 🙏🙏
And you ate "pitha". Pitha means rice cakes
I wasn’t sure if that was “pita” but a Bangladesh version. Turns out it was completely different. Thank you!
Thanks for visiting. You look like Bangladeshi.
Thank you I love Bangladesh!!🇧🇩 haha glad I can fit in! lol but honestly, everyone there knows I’m a foreigner
Just wait bro a completely new airport has been building than you wont have to face any problem ❤❤
I saw that airport construction! Exciting! I can’t wait to try it out!
Yikes. Thank you for showing us which countries not to visit hahaha
Haha
😎💯✌️
Hehe 🥰🙏
what is it called? - simplify it to - what is its name?... whats the name of this food/drink/tribe/ritual/ etc.
This is great advice I should take everywhere I go! Thank you!🙏
Come to Pakistan
Oh I would love to come!
Too much Chris
Honestly, Chris is a very experienced traveler. Dhaka was very different and intense. I’m very lucky I was able to go with him
Good morning Brad thanks for showing hi Chris 😂👍🏿✌🏾
Morning! Very welcome🙏
Looks like Jakarta....twin cities
Really?! I haven’t been to Jakarta yet. What about it is similar? Where are you from?
why would anyone wanna go to a hellhole like Dhaka...you must be crazy going to Dhaka from KL heavan
Haha it was definitely a big change, but I want to see the entire world!
Right
Dhaka is just 1 city, but if you visit out of Dhaka, It's beautiful, raw village with fresh air. Also there are better places in Dhaka but people like to film the dustbins and polluted river. Anyways, for you it may look like "hellhole like Dhaka" but for us it's our home and we love what we have.🙂
its not nice to look down other countries. Every country has own bad and good sides. KL also is not perfect. Be humble. Mostly from a Muslim country to another Muslim country
They're the travellers, their job is to explore the world and they're not on a limited vacation pass. For tourists that spend their limited holidays, ofc, they'll aim for the country with maximum modern infrastructure. But for Chris and Brad, every place on this globe is their experiment, and of course, later they'll be the most seasoned experienced travellers. This is their source of joy. 😊
Btw, i'm Malaysian and was once a seaman (cook), and Bangladesh for me, has the best food. If given the choice between our Mamak/Nasi Kandar and Bangladesh food, idk but I'll definitely go for Bangladesh food. And their honesty, sincerity, humility, generosity, their sense of devotion, the spark power for knowledge and their gratefulness over everything, is next level...and as a Muslim, we Malaysians have a lot to learn from them. 😊
Love ❤❤❤
Wooo!🥳 🥰🙏
Welcome to Bangladesh 🇧🇩
Thank you so much! What an amazing place!
❤🇧🇩🇧🇩
Amazing Bangladesh! 🇧🇩
